Hooper’s Sandy beach was a comfortable stay in a beachfront property (unfortunately we had rain but I blame nature for that). The room was very clean and had an ocean view. Overall, my stay was nice and would recommend this stay!

Depending on what your planned activities are, this location is fairly far from the city center and, as others have mentioned, is on a very busy road. The common areas appeared to be in a “work-in-progress” state of repair but my room itself was great. I’ll apologize ahead of time if I did something dumb (and didn’t use it properly), but the shower seemed to be an either boiling hot or freezing cold experience without an in between.

Just before arriving Flixbus changed our bus stop from a 12 min walk to a 48 min walk away from the accommodation, as check in was at 3 and the bus at 3:20 I worried that we wouldn’t be able to make it but Paul was accommodating. When we arrived we didn’t really have chance to look at the accommodation but the next morning we were so impressed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the shower had great pressure and the temperature in the room was great. The view out the windows were fabulous and I somehow missed that it was accommodating for vegans when booking so my amazement at waking up and going to make a cuppa (and expecting to have it black) but having oatly sachets and vegan biscuits was just perfect. They have a cafe downstairs which looked amazing with a great menu, I got a slice of cake to take away (biscoff) which was really good. If we’re ever back in Swansea I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great location, room was spacious and clean, had a lovely view of the beach and the bed was very comfortable.

The toilet didn’t flush properly, had to leave it for a long time before trying again and it eventually flushed. Shower was cold initially until we realised the dials on the shower were backwards so in order for it to be hot we had to switch it to cold. There was also a mat in the shower which made us questioned how this is clean before new guests arrive. The stairway leading to the bedroom smelt like mould, there was also lots of shoes outside one of the rooms, making us believe someone might be living there.

Lovely room and a wonderful view of the beach. Great value for money! The bed was so comfy and it was great having vegan milk and biscuits in the room! The communal kitchen was also very handy.

The shower required some finesse, great once we got the temperature right but can take some time. Also, the hoopers cafe itself isn’t open that often so you won’t be able to have all your meals/breakfast there etc. There’s plenty of wonderful vegan and vegan-friendly breakfast places nearby but just something to be aware of!

Excellent clean room, comfy bed, clean towels, heating good, tea making cups etc. Fridge, microwave, freezer in other room for use if needed. Lovely view of beach. Paul very welcoming and helpful.

The only thing I noticed was smell in hallway/stairs, perhaps due to not being aired enough, did not extend to room. minor problem.

Lovely location, with a fabulous view from the window (included in the photos), and very comfortable and clean room with everything you needed. Use of the kitchen was a great bonus!

Parking was tricky, but not impossible and the road outside is busy until late. Not an issue in October but possibly noisy with windows open in summer. Can’t be helped though and the stunning view more than made up for it!

Not much. We only needed a place to lay our heads after a show at the arena. I suppose the only disadvantage was it was slightly noisy as was close to a main road. But this wasn’t a significant issue

A good location to travel to the university. Our window is facing the sea. A great view in the morning. The owner is super friendly. On street parking is available. Search “ beach street “ Will help someone to find a parking space. There is a vegan/vegetarian cafe downstairs.

Location was right on the sea front, road was constantly busy but was close to town and all relevant locations I needed. The room was clean, comfortable and had tea and coffee for the morning. Bed was comfortable and I loved the overhead fan.

My stay was lovely. Location was convenient- 15 mins walk to the city centre and 20 mins in the opposite direction to singleton university campus. View of the beach everyday was refreshing. Paul makes lovely meals in the bistro downstairs too!
