deliciouss.the custard toast was excellent.relaxing atmosphere.finally got to read my book in the garden with the sun shining and birds chirping.the owners were very friendly and accomodating.love this place for the historical details and the absolute peace,quiet and relaxation is beyond compare.

Loft room was brilliant

The idea of early 20th century luxury meeting with modern time is shown at The Mercersburg Inn. The house was built in 1910 and has been turned into a hotel, with each room themed from the original house (we stayed in the original owner’s dressing room). The current owners live on property and do a great job managing the place. The staff is friendly and breakfast was delivered right to the room in the morning - and it was pretty tasty! The coolest part about the Mercersburg Inn is definitely the Inn itself with the Grecian Revivalist style and rooms setup like they might be in the early to mid-20th century.

Beautiful old Manor house. Great atmosphere, Very nice old living / dining room / bar. Very friendly reception.

After we booked we got the message that the restaurant would be closed and we couldn't get any breakfast or diner. But there was no opportunity any more to cancel the reservation at no cost... There are no coffee/tea facilities on the room and no bottles of water provided, so we literally couldn't get anything in the hotel during the night or morning. In the end they offered to provide us a bottle of water, a muffin and a banana on the morning we couldn't get any breakfast or coffee. For a place like this that positions itself as a high class accomodation this is just not acceptable. Hotel has great potential, but we would hope the current owners are able to reach its potential.
