The best thing about this hotel is the guy that does the night shift from 23:00. Funny, handsome guy with a beard. We had a problem with our room and he took us to a hotel tour to find the perfect room so we could change while making it super fun as we were tired from being outside all day long. Plus did I mention he is super handsome and funny and pleasant? Ladies, check in after 23:00, trust me. On the other hand, the hotel is right across from the opera and the bus stops if you are planning trips to The Hague or Brussels or Paris etc. flix bus stop. Very comfortable beds, good breakfast. Pleasant staff.

Its location is good, 10 mins from train station and 5 mins to downtown. I want to thank Salwa the chief in the kitchen as she boiled eggs specially for our 10-months old. They have locker room where you can leave your luggage after checking out. They even prepared two free wine and some flowers as it was our anniversary.

While food quality was good, variety of breakfast items on the other hand wasn’t. Space in the room was very limited after placing the baby cot but it’s not their problem really. No safe. Room service was very bad in cleaning the room, they even forgot one of their cleaning materials beside my daughter’s food kit.

We were very happy with the stay. Expected sized room for a city hotel. Good shower, very comfortable bed and pillows. Good range of breakfast items. Great location for what we needed. Quiet room, only slight noise from trams but we were facing the tram/bus area.

We had problems with the heating system. It was either too hot or the fan was blowing all night. Staff on the front desk were great to assist and change the temperature from their system. Staff did say that they were having problems. Wouldn't deter us from using the hotel again.

Excellent Location, with quick & easy access to all modes of public transportation. All the staffs were very friendly, kind and welcoming. They were prompt in responding to any requests made. The breakfast was nice too with pretty decent options.

We were given a room with two single beds despite having booked a Standard Queen Room. The staff said that there may be a glitch with Booking.com. Because the hotel was fully booked on the day we checked in, the staff advised us to check the next day, as some rooms would be available. However, the room we received (with two single beds) had an amazing street view and the beds could be joined together. So we didn't bother to change rooms.

A very swift and friendly welcome - checked in quickly and everything explained. Got a token for a free drink at the bar too - bonus! I was on the 7th floor with a room overlooking the square outside the hotel. The room was spotless, a decent size and very well equipped. A big comfy bed, a surprisingly very useful TV for once - great interactive menu with the option to use YouTube and/or stream from your phone. Great! A really well presented bathroom with a big shower and a good supply of Dove shower, hair and hand gel. Extra points: separate decent hairdryer and an iron and ironing board ! Breakfast was a solid 8/10 - a good choice of cold meats, cereals and pastries - I would have liked a few more hot options other than the two types of scrambled eggs but its a minor gripe. A great Holiday Inn, well located to reach all of Antwerps sites within a 10min walk. Bonus tip: If you're getting a Flibco or Flixbus they both stop across the road from the hotel

Honestly other than the above mentioned breakfast gripe there wasn't much. I suppose the room experience would be improved by the addition of a small fridge - that would of come in handy and I suspect in summer months this would be even more useful.

first of all, the staff was lovely, especially Lieve. She is a type of a receptionist that goes above and beyond for a customer. She’s very friendly, quick to share any info about Antwerp, knowledgeable. The rest of the staff were also very nice. The room itself was comfortable, clean and well organized. We had a lovely view of Antwerp from our window. The bathroom was clean, the hotel provided plenty of towels as well as shampoo, body wash and soap. Trash was taken care of the next day as well as fresh towels were provided. It was a really good stay.

The hotel is very near to the train station. It is convenient to walk from the train station to the hotel and not depend on the public transport. The hotel is right next to the tram and bus stations. Catching public transport to different part of the city from the hotel is very easy. The hotel has a luggage hold facility and can be utilized before check-in and after check-out The hotel rooms are clean and all the facilities were available as advertised. There is enough storage for clothing. The breakfast table has enough options and is priced reasonably (If not included already in the price). There are many eateries near the hotel. Hence, there are a lot of places to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. The duty managers and hotel staff are friendly and service-oriented. Major tourist attractions are at a walkable distance from the hotel.

The rooms are a little smaller compared to a few other hotels in the area within the same price range. The hotel is right next to the tram and bus station and is in a busy area. So it may be noisy in the late evenings and early nights if you get a room facing the stations. If you prefer a quieter room, you can ask for a room that is not facing the stations. They do not have hand sanitisers placed near the front desk or the breakfast buffet. WC is located on the -1 level. So, be prepared to take additional steps if you are germophobic.

I travelled to Antwerp with my Mum. The hotel is in a great location. The staff were exceptional. So friendly and helpful. We can't thank the team enough. Ennis, Eloise and team all fantastic. The hotel has everything you need for a short break and the breakfast is wonderful. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for value and excellent staff.

No complaints, excellent hotel! Staff really do go above and beyond and spent time showing us maps and travel routes.

Perfect central location-five minutes from the train station. We stayed in the HolidayInn Express for four nights. It was our base for Belgium vacation. We traveled to Brussels, Ghent and Brugge from Antwerp central. It’s easy and convenient. Also, the hotel is walking distance to Antwerp highlights, shopping and restaurants.

We liked everything. It’s affordable too. One day we came late for breakfast, but the restaurant employee brought us food anyway. It was unexpected and we really appreciated it.
