Breakfast was cold Saturday. The room was not great with tge view.

Professional, efficient and friendly staff. ALL staff that we encountered during our stay went over and above to ensure that we were looked after and comfortable. Lunch in the restaurant was excellent, ( sweet potato, chilli and coconut soup/ staff happily replaced the sourdough bread with granary) . Everywhere spotlessly clean and well maintained, Rituals products throughout the hotel, (quality and indulgence)! Very quiet on a Tuesday night stay, best sleep for a long time, air con in room, ridiculously comfortable bed, outdoor balcony. Fridge/ complimentary soft drinks/ water provided in the room. Upgraded re room on arrival, complimentary drinks vouchers, chocolates. Fabulous hotel! Thank you to all of you for your hospitality, will definitely stay with you again!

Hard to find anything! Purely from a personal point of view/ needs, would have liked a non slip mat in the shower ( didn't ask staff for at the time due to the late hour, used a hand towel), and more ' cooked to order' options at breakfast, ( i.e fried or poached eggs, eggs benedict etc)

The rooms were beautiful and had newly refurbished bathrooms and they felt super luxurious, we also used the gym which was great quality and the breakfast was incredible. They even gave my parents a small gift without me even asking them to, knowing it was their wedding anniversary! Can't reccomend this hotel enough, we wished we could have stayed longer, and it's right beside the station and a mile from central camridge (30 min walk).

Nothing, everything surpassed our expectations and we were really happy with the hotel facilities staff and all of the standards and so glad we chose this hotel!

My stay at Clayton Hotel Cambridge was great thanks to two amazing people—Mr. Ali and Victor. Mr. Ali was the only one who cleaned my room and did it better than anyone else. Victor was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout. They both made a real difference!

there were days when other housekeeping staff didn’t clean the room properly, and it was disappointing. Also, whenever I called reception for something simple like toilet tissue, it took more than an hour to arrive. The service would really benefit from better consistency.

The hotel is very close to the train station. . We greatly appreciated the upgrade to an executive room. That was very thoughtful as it is our first ever visit to Cambridge. The room was very spacious with a comfortable bed, small kitchen area with bar fridge tea and coffee making. The bathroom was very large.

We found the heavy quilt far to warm and thus resulted in us requesting a top sheet and light blanket. However the hotel doesn't really supply an alternative. They went out of their way to find two smaller blankets for us. Thank you so much! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Cambridge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, but what I particularly liked was the service I received in reception. I had booked through Booking.com and had received an email inviting me to check in online, something which, as a person in their 60s, I can't stand! I ignored it, but a few hours before I was supposed to arrive, I received a message on my phone telling me "Check in online, time is running out". This led me to panic and it seemed ridiculous, seeing as I had already paid for the room. I therefore called the hotel where a very helpful young man called Suhas told me that the message was automatic and that I didn't need to reply. This calmed me down and helped me enjoy my stay. Suhas and his colleagues were also very helpful when I arrived at the hotel. If there's a message in here it's that people of my generation (and there are lots of us) like to deal with people when we go to a hotel or restaurant and not apps! Your people are good and it makes a difference. By the way, this review is for internal use: if you need to publish it, then PLEASE keep it anonymous!

Very close to the train station. I like the ambience of the hotel. The room was comfortable, had good natural light and was very clean. It had good facilities.

When I arrived around 8:30 am, I asked if it was possible to check-in early. A member of the staff replied that there were rooms available. However, it would cost me £115 for an early check-in. I responded it was unreasonable. He then said he could reduce it to £45. That did not sound right to me: there should just be one price. It appeared as if I was being tested first to pay an extravagant amount for an early check-in. If it had been said upfront that it would cost £45 for an early check-in, it would have been different. The breakfast options were limited for the price of stay.

The room The comfy bed was amazing Staff very professional and helpful. Ethan at the bar very professional and helpful Phillip at reception was very helpful when trying to fix our AC issue in the room which he managed to fix. He also provided a heater until this was done 👍

We was told breakfast was served up until 10.30am at the bar area when asked. Got there for 10am on the 1st morning and the restaurant lady made a point of saying she had been waiting for us to arrive. On the 2nd morning we went for breakfast earlier, I was asked as I entered the restaurant if my husband was on his way. Service overall good and breakfast was tasty however felt very rushed 👎

The room was lovely - roomy and airy with an extremely comfortable bed - gorgeous duvet and very thick mattress topper. We had such a great sleep. The staff were very friendly. We arrived early and as the room was ready we went straight to our room - the man on reception was so helpful. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. The location was great - a 15 mum into Cambridge city center but this meant we were able to see lots of great eating places we wouldn't have seen had we stayed closer to the city centre. Also very close to the botanical gardens which are well worth a visit. It's also close to the train station.

Nothing really although some nights I would have liked to be close to the city centre although it was an easy walk. The lighting in the room was a little dark but it was manageable.

The bed was AMAZING so comfy.

The receptionist was unable to provide any information about the parking situation at the station, which we found rather unhelpful given that a large majority of hotel guests must rely on it. As the hotel does not offer parking, it would be beneficial for the staff to be knowledgeable about the recommended parking options and how they operate. Additionally, we were disappointed to find the bar closed when we returned at around 10:50 PM on a Saturday night. We had hoped to enjoy a couple of drinks but were unable to do so due to the early closure.
