We were allocated a twin room at the end of the corridor on the first floor (Room 39). It was quite a walk to the lift but a short walk to the fire door (which we did not need to use) There are lots of free parking and the twin bedded room was spacious and comfortable. The room had air conditioning, which we did not need to use, and you can open the windows for fresh air The buffet cooked Full English breakfast, in the morning from 7am, was plentiful and very tasty. The twin room at £68 for 2 people was good value for a 1 night stay.

The hotel is looking a bit tired these days, the automatic sliding doors at the front of the hotel do not fully open on occasions. The lift is very slow. We did not like the shower above the bath. The very high step into and out of the bath, to use the shower, felt a little unsafe particularly when the shower curtain kept sticking to you. We would have preferred a fixed walk in shower rather than bath/shower.

.we always enjoy our stay here. Food is delicious and room is always clean and live the bed! Very comfortable.

My wife asked the reception team for an extra pillow as I have a health condition where I need to sit up in my sleep but they said they couldn't provide an extra pillow or they would see but nothing. I usually take my special pillow when I stay at places but unfortunately I forgot it for my stay that night. Reception team were also quite loud and childish running around boasting about their new name tags and singing quite loud. However we were upgraded free of charge which was a nice surprise and we're grateful for!

The Blanco's Hotel is well located for my business needs. Free on site parking. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was as usual good, with free wi-fi. It was also air conditioned, which was much appreciated on the first day/night due to very ot weather. The food in the evening was good and breakfast also from 07.00am. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend the hotel.

The buffet breakfast has scrambled eggs; I prefer fried, but no problem. In addition the wi-fi was difficult to access sometimes. I believe this was due to the fact that I had automatically connect set on. When i switched this off and attempted to log on again, it worked and sent me to the Blanco's Hotel webpage. From there, no problem.

I was quite surprised to see that Blancos was only classed as a 3 star Hotel given the facilities and decor, room was immaculate and well furnished. The hotel itself is stunning inside and I featured it on my TikTok. Very enjoyable stay with staff friendly, well presented, approachable and very professional. Prices were brilliant given it is a hotel and I travel all over the country. The comfort of the bed was amazing. Air con was especially appreciated. Flowers out the front was very very lovely. Beautiful place and I extended my stay there very easily. Regular entertainment and it was lovely to see that it is a very useful commodity for the elderly to meet up. I fell in love with Blancos and have no qualms about re-booking. Bar was very well presented and stocked and it’s by far the cleanest bar I have seen. No wet marks to ruin your sleeves so well done and bar staff knew how to pour a drink (over ice!). As a BIIAB licence holder the bar staff were excellent. Parking facilities is plentyful and close by. The decor inside Blancos is beautiful and my compliments to who ever controls it. I am shocked because I have stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels that do not look as good as Blancos and for the price of the stay which was very cheap. Drinks were well priced given the fact it is a hotel. My room was immaculate and if a small fridge was put in it could easily pass as a 4 star hotel.

Kitchen and restaurant closing very early pushed me into having to eat elsewhere when I really did want to try their evening meals which is a shame and is a loss to a very valued commodity. Reception should really be manned 24 hours a day, going in through a side door after a set time was confusing. Staff need to be more on the ball at breakfast as I was on a tight schedule and there was nothing left at 09.30 when breakfast closes at 10am. What would also benefit Blancos would be a member of staff welcoming people into breakfast to simply show where everything is. A couple of benches out the front would be beneficial instead of sitting on a plant pot edge. Lift is slow but it works.

Lovely feel when you enter hotel, all open clean and modern. The room was really lovely; room and bathroom impeccably clean and well maintained. As the weather was so hot it was nice to walk into a cool room with the air conditioning on. Massive bed and it was so comfy with lovely soft pillows, probably the best nights sleep I've had in a hotel. There was a Country music event on at the hotel but our room was lovely and quiet all night. Breakfast was fabulous! lots of choice, fresh and temperature of food was all perfect.

If anything I thought the breakfast staff needed to smile they seemed a bit surly but they were efficient.

We had a late check-in and hotel was extremely busy when we got there but seen straight away. Most importantly, they provided hot chocolate in the rooms. This was a bonus for me as I don't drink tea or coffee! :-) Also, there was a wedding on 1st floor and other event on ground floor so very noisy. However, we couldn't hear anything once we got to our rooms.

As we arrived after 10pm, we did want a snack and hot chocolate but were told it stops after 10pm. Thankfully when we got to our rooms we found there were biscuits and hot chocolate in the rooms, which helped a little.

My recent stay at Blanco's was excellent. The first thing that struck me was the really nice reception area, which flows smoothly into the restaurant. My room was remarkably big and spacious, and the bed was huge and incredibly comfortable. Everything, from the room to the very spacious bathroom, was immaculately clean and had a fresh scent. The air conditioning in the room was a definite plus, especially with the warm weather. Don't miss the restaurant – the prices were surprisingly good for the delicious food they offered. I'd happily stay here again!

Really clean. Fab breakfast. Evening meal had great choice and was reasonably priced. Power shower. Very comfy bed and bedding. Tea coffee and biscuit selection lovely. Staff approachable and very keen to help. Great wardrobe space.

Overall I really enjoyed my stay. Some bits that perhaps other would complain about, i.e some frayed towels and poss a macerator, but absolutely minor. Little off putting that the ?owner lives there and is not so friendly with the staff! I really wouldn't hesitate staying again though.

Everything very nice

Breakfast could have some improvements like flat fried egg instead of just one choice of scrambled and there was no sauces but maybe other people took them to tables. But this is just me being picky looking at ways to improve. The actual hotel and comfort was very nice and I'd highly recommend it. Bed was super comfy and cleaners do thier jobs properly and staff were friendly. Value for money and nice location. They should advertise around the front of property more. The outside doesn't do this place justice.

Had an a meal from the day menu ( pork loin) It was superb, Breakfast was very good. The room clean and comfortable with a good hospitality tray. Good selection of drinks from the bar.

The room No39 was bitter cold when we first entered at about 15:30. So cold we could not stay in the room. We returned to the room at about 22:15 and it was still freezing cold. It remained cold all night and we were glad to get out of there next morning. The breakfast buffet was very good but to only have scrambled egg available and not fried or poached was a great let down. As was no porridge. We returned to the hotel at 21:30, the bar was still open but the hot drinks machine was already switched off. The freezing room and lack of porridge also no hot drinks available so early in the evening on these winter mornings and evenings was not a good advert for Blancos
