Clean, quiet and comfortable. check in and check-out was contactless and went smoothly. No office staff on site. However, the offsite staff was responsive. Check in was by a text message at the official check in time of 3 PM giving room number and door code. Door code was valid until official check out time of 10 AM. This was in a great location and bit out of town. But, a quick drive to restaurants etc.
Very low water pressure in shower and took forever to get hot. The floor was gritty. I would have preferred a bit later check out. Price a bit high for late summer, with no breakfast or other amenities.

We live in Manitou Springs and Go to Bv, Salida, cripple creek about every 3 weeks or more. Everytime I’d remark about the giant elk and this time I googled it and found the Slackwater Inn. I love the ease of check in and check out, the patio was a bonus and seeing the mountains and hearing the birds in the little tree out there was the start of a beautiful day hiking. We’ll be back!
I have no complaints, the heat took a minute to figure out then I realized it must be in Celsius not Fahrenheit. I,loved that it was near the bed for ease of use. I have no complaints, we have people on either side and never hear a sound😃

It was wonderful to be able to find a location that would allow us to bring our well-behaved dog, as we were traveling to our new home with him. We arrived late after a 650-mile drive and were able to go right to our room and settle in for the night. It was also really nice to have the coffee shop right next door to grab breakfast before we got back on the road.
The walls are a little thin, but it really was not a problem, as the neighbors were quiet too, but it might be more of an issue in the busy season. There were maybe a few surprises on arrival (e.g., the $32 for our dog that wasn't mentioned in the reservation process on booking.com), but in the end, we were happy to pay that to be able to keep him with us. The only other thing that might be nice for a dog-friendly hotel would be a grassy area for them. But to be fair, it was dark when we arrived, and we may just not have looked in the right place.

The bed was comfortable and it was so nice to have our own little backyard space. The back has a perfect area that is fully fenced for your furry family members to run around in.
Some items are in need of attention, the flooring is rolled laminated to look like tile and it’s not easy to keep clean like tile or wood, it showed and held dirt which was unfortunate. The towels in the bathrooms are teeny tiny and would not wrap around my husband. The lights in our room were held up by paper cups and the vent was being held by tissues. The toilet paper was god awful, please be mindful of the people who are staying. There is not a mat or shoe tray and they only give one dark towel, would have been nice to have another option for our shoes.

Very comfy bed, room very clean with nice decoration. Easy check-in (via code). Some people marked this as an issue, but for us made this very easy and quick. Owner/manager was quick to reply when we had a question.
Shower pressure in room 6 was very very bad, made it almost impossible to take a shower in the morning - and we are usually not picky on shower pressure. Therefore it took as well a while for water to warm up. Only a few guests highlighted the same issue in their review, so seems to be isolated to perhaps only 1-2 rooms as the complaint is not widespread?

This was a great place to stay for me and my dog! The location is right off the main highway and is one of the first buildings you’ll see so easily accessible! The room has nice modern updates and finishings. While there’s no staff on site, it was easy to check in! They were also so accommodating when I booked the wrong date and they changed it for me with no issues. There’s also a coffee shop that you can walk to from the hotel that is super cute called Station 24! My dog and I definitely enjoyed!
Our room had a coffee machine but only had decaf coffee - not a huge deal because there is a nice coffee shop you can walk to from here!

I chose this property because it was listed as dog friendly. I booked the 3 bedroom apartment which was at the end of the building and had its own fenced in yard. I have a larger dog and most places say they are dog friendly but are only friendly to small dogs. The description and pictures are actually match the property. I had some questions about the property before I went, and the management/owner was very responsive and friendly. Check-in and check-out was contactless and went smoothly. This was in a great central location close to town and all of the other activities I had planned. The place was very spacious, clean and comfortable. It had a fully furnished kitchen. There were books and games. It definitely exceeded my expectations. My dog agreed and didn't want to leave. He kept going back to the front door as we were trying to leave.
I wish I could've had a later check out time, but I understand that this property is located in a small mountain town, and they contract individuals to help them get rooms prepared for the next guests and that they need the time in between check out and check in.

So much charm and comfort! This place is heaven for travelers with dogs. The updates gave modern convenience while the décor has a rustic/modern feels. The patio was lovely and the dog run was large and well kept for the fur family. Staff was remote but responsive when I needed help getting in to my room.
If there was a hot tub, that would be amazing. I know that is a hassle and not cheap but, wishlist?

The vibes were nice. The heater worked a lil too well, which was great after sitting in the hot springs. We had to turn it down, it warmed up the room so fast. The shower was hot and water pressure was great. I wish I could have brought my dog, the private patio area is a great touch. Also love how dog friendly the property is, dog people are the best people!
The tile floors felt a little dirty on bare feet, no other issues!

This was a good place to stay and I can see how it is desireable for the kayak/rafting/cycling/hiking crowd. It was very clean. Bed was very comfy and the air conditioner/fan in the room was great to drown out the loud conversations going on outside so we could sleep. Props for having a box of kleenex in the room!
The only complaint with the property is that the neighbors were pretty noisy at 10:00 at night.
