The property was spacious and had a very good shower. Convenient for the CO-OP across the road. A parking permit was provided for 3 hours of parking on the road outside during the day at peak times although a different location nearby was suggested for all day free parking. The property was warm with good storage space in the bedroom and the bed was comfortable although the pillows were very high and hard.

Apart from a few tea, coffee, sugar and 3 tiny milk sachets there was no welcome pack. The apartment was not 100m from the pub but at least 300m. The road immediately outside was quite busy and noisy at times. The lounge window faced the pavement and there was little privacy unless the blinds were closed.

Fantastic Modern 2 Bed Apartment in the centre of the lovely village of Appleby. We were able to park FOC right outside the door in the centre of the village which had lots of local shops. We had a couple of drinks at the Crown and Cushion and then had breakfast there the following morning. We didn't have too much time to explore the village as we were at a wedding at Holefoot but we all agreed that Cushion Bank was a fantastic place to stay and we look forward to a repeat visit.

We stayed in the Crown Cottage which belongs to the Inn. A recently updated cottage just a few minutes walk from the pub. The cottage was excellent in all respects and really made our stay in Appleby. The cottage is well presented, spotlessly clean with all your home comforts. A real home from home. We ate our meals in the Crown and Cushion, which has a good menu. Staff were brilliant and attentive, even though it was really busy. We can certainly recommend the property to you. You will not be disappointed.

The value for a family of five in the two bedroom suite was amazing. The staff were super lovely and attentive making our stay so pleasant and we felt so welcomed. The quality of the furnishings, bedding and bathroom were superb and the village is beautiful. We were just passing through and have vowed that we will return and stay here for a few nights. Breakfast was freshly cooked and even the coffee was good. Seriously, book this place and you won’t regret it.

Headboard fixings were loose on wall so headboard would fall down but that is our only issue and therefore there was nothing we did not like about this inn.

Extremely friendly and warm welcome. Our room was in the loft, which was a wonderful space, with a huge bathroom and a small kitchen and dining area for our use. There was so much room for storage which we didn’t take advantage of as we were only staying one night. We joined the locals in the bar for a drink and they were also welcoming. Lovely pub in the picturesque Appleby in Westmorland. We arrived later in the evening, it was a stopover on our way to Scotland. We parked directly outside using a disc given to us by the pub, because we left before 10.00am the next day, parking was free. Breakfast was delicious, particularly the local butchers sausage ring. This was a fabulous find, so much so , we are going to make a special trip back to explore Appleby and The Eden Valley.

Everything was fantastic! It was an incredible way to end our trip coming back from Edinburgh. We stayed in the two bedroom suite which was at the top of the property. It had everything we were looking for - big comfortable beds, a clean bathroom and a dining area with a couch. We were fortunate enough to find a parking spot directly outside of the property and when we checked in after 6:30pm, we were given parking discs which allowed us to park for free for two hours from 8:00am-10:00am. We read the reviews and made reservations for dinner at 7:30pm. The food came out rather quickly and everyone was stunned by how good everything was. With a group of 5 people, we tried the soup of the day, fish and chips, steak and ale pie, chicken tikka kebab, and a chicken and veg balti. The quality and quantity of food was superb. Each of us raved about how good our food was. In the past two and a half years of living in England, this was the best dining experience we have had. Absolutely superb service. Breakfast was included and it was also great. Our son has a gluten and sunflower allergy and the kitchen was extremely accommodating, cooking his food after cleaning to avoid cross contamination. To top it off, the property is located at a very charming and walkable town with a castle just a nine minute walk away. Overall we would highly recommend anyone to stay at this location. Excellent customer service by all the staff!

There was a lack of hot water after two other guests showered around 11pm. The shower was lukewarm but at least it was not freezing. No other issues.

An end of terrace cottage conveniently located for the town's attractions - close to pubs, restaurants and shops. If you like Indian food go to 7Eventy1 in Bridge Street. Hosts very helpful when we had TV problems.

I was a little unclear where we were staying in terms of location - perhaps needs to be clearer you are not adjacent to the pub and set out the exact address of the cottage. I am not saying we did not like this aspect but bear in mind you can park on the street at no charge but only for a set number of hours so you will need to move your car about - there is a car park just up the road which is not that costly.

We stayed for 2 nights and we were shown to a lovely large bedroom. The bathroom had a large walk in shower. Ideal. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast both mornings and one evening all food was very good and hot. No parking but small car park about 250 meters. £4 for day 8am to 6pm free after 6pm. Just remember to get there before 8am to pay n display. We would highly recommend staying here. Please do read the info book in room as someone really does have a fantastic sense of humour. So funny.

Lovely old public house right in the centre of Appleby in Westmorland. We made a last minute booking to break a long journey from Scotland to the East of England We were delighted with our choice the manager on reception gave us a warm reception and showed us to our room. It was clean spacious and very comfortable. We booked dinner soon after our arrival and found the menu to consist of delightfully traditional pub grub The portions were exceptional and the food was piping hot and delicious. We chose the steak and ale pie and the ham egg and chips both dishes were huge and delicious. The pub was warm and cosy and the beer was excellent

The property was situated in right in the heart of the town and was very easy to get too. The rooms were very clean although there was a few cosmetic issues such as wallpaper lifting and the carpet been slightly frayed where I think there was a possible runner at some point this could do with being replaced Shower/ bathroom- was accumulate not sign of mold the cleaners do an amazing job. Rooms- very nicely furnished there was a few personal touches added with made it feel very cosy bed although on the smaller size where extremely comfortable. Bar / dining area - we had a few drinks in the bar during Wednesday evening pricing was great and not overly expensive the bar had a friendly atmosphere and was very welcoming Breakfast - we decided to dine within the hotel for breakfast in the morning the gentleman who dealt with us was very attentive and made sure we had everything we could have needed. The information book within the room needs updated as confusing it states that no food and drink is to be consumed within the room however they offer plates, utensils and glassware and also comes with kettle and mini fridge to guest this is confusing. Overall our stay was lovely and we would definitely come back.
