Lovely staff, the lady and her granddaughter doing breakfast was very friendly and the food was great. Rooms are plain and fairly small but beds were comfortable. Was travelling with elderly people who shared a twin room - they found the bathroom a bit small too but managed ok.

The b&b is quite adequate and the staff do a lot to welcome guests. Bridgend is pretty industrial, so doesn’t have a lot to offer (we were there on a bank holiday so most things were closed), a few bars bur limited eating options.

Everything, we travelled from Stoke on Trent for my Mums funeral. Huw the proprietor was very accomodating and allowed us to check in much earlier than expected. Room was small and cosy, we had the ensuite which was perfect. Loved the 'feel' felt very welcome. We opted for a full breakfast next morning, it was exceptional. My partner hasnt stopped raving about the bacon and sausage 😋. Would definitely stay again, highly recommended.

Everyone was so friendly! We had such a lovely stay. Location was great for what we wanted and a short walk into more central of the town. The room was really nice and clean, beds and the bedding was so comfortable! It was great that there was a sink and mirror in the bedroom as we were sharing the bathroom. I would highly recommend staying here!

For what we paid, the room was appropriate. I have nothing to say as to what we didn't like - everything was so nice!

As a lone traveller I don’t need too much - the room was clean and although I only saw the owner on one day, the flexibility works. Nice shower in the room - easy to use.

If I was picky - I would say the mattress on the bed wasn’t the best (but I rarely sleep anyway when I’m away) - plus the door into the toilet & shower room doesn’t quite work as only opens half way!

The property was in a great location walking distance into the town and a safe car park at the back of the property. Huw was a fabulous host. He cooked a lovely breakfast with pork and leek sausages. There was Local yogurt - toast marmalade -cereals. The beds were really comfy not too soft and all very clean. Perfect for our one night stay.

Very clean. Nicely furnished. Breakfast perfect. Host engaged well and explained what's in the area to visit and where to eat. Would recommend and also stay there again.

A little noise from the local pub and traffic is a little heavy for me. However, I live in a rural community, so I'm not used to noise! The area is not scenic, in anyway.

Absolutely lovely. Really happy with the accommodation. The owner was super helpful and friendly. I would thoroughly recommend. Would definitely use again.. if concerting in Cardiff.

Tiny tiny issue.. no teaspoon in the room, just the thin wooden stirrers. Difficult to drain the teabags without burning your fingers! But as I say..tiny tiny issue.

Good location, smooth easy check in process, clean and comfortable rooms. Huw was a fantastic host, very friendly and helpful and served up a delicious breakfast. Would definitely stay again if I was in the area.

The only issue for me was the headboard in my room was very wobbly so banged against the wall every time I moved in bed which was a little annoying.

Mairs bed and breakfast was a 10/10 stay, huw was incredibly friendly and welcoming and filled with interesting facts about the local area. He made us feel very at home and very comfortable. I couldn’t reccommend Mairs enough. Excellent value for money for the high quality accommodation 👌🏼

Absolutely nothing

The staff was very friendly, the breakfast good. When we needed to remain on the premises after check out that was no problem. Felt like coming home. At walking distance from the railway station and shops. This room at the back of the building was quiet.

Although the room was clean and cosy, it felt small, like the bathroom.
