Located in a quiet corner of Sapa Town with a lovely mountain view. Wasn't expecting to be carrying my luggage up a small flight of stairs to my room on 7th floor but staff was helpful to assist. Room was spacious, clean and bed was very comfortable. TV had netflix and youtube too.

Booked a half day tour to love and silver waterfalls and heaven's gate but the driver almost didn't bring me to heaven's gate. Nevertheless, this was resolved promptly after contacting the hotel owner. Breakfast could be improved. Eggs were too salty, plain bread could have been toasted. Pancakes were not filling.

This stay will live on in our memories for all the right reasons. A delightful week - from the enthusiastic welcome to the warm goodbye. Staff were simply delightful and a pleasure to interact with. Languages other than Vietnamese were not spoken by every staff member, but they could always find someone with good English. At check-in we were offered a choice of rooms. We decided on the smaller room with the slightly less expansive views (easier to heat and keep warm). This was located in their connected, sister property (Sapa Grand Hills Hotel Apartments) and so we didn’t actually stay in Youth Homestay Sapa, but did view the property we had booked (bigger room, wall to wall glass with great views). Bed was large and really comfortable; that’s a top quality mattress. Having a deep, spacious bathtub was so,so great. On a chilly morning in Sapa, you’ll be able to warm yourself to the core. And, it even comes with a view. A short, waffle-weave bathrobe was appreciated, as were the large dispenser bottles of body wash and shampoo. This hotel has been well built and quality craftsmanship and thoughful detail adds to the experience. It felt very luxurious in so many little ways. You get a feeling of Generosity (vs providing the bare minimum that the market will bear). Local Vietnamese travellers stay here (always a great sign) and the breakfast buffet offered many choices. We ate very well (and healthily). Quirky little sweet/dessert items even popped up on certain mornings. They delighted us and the children too. On the coldest of days, an open fire would be set up in the reception area and wonderful herbs and spices wafted about. Cleaning staff responded to the Do not Disturb and the Please Clean Room signs. No over-servicing was evident. What a pleasure. Can only recommend this fine place highly; and cross fingers that we get to visit again.

We had a great stay at the Youth Homestay. The room was spacious and cozy, with a spectacular view. We enjoyed the breakfast and the laundry service was very good as well. We should mention that it’s not your typical homestay, rather a hotel but that did not bother us at all. :) Would definitely come here again and recommend it.

The room was fantastic—clean, spacious, with a comfortable bed and an excellent shower. We also enjoyed a lovely view of the mountains. The location was perfect for us, as it was away from the hustle and bustle of Sapa.

We arrived between 8 and 9 pm, and though the staff member checking us in didn't speak any English, Google Translate worked perfectly. The Wi-Fi signal was a bit weak, but YouTube on the TV streamed without any issues.

Everything. The food, the view, the room was awesome and comfortable and not moldy at all, the cleanliness. Everything.

It was a little difficult to communicate with staff if you didn't pick the right time of day to go to the front desk but that is to be expected. But they were also very kind and considerate and helpful. It could be a little less slippery on those tiles (on rainy days) if there was a long mat or some of that fake grass that some other hotels use.

We really liked the spacious and clean room and beautiful view. The location was also good, just short walk to the center, but little up the hill. Breakfast is from 7-9, but I recommend coming earlier so there is enough of everything.

Shower was leaking so after using it the water was all around the toilet etc. But you can use the bath tub instead.

The entrance is via Grand Hill Hotel entrance. You need to take elevator to the roof and then you can get in the appartment. This Youth homestay uses the same reception as the Hotel. There is air heating function if you come during cold weather.

Wrong check-in time is given in booking.com page. They accept guest from 14:00PM, NOT 12:00PM. The staff said that during the night they keep motorbikes in garage instead of parking lot, but that never happened, our bike was pushed out of the parking and left on the road. The bathroom needs heater as it is freezing during the cold weather. The shower is okay, just the stove need and upgrade or better attachment to the wall as it is almoust falling off. There is an interesting way pf plumbing system from the bathtube, but is typical in Vietnam :D

Best room we've stayed in. Big, spacious, clean, modern. Huge ensuite. Smart TV. Good location - walking distance to town but far enough away that it was quiet.

Breakfast was not catered to western taste, but still plenty of options and was still tasty.. Purely personal preference.

We were able to check in already at 7am as we took a night bus to Sapa this was a big plus! The youth homestay and the grand hills sapa hotel are the same building, in the end we got a room in the hotel which was having a bath tub.

The laundry was quite expensive (50k per kilo). The curtains could need a wash.

Great location and delicious breakfast. Everyone is really nice and attentive. Even though it was really cold in Sapa, the aircon worked perfect to keep the room worm. The only thing is that the hot showers need to be fast, otherwise you’ll rinse the conditioner with cold water.
