Room was small but comfortable and clean. Decor was tasteful. Shower was hot with great water pressure. House is in a small suburban group of houses but nice and quiet. Close enough to drive into town for dinner. Nice stay.Lovely friendly helpful hosts.

There was no sitting lounge area for guests so just needed to stay in bed room. Hosts lovely. Breakfast was generous well cooked and delicious but disappointed I was charged for full breakfast second morning when only had yoghurt fruit toast. Perhaps breakfast should be included.

This is a lovely first class experience b&b. It has a great view of Ben Nevis and is located in a quiet area a close to Fort William. Both Karen and Scott are excellent hosts and have gone to a lot of trouble to make this a wonderful stay and their guests feel comfortable. The attention to detail, the extra added touches make this one of the nicest places we stayed in during our vacation in Scotland: Homemade jam, luxury shampoos and soaps, home made shortbread cookies and fudge - such a treat, Lovely dining room with linen tablecloths and serviettes. I can't say enough about how great a stay we had.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, I feel we lucked in booking at the Mayfield.

The couple running this perfect B&B are exceptional at looking after guests. Friendly and full of interesting stories. Food was delicious, homemade jams and baking . We enjoyed a walk around the garden and met the Hens. The house is tucked into a little Hamlet called Happy Valley- it certainly is . Next time we are planning a trip to Fort William, this is where we will stay . Best wishes David and Carolynn.

We had a wonderful stay and the breakfast cooked by Lynda was fantastic and beautifully presented. The beds were very comfortable and the showers were great! A light up make-up mirror was a bonus and this was the only stop during our travels where a mirror had been placed in close proximity to an outlet (helpful when drying your hair). Scott and Lynda also gave us a recommendation for dinner nearby, The Caddy Shack, which was very good.

Spotty, mostly non-existent WiFi (might have been worse for us in the back bedroom). Would have liked the option to log into our own streaming service (like Netflix) but that wasn’t available at most of the places we stayed, so maybe not so common in Scotland/UK.

Lynda and Scott were far the best hosts we have ever had. They felt like family with their warm, welcoming and caring hospitality. The breakfast was filling and delicious. The bathroom was very clean and they even gave local soaps and body wash. It really didnt bother us that it was outside of the room. The place was a bit farther from the city but could be reached by car or bus as well. We had our room organized every day, our fridge switched on and clothes cleaned. They gave us good recommendations and also talked for a while about the everydays. We really couldnt have wished for any better. Hope we will come back once again!

Very very nice bedroom & bathroom with emphasis on details (f.e. shampoo, shower gel from local soap company we saw along the way from Fort William, fair trade coffee & tee, ...) The hosts were one of the nicest people we met while travelling in Scotland. We arrived totally wet after hiking in rain and they took great care of us (Thank you!). Great breakfast in beautiful dining room.

I really enjoyed my stay with Lynda and Scott! They were so nice and I felt very welcome. I also loved my room's decoration. The bed was amazingly comfortable and I appreciated that there were several different kinds of pillows so that I could choose the one that I liked the most. There were also free cookies and Scottish tablet in the room. All in all I had a great stay!!

The floors were very squeaky :D

Lynda and Scott's hospitality was second to none. Each morning they made me a delicious big breakfast of my choice. The rooms were beautiful and spacious with incredibly comfortable beds. Impeccable cleanliness. Each day the rooms were cleaned. Upon arrival they had home made treats for us. I will be back.

Nothing I did not like. There was everything I could possibly need. Pubs and resutraunts near by.

Very friendly and hospital hosts. Clean room, when you need something you can always ask. The b&b was at walking distance from Ben Nevis north face in a very quiet neighborhood.

Taking of your shoes at the front door wasn’t always comfortable but very understandable

The room was super cozy, we had a bathroom outside of our room but all for us, so we didn´t have any issue. I highly recommend the breakfast! The host was friendly and showed us some local hikes around. + we also had a tiny fridge in the room.

The room was a bit small, basically only the bed, so do not expect anything more :-)
