Parking is small area, first come first gets it, staff great, breakfast for us great, for a big eater, not so, 4 star , sorry don’t think so, it all depends on what you want, it was clean, used, Neath is a lovely town, not a tourist spot, the hotel handy for Wetherspoons, train, shops.

Tidy up the area a bit, we looked out a flat roof top, bit scruffy, bath panel , replace, hand towels needed, breakfast, if someone doesn’t like an item, offer them two of an item they do like , ie, if they don’t like mushrooms, offer two eggs,or hash browns.

Spacious clean comfortable room, tastefully decorated. Lovely to have a table, desk and suitable chairs for both. Breakfast was basic but generous and delicious - thank you. Lovely decor throughout and fantastic location for train station and town centre. The hard working lady who was on reception when I arrived and looking after the breakfast room in the morning was polite and helpful - again, thank you.

Milk was missing from my tea tray - I'm sure that would have been rectified if I had let staff know, but I was too tired :-) Other than that, nothing I didn't like.

The hotel was very clean and tidy and the staff were very polite, pleasant and helpful. We came by train and travelled around in the area by bus. The hotel was very near the railway station and local buses and this was very important to us. We liked the Indian restaurant in the hotel and ate there on Saturday evening. Our twin room was spacious and well equipped with an iron and ironing board, television, tea making equpment etc. We enjoyed the full English breakfast.

It was a bit noisy outside on Friday and Saturday evenings, but this was not a big problem. The outside of the hotel looked past its best, but the decor inside was very good indeed.

It was lovely, plenty of room and rooms were very nice much better than expected for the price. They were really helpful at breakfast when I was in a rush. Was pleasantly surprised.

It was all very dimly lit. The rooms even with all the lights on were dim and then when I went for breakfast that was the same. I do like to see the food I’m eating. Yellow Bulbs everywhere I think is what does it. Maybe others like it. Everything else was fantastic.

One of the best furnished hotel rooms I've ever stayed in, beautiful clean rooms, comfy bed and nice spaceous bathroom. Unique decorated Curtains and carpets really made the place feel premium. Honestly one of the nicest hotel rooms I've ever seen. Free breakfast included in my stay was a nice bonus and nice selection of coffee. Restaurant was excellent, felt 5 star with great selection of value food and drinks. Worth visiting.

Parking was free but very limited and at the side of the building like an after thought. Didn't feel comfortable leaving car their. Restaurant times were also limited due to cost savings so plane accordingly. Breakfast was nice but a little small portioned.

Couldn’t have asked for more! We stayed at the Bluebell for 5 nights at the end of August. Loved the warm welcome. Enjoyed our rather spacious room with an en-suite bath AND shower! Lovely to have both. Every one of the staff were kind and helpful. What a way to be introduced to our first visit to South Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. The restaurant attached to the hotel was super serving authentic Indian food. And it was all delicious - with great service. The breakfasts in the hotel were substantial and very tasty. If we’re in South Wales in the future (and it’s a pound to a penny we WILL be!) undoubtedly we’ll stay in Neath at the very fine Bluebell Hotel for sure ✔️ Nothing could be finer! We were delighted. What a grand staycation. 5 great big stars. Thank you 🙏 to all the staff. You were brilliant 🤩

It was all marvellous.

The staff was nice and polite. They were also helpfull and got me everything i needed. I liked the Tv I liked the light and the fact i could switch from bright white light to dim redish light. I liked the size of the bed I.liked that the light switches were close to the bed. I liked there was a kettle, milk, sugar, sugar coffee and tea. I liked there was a table in the room I liked that a cleaner cleaned the room daily. I.liked the towels in the bathroom changed on a regular basis I liked that everything works well including the the shower. High speed water jeting out of rhe shower head. I liked rhe window which brought in good light during the day for me. I like the certains they blocked out light from outside as i slept.

Other residents were slamming doors and i could hear the noise in my room. The table was small could not accomodate my tray of my food and my laptop. The table was attached to the wall near the TV. I could not eat and watch the TV at the same time.

The breakfast was disappointing especially the continental very little choice such as toast and cereal cornflakes or weetabix and only full fat milk no fruit yogurt or pastries or jam marmalade ect. Full breakfast is a sausage a bacon rasher a hash brown,egg mushroom and a large portion of beans .

Travelling to Neath for a family funeral the Bluebell was ideally situated for our needs. The friendly staff were able to answer our questions with regard to the location and guide us to places open in the area for a meal. We were informed before hand of the potential noise that may ensue do to location. A great heads up!

The loose tiles in the bathroom ! Made getting into the shower precarious ! A real dip when walked on. The minimal breakfast choices! For £95 per night a better selection of breads (only 5 thin white slices available for 4 guests) what about a croissants or pain au chocolate perhaps a muffin, crumpet or bagel!, no cold meat selection, no fruits or nuts, no pastries, boiled eggs. I think there needs to be a few more items offered on the main table apart from the selection of boxed cereal!

Doesn't look too flash from the outside but has had a complete makeover internally and looks very modern and individual. The attached Indian restaurant was great Friendly service - the staff were trying hard

Maintenance on the room left a bit to be desired... 1. The AC didn't work, and on checking with the receptionist she acknowledged that but said this was mentioned on their website. It maybe, but we booked through booking.com and never viewed the hotel site. We did however get provided with a portable fan. 2. The hotel's right in the middle of town, so on a warm night with the window open to try and keep cool it was noisy with passing revellers for hours. 3. The bathroom sink plug was stuck, so it didn't drain 4. The shower drain was almost completely blocked 5. The joins and panelling at the base of the shower had big gaps and needed a bit of TLC The breakfast buffet was OK, but a bit underwhelming
