We absolutley loved our stay at Seachange Lodge. The location is perfect within easy walking distance to the town, shops and supermarket. Yes its a bit rundown and not exactly like the pictures but once you get over the fact that pretty much the whole of Vanuatu is this way due to cylclones and other set backs you will realise what a true gem you have found in Seachange. Ian the owner is so fiendly and helpful. we told him our water in the ensuite shower didnt work and it was fixed the very next day. we asked for a mattress for our extra child and he provided us with a full bed. He wheeled the big bbq over for us so we could cook each night and invited us to quizz night and joined us for dinner at the reccomended french restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was big with full size kitchen and fridge and 2 bathrooms and big entertainment deck. kyaks were availeble for use although it was a little windy for us to go. We really enjoyed the pool and the lovely views when sitting and swimming.

Good location a bit south of central Port Vila in a nice neighborhood. Walking distance to an excellent Au Bon Marche supermarket (the one in central PV doesn't hold a candle). I was upgraded to the waterside bungalow--very comfortable with a full little kitchen and huge bathroom. Very, very steep hill (the owner actually drove me and my luggage down at check in) but lovely garden and loved the sound of the water lapping just outside my lodging. Super friendly; booked me a scuba dive over the phone. I used one of their kayaks (not see-through but better) to explore the bay/inlet--very calm water but not recommended to swim there (I didn't use the pool)

I had the perfect stay at SeaChange Lodge! Ian the owner is lovely and incredibly kind. He made absolutely everything possible to make my stay easy, welcoming and comfortable. I had the chance to try two different types of rooms, having stayed there twice: the Waterside Chalet and one of the studios - and both were absolutely clean, comfortable, with all amenities & basic bathroom/kitchen goods provided. The Chalet was of course one notch above with a great view, jetty on the lagoon and a great bathroom (but prepare yourself for a long fly of stairs to reach the main road!) If you are a light sleeper, and that’s the case for every hotel on the lagoon from my discussions with other tourists: take with you ear plugs as there are dogs barking non stop as well as roosters for a couple of hours when the night comes down Location is very convenient - 5mins local bus ride from main town and about 20mins walk. Not only I would recommend the place but I would definitely stay there again if I come back to Vanuatu!

Location top notch , owner on hand very approachable and helpful. Staff friendly and humble. Walking distance 800 m from sports slash eatery restaurant part of hotel complex but everyone welcome. Took kayak out first time was 2m away from a Dugong was my highlight of the trip. Couple km easy stroll to local market eating station with a gamut of vegetables for sale. 100percent recommend to easy going adventuring travellers.

Ian the host is an impeccable host and more reliable than my bed. If the man can help you he will go out of his way to help you and never ever ask for a thing in return. He is a role model host for the South Pacific.

Considering 2 category 4 cyclones passed through the area a few days before I arrived and I had a clean dry bed and room, hot water to take a shower, electricity and Wi-Fi there is nothing I didn’t like about staying here.

We loved the waterfront area and the private jetty. Ian was the most wonderful host and Oli was so helpful. The view from our chalet made us feel the most relaxed out of our whole trip. It is around a 10-30 min walk to town including supermarkets, bars, and restaurants. Many good recommendations from Ian in that front.

The track down to the Chalet is steep, however there were stairs as an alternative too. It was worth it to us and was a good way to get the blood pumping.

Good location in the quieter part of the city. To the city centre it was a 15 minute walk but grocery store was even closer. Easy check in process. We arrived late at night due to our flight being delayed but the staff was waiting for us.

Only one time we did not get hot water. Not really a sand beach but still nice views.

Our cottage was very spacious with a well equipped kitchen, the pool and the gardens were lovely. Our hosts couldn't do enough for us. Thank you Ian and Olie.

We were near the road so we heard a lot of noise especially on Friday night.
