This is a beautiful old Manor House that gives you a great taste of staying in a very old historical building. The room was extremely large, the bed was very comfortable and we were provided with foot stools to be able to get into it. The floors had a tilt on them - just like every old National Trust building we had visited while tripping around the UK. The host was lovely, full of info about his property, where to go in the surrounding area for something to eat and anything else we needed to know. If you're wanting a place to stay to experience an old English Manor, this is a great place to book. It's also only fairly close drive after visiting Bletchley Park.

✨ A Timeless Retreat in Harlington ✨ We had the absolute pleasure of staying two nights in a stunning 16th-century manor house in Harlington, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were swept up in the history and character of the place—original beams, cozy nooks, and a peaceful atmosphere that made it feel like stepping back in time (in the best way!). David, our host, was warm, welcoming, and full of fascinating stories about the house and the area. He made us feel right at home, and his attention to detail was impeccable. And the breakfast? Divine. Freshly prepared, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious—easily one of the highlights of our stay. If you're looking for a unique and tranquil escape with charm, comfort, and a touch of history, this manor house is a true gem. We left feeling rested, spoiled, and already dreaming of our next visit.

The property was truly unique, with a lot of character throughout the spacious rooms. The bed was fit for a king! Very comfortable. The bathroom was amazing, featuring a large bathtub and tasteful design. The gardens were beautiful, offering a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Convenient parking was available, making arrival and departure easy. Breakfast was served in a stunning dining room filled with antique furniture, paintings, and elegant silverware. David, our host, was exceptional — he personally cooked our breakfast, showed genuine interest in his guests, and engaged us in fascinating conversation, making us feel very welcome.
We truly enjoyed our stay.

What an amazing place - fascinating, and very comfortable. You won’t find a big screen TV, but I wasn’t after one. It was clean, comfortable and every where I looked, there was something interesting to look at. The instructions before arrival were incredibly detailed and straightforward so arrival was a breeze - and it’s just a few minutes from the motorway, and a short walk from the local station. I had a good night’s sleep in a very comfy bed, and a wash in a large and well equipped en suite. The owner, David, makes a mean breakfast (to order) and as I ate it, I also discovered that he’s a lovely and very interesting fellow who I really enjoyed chatting to. This was a great experience all round, and for considerably less money than a mainstream hotel might charge these days. Firmly recommended (I also recommended them to the folks at my destination that day, for future guests). Thanks David, if I’m in that part of the world again you’ll definitely my first choice!
Nothing to see here, it was all good!

This was not just an overnight stay for us but rather a fully immersive experience in very quirky accommodation that is steeped in history! We stayed in the Tabor room and it was like stepping back in time. The four poster bed was really comfortable and this, combined with good quality bedding, resulted in a blissful nights sleep. To note ~ the bed is very high and small footstools are provided to assist. A modern en-suite is decorated sympathetically in keeping with the property’s historical background ~ toiletries are provided. Plenty of local pubs, serving food, within easy reach. We ate at the Carpenters Arms (the nearest) and it had a really good vibe. Breakfast was a very relaxed affair ~ very tasty, well presented food served by the host, David. We were made to feel really welcome. All in all, a lovely stay.
There is nothing we didn’t like.

Breaking the scoring down into its various parts, you would not necessarily give the property top marks, but as an experience it was an exceptional place to stay. We stayed in the room overlooking the garden, which I believe was built in Tudor times, and looking up to the ceiling was amazing. The bed was very comfortable, and the cooked breakfast was very tasty…a b&b delight! David was a great host.
It’s a 14/15th century building so it creaks a little but that is part of its charm, and therefore would not like to criticise the Manor at all.

The property is charming and has got lots of character.
The shower was difficult to use and to get into and out of it. While showering the curtain tends to stick to the body which is not pleasant. The room needs at least one more armchair as there isn’t enough sitting furniture, and because the bed is very high one cannot sit on it. So, for two people to have a cup of tea and enjoy the view of the garden you need an extra sitting place. Also, the wallpaper is peeling from the ceiling and the wall in a couple of places.

We arrived late at night after a long day travelling and found the late check in facility easy to deal with even though it was a dark and foggy night but do remember to have a torch or mobile phone torch. The King Charles room was just as we expected having viewed the photographs. As advised on the website by David the owner do not expect shiny ultra modern fixtures and fittings, Tv etc as per a modern chain hotel. The Harlington Manor is a very old building but is superb for it's age. As outlined above we enjoyed our stay but the highlight really was the breakfast provided by David and his friendly chat. We particularly liked the dining room table decoration with all it's little antiques. The breakfast itself was made with quality products and perfectly excecuted with nothing too much trouble. Once again well done David and good luck with the Harlington Manor and we look forward to staying again. Geoff & Maureen Dunn

What a lovely historical home! Friends in the area recommended my staying there for a short trip from London to the Bedfordshire area to see friends. The Manor house is quite impressive and one could spend a great deal of time puttering about and viewing all the rooms. My room, the red Kings Room was on the top floor, with very nice views of parts of the Garden. Comfortable bed with a canopy, en suite bathroom, coffee maker and electric kettle. Prior to arriving or shortly thereafter, you can place your order for which type of breakfast you'd like to have in the mornings. I recommend the Full English... it was substantial. My host and owner was a wealth of information regarding the history of the establishmrnt. My conversations with him were insightful. The Gardens are pretty, but it was a bit too wet to sit outside, I opted for the bright and airy library to have a cup if tea, read and relax. Staying here was a treat, almost like being in a period movie. All that was missing were Mr. Carson. Mrs. Hughes Thomas and the Crawleys. 😉
That I had such a short stay in this amazing home.

Harlington Manor is even more historically impressive than the photos make it look like at first. This is a true character stay for every hobby historian, geek, or generally interested in architecture person. Not only is the house gorgeous but the owner has filled it with antiques and fascinating paintings. If you have any time at all, strike up a conversation with the owner over the homecooked breakfast he provides you with. He is as delightful and interesting as his manor!
When you arrive at night and the owner is out it's easy to get lost on the property so make sure you read the instructions closely before you try to figure out which door you need to get through. Warning for folks who are afraid of spiders, it's an old house, there are spiders and spider webs in the bathroom in the 600 year old windows.
