The atmosphere inside was sooo cosy, and everything was set up with the comfort and convenience of guests in mind. We had our fairly large dog with us and were mostly just wanting to walk around the countryside with her, and our host Lana was very knowledgeable about the local area and pubs. The breakfasts she cooked were lovely too! It was a perfect cosy stay for a couple.
There wasn't an enclosed garden (this wasn't a surprise though - it's stated on the web page), so if you wanted to safely let your dog off lead you had to walk a few minutes down the road. It wasn't a problem for us though

Everything, Lana is the perfect host and makes you feel welcome the minute you arrive. The food is good old fashioned hearty plates of delight. The room was comfortable, clean and the views from the windows very pleasant to wake up to. My dog was given an equally pleasant welcome and spoilt with her own sausages for breakfast! The added bonus of a dedicated lounge with a huge open fire place to greet you was just what the Dr ordered! Plenty of tv channels (if that’s your thing) along with a good variety of books, board games and other related things to keep you entertained. The underfloor heating in the en-suite bathroom was a very welcomed addition:). So….. if your reading this and deliberating weather or not to stay, lol no further! you will not be disappointed and I’m a pretty fussy person lol. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Nothing except a village pub but what I understood from the host it is set to reopen later this year - the nearest town was a mere mile or so away and had plenty of choice so wasn’t an issue to be fair. :)

Eastview B and B is truly a home-from-home! Situated in a small village/hamlet surrounded by moors with a bubbly river running through there are lots of places to walk and explore. Our room was warm and comfortable and the hosts provided an excellent breakfast with plenty of choice - cooked and continental. They offered e.g. picnics/precooked evening meals on request which is useful to know when staying 3-4 miles from a town.

The village location is quiet, but a lovely (short) drive to the town of Alston for facilities and eating places, easy to get back onto the main A Roads The house is beautiful, up to date amenities but so much character. The family room is at the back of the house, lovely views and privacy. The lounge is comfortable and a 'bonus' to be able to relax in. The breakfast really was GREAT! Lovely fresh fruit provided, with a selection of cereals and then copious amounts of toast, tea, coffee, orange juice and a beautifully cooked Full breakfast
Nothing I can think of

Lana the host is a friendly, welcoming and helpful. She has really good local knowledge. Breakfast was really excellent. I was visiting for work so did not have enough time to appreciate the area but the village is scenic and in a lovely location.
Nothing to complain about in terms of the accommodation, the weather made the roads a bit challenging but that is part of the charm of the area - just come prepared and you will be fine.

This B&B is located in the lovely village of Garrigill. We arrived mid afternoon having walked there on the Pennine Way over Cross Fell. Our host left a welcome note and we had access to our room straight away. We ate a delicious dinner provided at the B&B and were invited to relax in their spacious lounge. There was a wide choice of cooked food for breakfast as well as fresh fruit salad and cereals etc. Very friendly and thoughtful host. There was everything we could need including fresh milk in a fridge in the room.

Lana and Phil are great hosts. They attend to your every need and are very friendly. It's the third time we've stopped over on a C2C and the pub in Garrigill is closed, so they provide a lovely dinner as well as an excellent breakfast. Garage storage for the bikes too!
There's nothing not to like

Fantastic drive to this lovely B & B! There's not much in this village (that's why we booked) so if you want shops, pubs etc. on your doorstep then it may not be for you however there is another village a few miles away with a pub, spar shop , cash machine (we didn't visit so could be more there) but the host offer home cooked meals for you to reheat at your convenience which we did and enjoyed. The cooked breakfast was great too! The hosts were very welcoming and attentive.

An excellent breakfast. Good choice of cereals and fruit. With a large full English cooked breakfast which was very tasty and delicious. The room had an ensuite. The bedroom was comfortable and was clean and well presented with tea, coffee and hot chocolate. There was also a fridge in the room which had fresh milk in and a microwave guests can use downstairs.

East View is a lovely little cottage in a lovely quiet village. Lana and Phil are fantastic hosts who really have thought of everything. They made us a scrumptious evening meal and the breakfast was really good too. Garage for our bikes and heated clothes rack for our wet gear. Very homely and relaxing. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend; perfect for C2C stop or Pennine Way walkers. Thanks so much Lana and Phil
