From start to finish we absolutely loved our time at A&O! Opposite the beautiful train station of Antwerp this newly renovated hostel was the best stay we had in Belgium. Really friendly staff and massive room. Super clean and new mattress. The bunk beds were new too and very spacious. The bed was really comfortable and double glazing gave us a peaceful nights sleep. The breakfast was delicious and the best coffee we have had since we left the UK! This is more like a hotel than a hostel and less than half the price of any hotel in Antwerp. Spotless bathroom with powerful shower and even shower gel! Room 208 was massive and actually could have been 2 rooms easily. There was a TV and 2 wardrobes so plenty of storage. Book now, you won’t be disappointed!

I loved staying here, the room was secure, comfortable and had everything you could need, much more like a hotel than a hostel as I stayed in a private room. In fact, I moved here for the final three days of my trip, after the original hostel I'd been staying at was uncomfortable and run-down, so this place salvaged my trip a lot. Thanks! Great location right next to the train station, allowing me to wake up late, and still make my train on time for various day trips around Belgium. Excellent overall.

No complaints, very pleasant experience.

Big rooms with beds distant to each other, clean bathroom, reception very polite and helpful (taking into consideration I arrived 2.20 AM), had baggage locker room for free for all the clients, very discreet, easy to find, polite. Amazing quality for the price.

There was no small light for the night and no curtains in the bed, so if someone opens the light in the night it is directly in the beds. Also, there is no plug near the bed so you cannot charge while resting, but you can leave it on the desk.

The room was very spacious and comfortable; the bed was large, and also very comfortable. The bathroom had all the necessary facilities, and was well stocked. Overall the place is very comfortable, and it's in an unbeatable location: literally across the road from Antwerp Central. At such a good price, the place was excellent, and if I'm in Antwerp again, I will choose to stay here. I also like the luggage storage facility, and the bar. Both are very useful, and easily accessible.

I liked the location to where the hotel was located, Emilio was a delight and the space of my room.

I had to change rooms because the water in the shower was going down the drain very slowly. When I addressed this issue, I was assured that someone would come into my room at a certain time and I even reluctantly delayed my upcoming plans to make myself available in the room; but nobody came in the end.

A warm welcome at reception desk with all information I needed. Room rather small on 9. floor but with a separate WC/shower. All was very clean, also the window. Breakfast more than okay with a very friendly guy at 7 a.m. 😀 Absolutely near Antwerp Central Station. Cross The Street and after less than 20 meter from side exit, you'll be there. My choice for next stay.... and the next....and the next....

Everthing's fine! Nothing's wrong

The location is great—very close to the railway. Additionally, the staff were helpful and allowed us to store our luggage there for free after check-out.

On the date we stayed there, the main issue was that the hotel internet was not working. It was a struggle for us because we intended to use it to complete our plans. We had to pay for another eSIM to deal with the issue. Anyway, I hope this doesn't happen frequently.

I have only two complaints re breakfast. Coffee from machines is horrible, it's the same in most hotels these days. If youghurts are to be provided (I eat them every day) some of them should be plain. If I'm in Antwerp again I would go back to the same hotel.

The hotel is dated, but reasonably priced for Antwerp. The location was perfect for us (right outside the train station). Helpful and friendly staff. It was definitely cleaner and better than we'd read in the reviews; Practical for leaving your luggage (we arranged to arrive early and leave our luggage).

Do not arrive right at the start of chick-in times (3pm), unless you want to wait in line.

Convenient location right across Central Station. Relatively quiet at night despite downtown location.

According to the Booking.com description the bar is open 24/7, but it was closed in the morning. Hot drinks only available as part of the full breakfast option; if you don't take that you have to get your tea or coffee from outside. Bathroom has a bath tub with a hand shower only, so in my room one can't take a real shower.
