Almost everything. I know you all probably have read if not, almost all of the reviews but if i can say one thing, you all should behave and understand your actions in the hotel. If you make your room a mess, untidy as in bring in your dirty shoes, unclean garments resulting from your trips, they will indeed charge you for it. There are only few of them managing the hotel and everything is from organic sources so imagine their frustration when you all damage/spill the room with your dirty stuffs. So please try to behave and act civil and you'll be good.

The distance from Sapa town. You're gonna have to use e-hailing apps like Grab or taxis but it should not be a problem as they are always available and cheap. Just have to wait for a while but overall experience, this hotel is to die for. Spectacular view, delicious foods and kind staffs.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and outstanding hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, even surprising us with a complimentary upgrade to the suite, which was a delightful treat! The room was luxurious, spacious, and offered breathtaking views that made our experience even more special. The atmosphere of the hotel was so inviting, and every detail was thoughtfully curated to provide the utmost comfort. What truly made our stay remarkable was the kindness and friendliness of the staff. They made us feel right at home, always eager to assist with any request, and truly made us feel valued as guests. Their restaurant serves exquisite cuisine like from a 5⭐️hotel. We can’t recommend this enough and will definitely be returning. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Beautiful design, decor, and grounds - nestled in impressive gardens. Loved our bamboo hut (suite). Very pleasant and accommodating staff. Casual family guest house atmosphere with high quality hotel services.

Did not like their rigid practices related to relatively little costs in context of all that we were spending with them on accommodation, meals, and services: eg - being charged for each small cup of coffee - no refill with breakfast or dinner; - being refused happy hour pricing after check out time despite two of us spending that entire 3rd day (after 2 night stay) using their expensive spa, restaurant, & transportation services and our bill remaining open until our evening departure after dinner! - being charged for an accidentally broken soap dispenser after 3 full days of giving them business.

The reception / dining area is beautiful and calm. There are lots of plants, a small pool and the sound of water and gentle music. And that set the scene for the rest of the stay. Our bungalow was very pretty with chairs and beanbags so that we could sit on the balcony, drink green tea and admire the views. We loved the wooden semi-outdoor bath with blossom trees alongside. The food in the restaurant was beautiful and tasty, made using the home grown vegetables that you can see growing in the garden. It’s a beautiful place to relax after your trek. All of the staff are friendly and very helpful. They provided an early breakfast for us because we had a very early pick up time which we are very grateful for.

The breakfast has lots of variety considering that it is in the valley. The views are to die for, however, it was so misty that it is only on our last day there that we can see the view like 80%. The staff are very on the ball, they even come to our room to check on us if we are heading down for breakfast. We stayed for 2 nights at this resort. We had breakfasts and 2 dinners at the resort. It is definitely calm and quiet here. We would have enjoyed the place better with better weather....

I am a city girl, so I am not use to having to wait to heat up the room, limited towels.

We stayed in the bungalows and loved the unique room decor, spacious layout, and comfortable beds with mattress warmers and air conditioning. The views were also fantastic. One thing to note is that the bathtub and sink are in a separate open-air space at the back of the room, with no walls. While this might be lovely in summer, it felt quite cold at night when passing through to the bathroom and shower. Overall, a beautiful stay with great comfort.

The food was generally good, but the steak I ordered was disappointing—it was full of connective tissue and nearly inedible. Perhaps the cut of meat differs from what we’re used to in Europe.

This has been by far the best experience in Vietnam so far. Clay House has exceeded all expectations. The position is perfect, right on the trail paths. Everything at the object is amazing, and the best part is their food. Don't worry about searching for restaurants - their kitchen is amazing and it serves both lunch and dinner.

Just one small issue - for dinner they recommended the sturgeon fish which I chose. It's an off-menu item, and they failed to mention that the price was double of anything else on the menu. But all the food was so amazing (including this one) that I really don't mind.

I have to write in superlatives. This property is something quite special. You are greeted with amazing views of the mountains and valleys. The grounds and facilities are a peaceful oasis out of the business of Sapa as it is a 2.6k from the centre. My room was spacious, comfortable, well appointed and peaceful. The staff were attentive and organised everything I needed while there, including a guide for a mountain trek. It is special as it is boutique, what adds to its uniqueness is its care for the environment and the lands of its community. This was evidenced when I was treated to an evening meal sourced entirely from the property and community, that could have been at home in the finest restaurants.

I stayed 14 Days here for my Sapa Vacation. It is a really nice Place to enjoy and chill with a great View to the Mountains (if it is not rainy and foggy). The Way to City-Center is 45min walking or 10min with a Motorbike away. Thats why it is a quiet Place far the noise from Sapa. The Guys are very friendly like a Family and are everytime helpful if I needed Support or Informations about my daily Hiking/Motorbike Tours. Every Day i was lucky about the Breakfast, you have more choices.

Sapa Clay House Mountain Retreat is a very beautiful and special place. The staff is just perfect. So friendly and helpful. Also the rooms are super beautiful and comfortable in a natural style. The garden is beautiful. When the weather is nice the view is stunning! The food is delicious. Try the salmon hot pot! They only use local and organic food, which tastes amazing and is worth the price. Breakfast is great. Also we liked the tours a lot that they organize with the local minorities. Mimi from the black Hmong took us on a foggy day to an amazing trip to local green tea fields and rice fields. Here we had lots of sun and great views. So all and all a perfect getaway, outside of crowded Sa Pa. It is worth the money. If I could I would give 10 stars.
