It was a nice location in a smaller area. The distance to Stratford was not very far. There were a few nice little places to grab a pizza, coffee, or ice cream right by the Shakespeare Inn. The lady that runs the Inn is so very pleasant. She is always smiling and helpful. It's no trouble to get extra towels from them. Our room was cleaned when we wanted it, and on days we didn't want it, they were kind enough to respect our privacy. We have nothing but great things to say about the staff! The people are all very nice.

The drawback was not being able to get coffee at the hotel before 7 AM normally. We are early birds, so we had to drive to Stratford for coffee many mornings. The gas station down the road opens at 5 a.m., usually 5 days a week. However, it unfortunately was only consistent for the first 4 days. We are absolutely coffee dependent! Knowing that now, I will be sure to have instant coffee with me for emergencies, lol. There were no outlets by the bed to plug in our phones. It sounds like a small thing, but with no clock in the room, we looked at our phone all the time. It was our alarm, too.

Location is super close to downtown. Rooms are comfortable. Back gardens are pretty, good for a nice walk or even sitting out back in the evening. overall, very happy with the stay especially for the price it was. Me and my partner plan to come back again at some point.

Beds are not super comfy, but on our second night we had adjusted a bit better and slept a little better than the first night. Room temperature was either super cold or super warm on one of our nights.

The staff were super friendly, personable, and welcoming, even with our last minute booking. They were attentive (we left in the morning and they called to make sure we didn't forget to check it and return the key). The bed was super comfortable and it was conveniently located 5 minutes from a wedding we were attending in New Hamburg.

At night we had to go outside to go around the building to get ice/ boiling water because the main lobby is locked at 11pm. No complaints about this, but just the other guests who were loitering around the door and loudly drinking at 2am. It would be nice to have access to the inside amenities without going outside.

There are limited food amenities. Tea and coffee can be made at a central area. A refrigerator is in the room. Parking is convenient and area very quiet at night. It would be nice to have an extra chair which was a little more comfortable. However the building seems clean and well maintained. The attentant at the reception very informative and helpful. Easy to understand.

It would be nice if there was a "fast food" facility in the area. It is necessary to drive 10 km to Stratford for breakfast. TV is meets basic needs. A guide in the room would be helpful. There is more stations available than first realized.

Ms. Vani was very kind to let us check in early and that set us up for an enjoyable evening at Stratford where we watched a play.

There was ample parking and we felt very safe . We were all seniors and having our rooms on the ground floor worked out great for us

We arrived late but stuff welcomed us nice and we were looking for something to drink my son was thirsty there is no vending machine they gave us bottle water and can of pop free of charge..

Nothing bad things to say. We stayed only for night and arrived very late… left really early in the morning.

No breakfast but had a common kitchen where you can make your own tea anytime you wanted. Oh, they had oatmeal cookies in the morning for anyone interested.

At least a water bottle in the room. The space in between desks could have been more cleaner, was slightly dusty.

I have stayed here at least 3 times and always leave happy. The staff are friendly and helpful. I enjoy the self serv coffee (and Dad’s cookies) breakfast they offer. It is always clean and well kept. Anytime I have had a small issue the desk answers prompt. A great location for anyone visiting a Waterloo student from out of town. Only 30 min from Waterloo. Rates are a plus too! Thank you Shakespeare Inn!

Very friendly staff! Excellent cleaning service. Enjoyed the gazebo and surrounding yard - very pretty. Lots of parking space. Enjoyed the coffee/tea room throughout our stay.

There was nothing that was of any concern.

Friendly staff, cleanliness and early check in.

Maintenance of room. Noisey fridge, extremely noisey bathroom fan which needed lubrication or replacement, toilet seat was so loose it was dificult to sit on.
