Wonderful wonderful gem of a hotel. It was my first time in Bangkok and I was a little nervous as a solo female traveler, but as soon as I checked in at Baan Kachitpan, I felt a sense of home! It is a quaint and adorable hotel and I loved the vintage furniture, family-run feel, lush vegetation, and cats roaming around everywhere. I adore hotel breakfasts and this traditional Thai breakfast was such a joy every morning. A few things to note: the hotel is nestled between different narrow alleys but it felt totally safe to me walking alone day or night. The bathrooms are shared so it's a definitely less fancy than some other boutique hotels, but it's unbeatable for the price and warm hospitality. Another thing to be mindful of is that the hotel is near Khao San road and touristy areas, which was not my cup of tea, so I just avoided those areas and found places I liked, so it wasn't an issue. Overall, Baan Kachitpan is the perfect stay for Thai hospitality, delightful long breakfasts, and really welcoming staff. I hope to come back!

Lovely house from 1939, super breakfast and easy to find, quite a chilled vibe. Absolutely spotlessly clean. Unbelievable value for money for a large room with air conditioning.

Not many staff around during the day and if another guest hadn’t let me in, I am not sure how I would have checked in. I am vegetarian and there wasn’t an option to declare this in advance - breakfast is a lovely Thai meal but I was served chicken and bacon. As others have mentioned the house is old and creaks plus the beds are standard Thai (very) hard beds.

The room was simple and clean, just what we needed. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I initially booked a different room through the app by mistake, but when I messaged them, they gladly helped me switch to the correct one and I just paid the price difference. They also allowed us to check in early without any extra charge. Great service and warm hospitality—highly recommended!

I travelled with my son to Bangkok, it was maybe our 30th time in the city. We loved this place. The breakfasts were amazing, some of the best food of the trip. The room was comfortable, had great aircon, a good shower and everything we needed in this gorgeous old building. A fantastic neighbourhood, walking distance to just about everywhere and a bunch of convenience stores/ food outlets right up the street. No traffic, just cats!

Accommodation was very clean and cute. Staff were super kind and helpful. They will communicate with google translate if you ask questions (you need to use it too). But I felt their kindness. It was in a residential area so it was quiet as well.

I noticed that noise travels very easily so if you have noisy customers staying during your stay, it may keep you up. But it is wooden building so what can you expect.

Staying in this beautifully preserved traditional Thai house felt like stepping back in time! The atmosphere is unique, yet the comforts are provided. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, and everything was spotless. The location is peaceful and comfortable, making it a perfect retreat. Highly recommended for an authentic Thai experience!

The breakfast was fantastic, we ate mango sticky rice and green curry. The service was fantastic. The staff helped me fish my phone out of the river when it fell in and gave me a bucket of rice to put my wet in. My phone still works perfectly! The whole facility was homely and very historic. The AC machine was powerful.

This was the perfect hotel to get to know bangkok both comfortably like a home and feel like a local. Close to everything. Staff are the most loveliest people. Breakfast was INCREDIBLE. And to top it all off they gave us a coin purse as a present. Will forever remember this place and definitely coming back.

The place is run by a family. They were all very friendly and offered great hospitality. They offered us delicious home cooked meals for breakfast. Apart from being pretty, our room was clean and very comfortable. We had a lovely stay here. :)

The location was in a central part of the neighbor but back far enough away to feel more isolated and quiet. Breakfast was exceptional every morning! All the staff was so nice and accommodating.
