The staff were friendly.our room was clean and bathroom was lovely. This is a very quirky old property it has lots character. The hotel had lovely food excellent breakfast and reasonable . The pub and seating area outside were nice too . Our room didn’t have air con due to age of property but they had fans and window which could be opened . Floors a little uneven but that’s due to age of property. It all added to the experience of staying in an old coaching inn we loved it and plan to go back . Great location in the town .
Nothing that would stop us going back . It was hot so air conditioning would have been nice but we had a fan provided .

The price point was great, the staff were pleasant, and the parking was easy and free due to the times we went. The room was quite clean, although a slight mish mash of newly refurbished and needs a bit of updating. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Thankfully there was a fan as It was really hot in the rooms and the window does open as much as I would have liked. It was quiet, we were above the restaurant, but we were not disturbed. The breakfast was great and we are both fussy vegetarians, so I was surprised. There was everything you needed under one roof- a hotel bar, a pub and a restaurant. Newport Pagnell is a surprisingly lovely, busy, little town, even on a Sunday morning. It has a good cafe culture. We stayed two nights and would stay again. This is a top end 3 star hotel, overall we were happy with our stay.
The bathroom, although it had a bath and shower, was one of the smallest bathrooms I have seen or been in and that includes the ensuites in a Stena Line cabin. The room was a superior double, but again it was very small. I was expecting it to be bigger. There is a suite, but it had already been booked on our dates.

Lovely property, central location and ample parking. Food and staff were brilliant and very friendly. Although it’s located next to a pub and on the high street I found it to be quiet. I booked a double room which was spacious and a very comfy bed!
Although there is parking the bays are not defined meaning the spaces they do have aren’t maximised and so I ended up on the short stay car park every time which is fine as directly next to the hotel, the only difficulty for me was the bays are super narrow so getting my little one in and out was a nightmare. I was on the 3rd floor with my little one and with a lift to only the second floor and multiple sets of stairs to the 3rd floor was again a bit of a pain but fine, if you have mobility issues I recommend notifying the hotel not to be up on the 3rd floor. These are really minor things to call out as over all they did not affect my stay massively as the hotel is great.

The accommodation was as described; clean and well presented. We didn't have the opportunity to sample food from the restaurant. However, the aromas emanating from within were very enticing. As we will be visiting again, we will definitely give their menu a try. The bar has lots of variety in the form of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The staff were friendly and attentive. From what we saw, the venue is very popular with the locals though not to the extent that we felt invaded or uncomfortable. The hotel seemed top meet the needs of a wide range of age groups and, it appears, they are dog friendly as we saw a few pets relaxing under tables within the bars.
The only thing that (slightly) disappointed us was the fact that the Swan's parking spaces were very limited. But... since we were only staying over on the Saturday evening (this time), and we arrived for check-in after 5 PM, the (Council) overflow park allowed us free stay overnight and throughout the following Sunday all day. So, not a great issue but one to be aware of.

Right in the central area and easy to find for a first time guest. Good size for a single room Good facilities including iron and hairdryer and added extra biscuits Comfy and clean Phone in the room so didn't have to go all the way down to reception if needed to contact them. Not a bad price for a Saturday night Nice area to visit and not far from Milton Keynes
Noisy area so couldn't sleep till noise quietened down Heated towel rail in the bathroom made the whole room hotter than expected and had the constantly have fan on, attempt to fix it during the evening made no difference. Couldn't open window because of noise outside. Room I had was not in the expected place and it took a while to locate it. There needed to be more clear signs around.

Spacious room , clean with comfortable seating. Excellent shower. Looked newly refurbished. Rating is solely based on our room as we didn't use any of the facilities & booked on a room only basis although breakfast is available if required. Check out was smooth & morning receptionist very pleasant. Although we couldn't use hotel parking as full easy access to nearby parking was available & free during our overnight stay.
Welcome from evening receptionist was not great. Seemed rather bored! View from room was rather depressing for such a nicely presented room. Few tweaks required as a result of refurbishment e.g loo seat needed tightening & straightening & a shower mat would be nice as surface quite slippery. Morning receptionist made a note of these points so hopefully easily sorted. The hotel's instructions re local Road work diversions needs updating to reflect current position. It was out of date.

The staff are super friendly, the breakfast was superbly cooked, with a choice of your trad English to fruit, cereal yoghurt, all in a really welcoming environment. Also, the price was ridiculously good. £70ish including breakfast.. If you like beds that make you feel like you are on a cloud, this is for you. It's no memory foam, but it's max comfort if you don't need the support.
Nothing particularly.. make sure you read the message the owners send you, otherwise you will get very confused parking. The message gives full instructions where to go, which is great.

Location and parking. Comfortable rooms with all facilities. Friendly staff.
Shower was very small compounded by the fact that you only had the overhead shower option. Needed to supply shower caps for those guests who didn't want to wash their hair. Slight slope in room due to age of building. Could be an issue for older customers along with step /lip into bathroom (room 112). We tried 2 different wines (rose and white) and, whilst appreciating that taste is subjective, your basic Sauvignon blanc was mediocre and over priced for what it was.

It was easy to find and loved it being on the Main Street, really liked the building and feel inside, rooms clean and tidy and was perfect for what we needed from our stay.Staff welcoming, friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious, definitely value for money
Unfortunately the room was just above the outside of the pub area, noise wasn’t a problem until later in the evening when we were trying to get to sleep, noise went on until 12.30 in the morning. I understand it wasn’t the hotel’s fault and when booking again I would just ask to be not near that area

great location and friendly helpful staff.
bit outdated but perfectly comfortable. my husband is on crutches so whilst he doesn't need an accessible room I wasn't aware some rooms (like ours 209) were not accessible by the lift and had a long complicated route involving several steps to get there. receptionist did offer help with bags but didn'temtion quite how convoluted the route was. Cooked breakfast(upgraded room to get this as long journey ahead) was cold, fresh toast provided but burnt on one side(everyone's not just mine). room was at front of hotel on the main road above crossing and only one window had secondary glazing so it was a bit noisy.
