The whole experience. The Hotel was in an easy location, close to central station but away from the busyness. The Hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. Where it was positioned we found some real hidden gems locally. I literally thought I’d found my favourite place for a treat getaway. I’m very sad that you have had to close down. All the staff are lovely.

The fact that moments after discovering you, you are closing down . I had literally told all my friends about you and was planning on coming with some friends.

The girl who received me was very nice and polite. The place was clean, very cosy and comfortable. I even had nice views from my window! They have free tea and coffe and biscuits in the room for you. Location is perfect just between exeter st davis station and the cathedral. The bed was very comfortable! they even have an outside area which is lovely!

I had to buy the adaptor. I understand that if I ask for it and I don´t return it I´m charged with a fee but the only option being to pay for it (5pounds!) it´s not the best. There is no lift, had the room in the last floor (5th) this is marely to inform other travallers since it´s not something I´m personally bothered by. The lovely lady did offer to help bring everything up. The window shutter was a bit broken so I couldn´t open it completely to fully enjoy the view. This is not a con to staying here but did miss that!

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room (14) was clean and big enough for 3 people. I was a bit nervous about staying in a hotel with no ensuite but the bedroom had a basin with hand-wash provided and the bathroom and toilets were clean and well stocked with hand-wash, hair and body wash and toilet roll. There was also extra toilet roll in the bedroom. We were provided with plenty of tea and coffee and more tea/coffee was provided when we asked for it. The location for the city centre is amazing and there's plenty of parking nearby.

The toilet on the top floor was tiny and difficult to lock. We weren't given any fire escape information.

Hotel staff were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is in a great location for the city centre.

We were in attic rooms. The larger twin room was ok and comfortable but the single was very pokey. The tv is really unwatchable from the bed and it really felt too small for the money and to be comfortable. I wasn’t sure what the procedure would be should there be a fire. This worried me as we were up very high. However, the manager did say they had not long taken it over so hopefully improvements will be made.

The accommodation was immaculately clean, including toilets, bathroom and reception area. The room was light and airy and had everything I needed, including small wardrobe, hand basin, TV, tea/coffee facilities and biscuits. The bed was very comfortable with two deep pillows. There was a folder giving detailed information on the facilities and nearby places to eat. A quiet side-street location. The car park was very close, and free parking between 6 pm and 8 am was not a problem.

If I had stayed longer, daytime parking would have to be paid for. There was a crack in the hand basin though this proved to be purely cosmetic and there were no leaks.

The guesthouse is very nice. All the staff were extremely friendly and genuine. I think you can always tell when hotel staff are treated well and I hope I'm right in believing it's reflected in the service! Had a great rapport with them and they are a major part of what I enjoyed about staying here. The room was spotless. I especially liked that they provided oat milk on the coffee tray in the room, I had never seen that before and it is great for lactose sensitive people like me. The bed was comfy and the room was warm.

The only thing is that the toilet facilities are small and were far from the room. I know that I booked for a shared bathroom but it would have been good to know in advance it was one and a half flights of stairs away, it would be a worry for someone with mobility issues who might not be phased by climbing up to the room once a day fully ready, but could struggle at night or when carrying toiletries.

Emily and Pedro and all the other staff I met were amazing. They were all friendly and helpful in everyway. The single room I had was comfy with a nice rooftop view. A 10 minute walk from Central station and a 20 minute walk to the Quayside. It was also a quiet and decent area. Apart from tea and coffee in the rooms they also had a speciality tea and coffee maker in the lounge. There was a also a very nice garden-patio. It was a great week staying with them and hopefully I will go back one day.

The mattress toppers need replacing.

Brilliant location near Exeter Central station, city centre and a small neighbourhood of shops and cafes. Easy for the university too which I needed to get to. Street was very pretty. Receptionist friendly. Room was good and nicely kitted out, good showed, coffee and tea making facilities. Lovely little hideaway. Lounge also looked nice but didn’t use it.

Not a huge problem but I was on the ground floor by the stairs and thought I went to bed at about 11.30pm (so not early) I could hear everyone coming back as they talked and went up the stairs and moved around in their rooms which seem to have wood or laminate flooring. It wasn’t terrible, no one was being unreasonably loud and if I’d been asleep already I might not have noticed it but in that spot the acoustics aren’t great late at night.

Staff were just so lovely and helpful. Great location, nice view from top floor room, loved the coffee machine, very cosy place, clean and comfy, staff very willing to help with anything

Very very sad to hear it was closing the day I left and all staff made redundant with minimum notice given. Olivia and all the team were amazing. I hope the owner takes extra care of them and helps with getting them new, secure employment nearby
