We had a great stay at Double B Hostel in Bangkok. The place it self is really really cute with a nice cafe at the lobby area with many spots to relax and have a coffee or sweet and work at your laptop. We stayed in a double room. The room was clean. The bed very comfortable. fast wifi connection. There is no fridge so just have that in mind . Also and above everything since we have already stayed in lots of 5star hotels during our one-month trip in Asia, I have to say that the stuff there was the best and the level of hospitality really TOP. Above everything it is really important to know that there are people around to help you if you need anything and we felt that a lot. Send you my smile if your are reading this guys.

The beds were very clean and comfy - the hostel is new, many of the elements stil had foil seal. Localisation was great, close to many attractions. The hostel was in a wuiet area, so was good place to stay for a sleep.

I didn’t like that there was lack of information about the „rules” and „forbidden” things in that hostel. There was a whole list with forbidden stuff and with prices for „damage” - they even wrote the price for breaking a box for tissues… When I booked, there was no information that i could’t have alcohol at my room - and i wanted to drink a beer after the long flight. That should be written in rules at the booking page. Oh, and the hostel got cafe at the ground floor, and our „window” was „with a view” on people sitting inside the cafe - we had to close the curtains 24h, so no natural sunlight - or we would give a peep show in underwear for cafe quests. Not nice.

The "hostel" is more like an architectural hotel, especially since I was in a private room. The space itself is very thought out - it gives clean, minimalistic vibes with touches of modern, upscale touches. For the room space, everything seemed to be strategically planned, and you have everything you need in the room. There's even a scent in the bathroom that smells heavenly. There is a "window" in the room but it does not provide a lot of light, though the incorporated lighting in the room makes up for it. The location is in the middle of some residential 'alley' streets, which means a quiet night's sleep, but yet strategically within walking distance to some other areas (ie 15 minute walk from the infamous Khao San Road, about 20 mins to the temples and palace). There is quite a bit of local food options close by - apparently they were/are Michelin - one is a mango stick rice place, and another is a noodle place. There is a cafe inside, with locals that come by to take pictures. You get 10% off drinks too.

The cleanliness is the top thing anyone would notice when they reach this place. The whole property is extremely clean and tidy. Also the theme and the colors they have chosen for the whole place gives you this pretty, tidy, modern vibe. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The wifi is great. The amenities in the room are great. They offer two water bottles every morning. The property is not situated on a main road but still the location is quite good and accessible. Special mention to the coffee shop at the ground floor which serves absolutely great coffee, one of the best I have had in the whole of Thailand actually (most of the places in Thailand don't serve good coffee, at least for my taste). I wish the cafe offered more food options though.

The room I booked was very tiny. Since I was alone it worked for me but it can't be counted as spacious at all. Also, maybe the price could have been a bit less - but maybe I am just complaining for no reason since you do get a lot against what you're paying.

The cafe on the ground floor is so nice to have ! The coffee was bomb. The location is near to the Grand Palace and other historical sites! So it was nice to be able to head back to the hostel for a freshen up by 12. Was surprised by how much We liked the rooms looking out to an tree - was worried it was just a lit up room to suggest there is sunlight coming in, turns out it is a way to keep the rooms cool while still having a glimpse of sunlight. Just something we have not seen before.

A handful of staff members who were left alone to tend to guests had difficulty understanding english words such as bathroom, towel and rubbish. It just left for quite awkward situations and made us doubt whether our point got across

I loved it! We are so definitely coming back here! The discounted coffee. And mind you it’s great coffee! Everyone at the hotel seems to be super happy working there and they are genuinely kind and helpful.

Everything was super clean. But the hinges on the toilet seat seemed to ooze like brown and green stuff and we weren’t sure why. All in all though it was still super awesome. I’m sure that problem is very fixable. Would definitely come back to this hotel

The property was very light and airy, very well appointed with plenty of facilities such as games area and tv snug. The room was very clean and everything was done to a high standard eg bed linen etc. The highlight was the cafe downstairs which had a great selection of specialty coffee and pastries this was a real bonus. Location is also great, within walking distance of plenty of attractions. Also staff were very helpful and even found a wire which we had accidentally left in the room, thank you for a great stay!

Wonderful staff, convenient location to temples/grand palace and very clean! Beds were comfortable and had nice privacy elements.

Rooms are very small. Shower is cramped and difficult to move if you're taller than 5'9. Air-con did not work well. We had it set to 17C and it was still 25C in the room. Would not stay here again unless they fix the air-con situation

20 min walk to key sights like Grand Palace, temples & Khao san road. Quiet area with no tourists. Well priced as with most accom in Thailand

No points deducted for this as check-in time is stipulated as 3pm - but worth noting the hotel does not appear to allow early check in even if the room is available. They do allow baggage drop however. 500baht deposit for the room key is required upfront fyi. Room was quite small and shower pressure weak.

This upmarket hostel feels more like a hotel and is perfectly located within a 10-minute walk of the Grand Palace. We received a warm welcome from the reception staff, who were friendly and pleasant throughout our stay. Our king-size suite was comfortable, well-appointed, and spotlessly clean, with powerful (and much-needed!) aircon. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely return.

The addition of a fridge in the room would make it even better.
