The history is well celebrated and a nice touch to the stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Water to the room is consistently hot which was very nice.

Only the bedroom has air conditioning in the summer so the parlor rooms stay pretty warm throughout the day and night for anyone sleeping on the pullout bed. No additional fans were in the room but we did not ask for one either. Bathroom does not vent externally so it gets balmy and the water is on the softer side so be prepared to not be able to properly rinse off soap or shampoo. Comes with the age of the building so it is acceptable but wanted to add a note for those wanting to stay in the parlor rooms.

We loved this historic hotel with a fabulous location. Being a first thing in the morning coffee drinker, I appreciated the high quality coffee in the room. The staff was incredible. And, the grounds and rooms were immaculate. We wandered down town for dinner. An easy walk over the highway. We will stay again.

Historic hotels always have a quirk or two. We called it an early night as we had reservations for an early morning hike to Hanging Lake the next day. Being that our room was on the courtyard, Saturday evening music in the courtyard was noticed. Of note, it did not keep us from sleeping, but it was noticable.

The atmosphere of the hotel is lovely. Rooms have been renovated recently with the current owners trying to restore the original look of rooms. The bar and restaurant are wonderful, and it was very easy to order to-go since I had my dog with me. The best part of the hotel is the outdoor area with firepits. It's great to lounge and meet other travelers. The hotel is also a short walk across the bridge to the main city center. I would definitely recommend the Hotel Colorado to anyone wanting to stay in Glenwood Springs, especially with a pet.

Parking was an additional fee as was having a pet, but this is shown on the booking so there were no surprises.

The location is very good and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We loved having breakfast in the hotel, although the kitchen did not quite get our orders right - but overall the food was very good, and the wait staff was very nice.

It is lovely that you allow pets, but there was a dog on the floor that was continuously barking (I think the owners must not have been in the room). I don't recall hearing it inside the room, but rather in the hallway as we were getting ready to check out. Would also have loved to have a mini fridge in the room as we were dining out and our daughters brought leftovers back to the room (to eat later) but ended up having to throw it out since there was no refrigeration.

This hotel is amazing! We love the hotel and all the history behind it. We walked into our room and could not believe the size of our room, the cleanest of the room and the ceilings were so tall. My husband and I felt like we stepped back in time. We brought our elderly dog and upon arrival the staff gave us a cute little bag with treats in the bag along with two small stuffed vegetables for our dog to chew on them or use them as toys. I highly recommend this hotel. Within walking distance to Glenwood Springs (Hot Springs) which was so refreshing. Oh yeah, we ate dinner at the hotel as well. WOW!! My food and my husbands food was fantastic!

Location is perfect for us. The hot springs pool and vapor caves are within walking distance, there's a pedestrian bridge over the Colorado that connects you to shops and restaurants. The room had been updated recently and had a fresher look. Since our last stay in 2016, more parking has been added. We honeymooned here 35 years ago, so the Hotel Colorado has always had a special place in our hearts. We've stayed here about 10 times over the years.

The bathroom was 6" higher than the rest of the room. We were concerned about tripping over the threshold in the middle of the night. The king bed was pretty soft in the middle, not the best night's sleep

This place is totally cool and iconic, it's a must stay when in Glenwood Springs! The hospitality options were great, we ate dinner at the hotel (bison steak done to rare perfection) and then relaxed with drinks in the quad. The breakfast was big...bring your appetite! Super easy to cross the walking bridge into GS proper, have a great walk, and eat dinner. We liked the Pullman for dinner near the train station too. Totally stay there again.

Nothing, it exceeded expectations and we loved the place.

I spent a short night at Hotel Colorado, arriving at 10pm and leaving at 7am. There was no food available apart from the coffee shop from 6.30am, where I was able to stock up. There were no taxis to be had in the morning, so I dragged my 40kg of luggage 600 yards to a locus bus which linked to the excellent Bustang service to Denver. The Hotel itself was quite grand, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. And not very expensive.

We liked the age of the hotel it had history. The room was nice and clean. The bed decent. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We liked the restaurant. The food was delicious and the drinks good. Ashley the bartender was helpful and extremely good. Good location. We had a great stay.

The window unit rattled but it was an expected inconvenience for the age of the hotel.

I loved the history. It was well maintained. Comfortable and close to the hot springs pool.

The staff were not very friendly. Not at check in, not in the coffee shop. And not at the restaurant. It was disappointing as a guest of the hotel to not have priority seating in the hotel restaurant. We were asked every time if we had a reservation and were asked to wait a considerable time for a table. This forced your guests off property for a meal.
