I booked this hotel a while ago and on route to Antwerp came across some quite negative recent reviews so was a little concerned. But the hotel was a pleasant surprise. Really friendly and attentive staff, good location, parking right outside (we had a roof box on our SUV so height was an issue for garages and underground parking). All in all very good!
The decor is a little tired. The leather look sofa bed in our room was peeling and looked a bit grubby. Bathroom was nice and spacious but could’ve been a little cleaner. The windows opened out fully with no restrictions. We were on the sixth floor with a 7 year old and a 3 year old, so had to be aware of that at all times.

Good location, close to public transport, calm and quiet area. The staff was friendly and polite. Spacious room, clean and nice view (mostly buildings but good tho)
The food from the restaurant is not really the best, for the price is okay. We had paella and tagliatelle chicken and mushrooms… it wasn’t really tasty, there’s room for improvements. Also, they knew we were two but the room only had one robe and a pair of flip flops… we asked for an extra one of each, but after several requests it only came on our last day, thanks to the housekeeper who was passing by.

The sofa bed in my room was a little bit out of usable condition as the leather skin on the sofa has already peeled off very badly. I hope the hotel would take note on this and have these not suitable furnitures removed so that other guest would have a good impression of the hotel and room.
The basement parking facility is always full even to a guest who stays there for 2 weeks. Perhaps the hotel should look into prioritizing long stay guest over short stay guest in terms of parking facilities provided.

We got a free upgrade to a suit (bedroom and living room), so we are very pleased. I found the bed a little bit too hard, but it is impossible to have a bed that fits everybody..
On our last day, we came for breakfast a few minutes after it started. The scrambled eggs arrived as we came. The bacon arrived about 07:34. I prefer to eat my eggs with bacon, so I waited. The bacon should be ready at the same time as the eggs. Such details separate the very good hotels and the truly fantastic ones. The bacon tasted great, though. It only was served too late.

The staff is super kind and polite (at night when I checked in, a guy and a girl served me, thanks to them). The bed is super comfortable, huge, the pillows and blanket and bed linen were perfect. You can't hear your neighbors, it's quiet. And this is the most important thing for a relaxing stay! The room and bathroom are spacious and clean. The hotel is not new, but the atmosphere inside is wonderful and calm in terms of energy. I will definitely return to the hotel again.
There are some little things that didn't bother me. One chair was a bit worn. I slept with the window open, I think the ventilation system didn't work, but that's good, because these systems are too noisy and sometimes in other hotels you can't turn them off. The slight road noise didn't bother me, I slept until 11 very soundly, after a hard journey. I blocked the light under the bed with small pillows.

It was 20- 30min walking distance to most places, making it convenient to explore the city. Breakfast is well put out, and the mini pancakes are amazing! I can not recommend them enough. The staff are friendly and super helpful. The bed was massive and comfortable and despite it being super cold outside, the rooms were warm and comfortable.
There is not much to do around the hotel so if you want to eat or go to a pub you have to walk further out. This is not the fault of the hotel. Do watch out for the toaster at breakfast as it does burn the toast.

We had a spacious room with a balcony facing the courtyard and tasteful decor throughout. The beds were excellent. The hotel is easily accessible from the highway and still close to the city center. Shops and public transport are within walking distance. Staff were helpful and welcoming. Parking is available for a fee, a short walk from the hotel, with a drop-off zone at the entrance. The parking garage is a bit tricky to navigate but manageable. We had a very pleasant stay and would gladly return on our next visit to Antwerp.

Immaculate hotel, beautiful design that made the whole building feel warm and welcoming. Little extra touches really went to help some of the in-built elements - for example, a small elevator was offset by thoughtful access design and VERY helpful staff and the Breakfast area was a little cramped but again, offset by helpful design and warm features that made it feel more classy than the cost implied.
Depending on your approach, the surrounding area can see incongruous to the warm, welcoming vibe of the hotel. But views were great from balconies and easy access to trams and near(ish) to the cebtraal station

The chic appearance of the Leonardo Hotel The Plaza and the free upgrade to a more spacious room made the stay very pleasant. The new room matched the expectations set by the photos on Booking.com, and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. The location was also very convenient, being close to both the station and the city center.
The room I initially booked did not meet expectations; it was much smaller than the photos on Booking.com suggested, and the bathroom was disappointing. Additionally, I found the area surrounding the hotel less attractive than I had hoped. It’s worth checking the location on Google Maps beforehand to get a better idea.

I really liked the lobby, it is very spacious and nicely decorated. The room is really big and beautiful. The bed is very comfortable. The location is in the Jewish quarter, half an hour's walk from the center. Very good hotel with minor flaws.
The toilet is separated from the bathroom, which is good, but it is strange that there is no sink for washing hands in the toilet. The receptionists, although friendly and helpful, are too loud while talking about private matters and looking at their mobile phones, not paying attention to the guests sitting in the restaurant and lobby who have come to rest and enjoy. The music in the lobby could be a little louder (so the conversation between the workers would be less noticeable). One of the reasons why we decided to stay at the hotel is the parking garage at the hotel, but they still sent us to another garage a few hundred meters away from the hotel with the excuse that the hotel's was full.
