The location is a little away from the centre of Georgetown, which means it is less crowded and quieter but not a concern for me as getting a private hire is easy and you can easily walk around Georgetown. The rooftop swimming pool gives you an excellent seaview and is one of my favourite part of the hotel.

The breakfast spread could be better in terms of its variety. The internet was at times slow.

Immaculate condition in handy location. Reasonably priced accom and restaurant also reasonable. Free minibar is a great idea that more properties should adopt

Check out confusing. Could be a language issue but taxes are confusing. You never know if hotels here are adding extra charges

Location is central to almost all the tourist attractions in the UNESCO heritage zone, as well as most eatery markets. Quietly spoken, very friendly, and attentive staff who really went out of their way to make us feel at home. Breakfast was good, it was an interesting experience scrapping honey off a sheet of honeycombs, very novel method, and worked very well. The view from their rooftop infinity pool was quite good overlooking the waterfront. Would highly recommend.

Breakfast was good in general, however the pastry selection at breakfast was perhaps their weakest link, they were a bit stale. The hardest working appliance at breakfasts was probably the lone coffee making machine. Perhaps it would be worthwhile to consider to invest another one or two coffee machines to clear the backlog of coffee orders during breakfasts from guests. The gym was quite small, and it got a bit stuffy when there were two of us working out, it was simply too small with limited weights.

I don't know where to start. From the time we arrived we were welcomed with the Malaysian hospitality. The manager Giri and his staff are very attentive, obliging and very knowledgeable. The check in was flawless, and we were guided to our room by one of lovely staff members. The hotel is on the newer side and is maintained very well unlike some other hotels in Penang... Our loft room was on the top floor and the design of the room was different to normal hotels. Upon entering the room the Gold and glass trimmings were absolutely beautiful. This is a 2 storey room, the shower is absolutely gorgeous, the experience is next to nothing. There is a lounge, TV area also with a small window overlooking the side street. The stair case takes you to the loft where there is a super king comfortable bed for you to rest up in. Everything is spotless, smells fresh, whitest of linen and towels. Our room stay was very comfortable. The pool is on the top floor also with the gym. The pool is something to be seen. I spent most of my time there enjoying the salt water swims, relaxing and taking in the warm Malaysian sun not forgetting to mention the awesome view from the pool deck. Don't forget to experience the sunrise on the pool deck its amazing. The hotel is in a fabulous area within the Unesco Heritage listed precinct. Take a walk and discover little hip cafes, bakeries,..traditional kopitiams, and hundreds of other little eateries. We loved Little India which was a stones throw away where we could enjoy fresh cooked meals for a small price. Armenian Street, clan jetties and lots more in the area for you to discover. The hotel also has a number of restaurants and cafes for you to relax and cool off in. Enjoy and I would highly recommend this hotel above others in the area. The room was a little small. Next time will book a executive room with the bed on the same level. The temperature of the room was adjustable however it took a little fiddling to find a comfortable range. The pool should have attendants handing out cold water and customers should be able to order food and drinks at the poolside.

The staffs are friendly and polite. Good location within walking distance to Chew Jetty. There is a cafe just opposite the hotel that serves nice food and coffee. Nearby there is the Sri Weld Food Court which is good to go for breakfast. As we Grab to places we wanted to go, staying here is not a issue, in fact there is less traffic here. Room is clean and well maintained. Complimentary drinks are provided in the fridge for the rooms and replenished everyday. I like it that there is a Spa and Wellness centre in this hotel.

As we stayed over the weekends, late at night we could hear music beat (though not very loud but enough to disturb your sleep if you are a light sleeper) from nearby. We were told this only happens during the weekends, weekdays are actually very quiet. Which is true as we could have a good and quiet night sleep on Sunday night.

The Prestige Hotel Penang lives up to its name. It is a beautiful designed hotel with attentive and friendly staff. The hotel provides free parking and also the drinks in the room's minibar are complimentary. The swimming pool is small, but the setup on the roof terrace is beautiful and very enjoyable. Towels, sunbeams and umbrellas are provided and the view is spectacular. We returned to this hotel after our stay only 3 months ago, because we really enjoy it here.

The breakfast is rather average, therefore we booked this time our rooms without BF. It would be good if there was a rail at the swimming pool steps for people to hold onto.

Convenient location - a couple of convenience stores around, and a decent number of restaurants and cafes close by that one can easily walk to. Top level where the pool is, has a nice view in the evenings. Staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and amenities were clean. Pool is a nice addition along with the small gym. Finally, buffet breakfast of course ;) good range of food and drinks selection.

This is not a negative but we had a couple of electrical points and bed side lights that were faulty but this did not impact our experience throughout our stay.

The location of the hotel was amazing! You could easily walk to see a lot of the street art and museums as well. And the view from the pool was lovely! The colour scheme of the hotel was also really nice. The colour palette complimented the modern brass-looking details so well - it could have easily felt cold and detached but it didn’t.

There were a few issues with the toilet. The WC moved every time whenever we sat on it, which made you feel like it might break and fall with you. And the bidet/muslim shower as well as the tap in the shower wouldn’t stop running for a while after you actually let go or turned it off.

The hotel is well located in walking distance of the ferry to Butterworth, the UNESCO-listed fort and the old town, with many restaurants nearby. There is a pool with a view over the sea. The hotel is new, and very stylish. All the fittings and decor are of high quality. The staff were friendly, attentive and keen to make our stay enjoyable. They treated us like royalty. The breakfast was buffet style with other items available on request. A wide range of food preferences was catered for. We asked for a quiet room and were happy with the peace and quiet. Would love to return.

We had no problems with anything.

Location is fantastic- right in the middle of GeorgeTown and close to lots of fantastic restaurants. Hotel room was very clean and luxurious. It felt very relaxing. The pool was a great addition too in the heat of the summer.

The gym could be better equipped. Unfortunately I had a late flight at 10pm. I opted for a late check out which was only 1pm and it was a shame there are no changing room facilities to use the pool for the day and then freshen up for the later flight. There was only a bathroom and outdoor shower by the pool.
