The hotel is clean and in the city center

The hotel is clean and in the city center, but they mislead customers about the price, it turns out that at the reception they insist on paying some kind of security deposit, if I knew that they would want me to pay more money, I would have chosen another hotel, because it turns out that the hotel says one price for the rooms and at the reception they want another £100 for a security deposit and I did not receive an explanation why after I paid for the room they want a £100 security deposit, what does a security deposit mean I did not receive an explanation

Perfect location, clean rooms and friendly staff

I didn’t like the fact that I had to pay £100 deposit on an £87 room. £100 is a lot of money and was told if I pay it by card it would get refunded back to me within 7 days which is ridiculous. Not everyone has a spare £100, so I then had to go to a cashpoint to get the cash out as soon as I arrived. I’ve stayed here many times over the last 20 years and I’ve never had a problem. I would suggest maybe just charging 1p on a card so that if there is any damage to a room you then have card details to charge the customer. I most probably won’t be returning unless this stupid policy changes

I’ve been coming to this hotel for about 2 1/2 years to visit friends in Swansea every other month or so and I like the location it’s right in the High Street so I can reach the market and the shops very easily and I can find the hotel from the station it’s within walking distance of all the places I need to get too.

I don’t like being placed in the room where the taxis are outside and you can hear the constant beware of the boulders. It’s a real noise and it’s a shame because the room is very tidy and clean and if it wasn’t for the noise I would score it higher

The location was great as we were attending an event at the arena, it was a 5 min walk. The carpark near Tesco was excellent too as it was a couple of mins walk and we stayed Friday to Sunday it was £9 to stay! The room itself was spacious, clean. We had hot drink facilities and house keeping came on our second day (2 night stay). Staff were friendly, hotel is in a great location for shops, arena and beach.

Just a few little things like stains on carpet, unable to open windows and it was extremely hot in the room. However, the staff were great we were given 2 fans and jugs of ice to help try and cool the room down. This didn’t spoil our stay, stains happen maybe need to invest in some aircon for the rooms that can’t have the windows open.

This place has cafe on ground floor, discount for residents, open till late. This whole building connected over The Indoor Market, shops, Shopping Mall, so convenient. Especially only few minutes walk to Swansea Arena for Welsh giants Manic Street Preaches rock concerts I was going. My room is small with singke bed, desk with tea facilit, separate full bath room, large TV on adjustable arm. Comfortable enough to crash after great gigs! Great location, Oxford Street shops, walking distance from station, Castle Square and all. Staff were friendly and kindly kept my little suitcase and gave me access in between.

The hotel at my check in, asked to pay a security deposit of £100. I didn't know such requirement and felt bit offended. It's for every customer probably but it's bit too large the amount even on my credit card. Tge receptionist said it will ge back in few days once we checked out without issue. I'm a British citizen so asking for my nationality may be an issue, but I'm a lady and won't trush or steal from hotel. I haven't checked tge refund yet. But I've travelled lots of UK and Japan and elsewhere, so never expected such. Brown decor was dull. Little noisy on weekend when buskers and real manic street preachers in nearby St Mary singing hallelujah early in the morning woke me up. The cafe's egg and toast was ... lack in Welsh butter. But is friendly and good convenient location.

Great location Very reasonable price for the location and family room Coffee was nice Staff were really friendly. Cleaner even spotted a toy one of our kids hid under a pillow and ran down to reunite it with him before we left which was above amd beyond

Although clean all a little bit dated. Bit of a stuffy smell in the corridors like it needs airing out and new carpets. Would defo still recommend as value for money though. Minor point. But plug location awful in room. Bedside lamps hardwired phones charged across the room not a big deal

The manager was really nice and helpful, it was quiet and the beds where Very comfy like sleeping on a cloud.

Was charged £72 for a twin £55 room but only because Rearranged dates even on the date we where staying and the manager still let us change but was then charged £72 instead also you have to pay a £100 fee before your allowed the key to your room and was absolutely puzzled with that as wasn't advertised whatsoever. No WiFi on TV, few Uht milks, 2 tea bags, broken sink which manager even said was no problem so had to brush our teeth over the bath. Rough crowds outside when going.to smoke. Don't think we will be returning soon.

My first impression was that I thought it looked dated, and it was, but the rooms were clean the staff were easy going and very helpful 😀 the location was excellent and the staff told us about the multi storey carpark a few minutes away £5.00 for 24 hours, fantastic price great staff providing the information, John should advertise this on the dolphin website, we went for our daughters graduation and there was a gold path almost outside the hotel that went straight over the new bridge and into the graduation hall fantastic and the price of drinks in the pubs was very cheap win win all around

It was a bit dated
