Location. I booked this without realising how close to the Ben Nevis North Face Car Park, which was perfect because this trip was primarily booked to summit Càrn Mòr Dearg and Ben Nevis, starting at the North Face Car Park. The view of Ben Nevis was amazing as well. Not quite in the heart of Fort William so it was nice and quiet but close enough that getting into Fort William was easy. The room was extremely clean, facilities were good with a hair dryer, kettle, television, own bathroom and even heat mats for hot hair tools. Good on site parking is always a must for me and parking here was good. Self check in is also good as there was no pressure to provide an arrival time, something I often find difficult as I'm usually hiking and don't know exactly when I'll be finished.
The only minor thing I could mention was I found the room a bit too warm, however, that is probably more of a personal thing.

Loved the view from the room - we could sit in the terrace outside and enjoy views of Ben Nevis! The room was very clean.
I stayed with my friend for 2 nights - there were some issues with hot water in a shower, only one of us could have warm shower, unfortunately. We missed glasses in the room (for water/wine or other beverage), forks would have been appreciated as well. I would also expect two hand towels for two guests (only one hand towel was provided). The room was very comfortable except for a quite disturbing noise from the other room - people were up around 5-6 am, preparing for the day, and we actually could hear their steps from the room next door (I guess something related to how the flooring is done), so this was quite disturbing.

The location was perfect for me. I stayed at the end of my trek of the West Highland Way and it was the best lodging night of the trip. I don't like being right in the city so it was nice to be on the outskirts and have it more quiet but close enough to town. The castle was right across the street which was nice for a walk or drink/meal. I hiked the back route of Ben Nevis in the morning and that trailhead is only a 15 minute walk from the inn. Rooms were the largest and cleanest I'd stayed in and the view from the back porch was amazing. Smaxi the owner was so welcoming and kind.
Nothing I didn't like about this stay. If you need a restaurant on-site there is not one, but there are light snacks like bars, oatmeal, etc provided. Restaurant options within walking distance though.

Without doubt, this was the most fantastic place we stayed on our return home from the NC500! It exceeded all expectations! Arriving late in the evening, we were able to let ourselves into the property following well communicated instructions from our host, Smaxi. I think, on opening the bedroom door, my jaw nearly hit the floor at the view of Ben Nevis from the patio doors off the bedroom which led to a lovely, enclosed private seating area. I had to take half a dozen photos of the outdoors before I could even take my jacket off. Aside from the wonderful view, the bedroom was beautifully decorated with good furniture - wardrobe, chest of drawers, etc., and it was a great size. The bathroom was amazing and, by far, the best shower we had on our trip! We were aware that we had booked a room with no "meal plan" so the pots of porridge and tea and coffee were very welcome, especially as we had planned to go straight to Fort William parkrun early the next morning. There was nothing we didn't like about this property. I was blown away by it! If there was one little request I'd put in for it's for an 11am checkout so that I could return after the parkrun and shower. It certainly wouldn't put me off staying again though, and I very much hope to return and stay here again. P.S. It was great to meet you, Smaxi, and thank you for a lovely, lovely place to stay and all the communication beforehand. We both appreciated it so much!

Everything! We were lucky enough to be in room number 1 which was beautiful! The room was big, the bathroom was huge (the shower was so powerful it was heaven), the bedding and pillows were to die for & the mini fridge was so handy - we also loved the little touch of the porridge pots and breakfasts bars. The icing on the cake was the amazing view on Ben Nevis and the seating outside to be able to sit there and have a picnic and bottle of wine (wine glasses provided). We were greeted by the owner on arrival who was so friendly and welcoming. We would book to stay here again without hesitation loved it!

You certainly can’t fault the location for viewing Ben Nevis (in between the clouds). Even when you couldn’t view it, there’s always something that catches your eye. The room was beautiful & the decor stunning throughout. It was spotless with crisp white linen & an immaculate bathroom. It had all of the usual extras & the fridge was handy. Having a pub straight across the road was a bonus. The owner was lovely & answered messages quickly. With no light pollution, the starry sky was incredible. We absolutely loved every minute of our stay.
The toilet seat was about to fall off its hinges when we lifted it. The drip mat under the fridge meant you had a struggle to shut the door.

We didn't request breakfast. It was clean, quiet, well looked after, excellent location for Fort William. Owner not on site on arrival, but instructions were clear under the open porch near access door. Received email early in the day with a code that gave access to the key box located in the porch. Plenty parking space very close to access. bed was firm and comfortable (always a worry to me who has a bad back!) Excellent shower! It made our journey to the ferry and the outer Isles very easy and comfortable. Would stay there again!
Nothing at all! 10 out of 10 from us!

The rooms were lovely and really clean. The views were stunning. The host was helpful and full of knowledge, nothing was too much. He even asked his lovely daughter to get us a couple of complimentary bottles of wine to celebrate our Ben Nevis Climb. They went above and beyond to make our stay a happy one. Would definitely recommend you stay there as it’s very accessible to Fort William, Loch Ness and surrounding areas are just beautiful. There is a lovely bar/restaurant just across the road that does good food. Thanks for everything. Maria

We bumped into the owner on the night we checked in and again when we were leaving. Very friendly and helpful. Room was wonderful, spacious, comfortable and a really great view of Ben Nevis (even though the top was covered by could).
We had assumed we would have to make do for our own breakfast so we bought milk and Weetabix but discovered there was instant oats in a cup provided so we hadn't needed to buy groceries. I can't remember if I missed that information. Appreciated the efforts for the light breakfast.
