Great value for money. Perfect central location. Room was basic but exactly what we expected and were looking for. The bed was fabulous, super comfortable and the room was really clean, the bathroom was immaculate. The staff were pleasant, Michael was very friendly and helpful on arrival. Good parking availability. We weren't up early enough for breakfast (wedding the night before) so can't comment on food, but overall we had a very pleasant, short one night stay - its a perfect "place to rest your head". We would definitely stay again!
The room itself was small with the space mainly taken up by the bed, but this didn't bother us as the bed was so comfortable to sleep in it was a good/welcome use of space!!!

Everything, the hotel had wonderful views from the back, the town itself was full of interest, the location was so easy to get everywhere but most of all, a special note on Denis, who looked after us so well, serving a wonderful breakfast, telling us of where we should visit, full of the typical Irish fun which really made our visit so special, he could not do enough for us. Also, the evening meals were great, a special request by my husband for bacon and cabbage, a real Irish meal, was no trouble, although not on the menu. That's what is called service. Very sad to leave and hope to return.

The rooms were spacious and very clean, the beds were very comfortable, I had an amazing sleep. It was lovely waking up to the view. I would definitely stay here again. The location was perfect.
The breakfast was a bit basic, not much choice and if there was a good coffee stand, where you could access it yourself, this would be a great and easy way to elevate the breakfast experience. But this was very minor and didn't reflect from the stay

A very good hotel that was well placed in the village. We stayed there mainly for the 'Quiet Man' fame, but came across other great things to do..! Our host was very friendly and provided excellent advice on the local area alongside a very warm welcome. Rooms were comfy, clean and a good size. We overlooked the river. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The cooked breakfast was very good..! There is an attached bar, which we made good use of. We also ate there in the evening, which was very pleasant. Good atmosphere in the bar, which jad a good mix of locals and hotel guests. We'd stay again without question.....

We visited for one night on Easter weekend. The check-in process was nice and easy. Plenty of parking at the property. Staff very friendly and helpful. There is a good pub on site with sports on tv and food served until late evening. Coming from Dublin the prices in the pub were very affordable. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Tea and coffee available in the rooms. The beds very big and comfy too. The bathrooms modern and clean. One of the rooms had no window, which took me by surprise, but for one night stay it made no difference to me. There is a bit of natural light coming in through the bathroom door but for a longer stay I would definitely look for a room with a window. The other room had a lovely view of the village. But both rooms were cosy and warm. Breakfast was good with full Irish fare in a form of buffet plus cereal, juices and coffee served by friendly staff. All in all we enjoyed our stay in beautiful Cong village.

Food was good. The staff were fantastic (Especially Denis, Katie, Caitlyn and Vicky.). Locals were friendly and amenable. The hotel is smack in the middle of the town and is a great jump off spot for loads of nearby sights. The room was spacious and the king-sized bed was very comfortable.
Decor was a bit worn and tatty in places but bit didn't impact on our stay or our enjoyment of the hotel.

Breakfast was beyond wonderful. My room was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the river. The location was perfect, with everything I needed nearby. Of course, the village is small, so everything is within walking distance.
A guest laundry could have been useful, but I understand the property is small, so I can see why that wasn't available. I also wish the windows in the room opened farther to let in a nice breeze. Both of these observations are very small and in no way were a detriment to the over all experience.

Breakfast was amazing and served the best coffee! Parking was convenient and the staff were very helpful. The location was perfect to immerse yourself in iconic locations from the "Quiet Man". Everything was a short walk away and the area is absolutely beautiful.
The room numbering is confusing. When we come up stairs the first sign we saw was for rooms in the one hundreds and at the end of the hall the rooms change to the two hundreds. Other then that minor inconvenience it was a fantastic stay.

Toward the end of our 4-day stay, I decided to self-quarantine myself and cope with a cold while the rest of the family enjoyed the sights and sites in the village. At some point the manager became aware of my status and coordinated with the kitchen to prepare some broth-heavy soup (as the attached tavern did not have any chicken noodle soup on their menu). I also liked the attached bookstore and chatting with Robert, the owner, before buying a few genealogy-related books. Perhaps the highlight of the trip was our encounter with about 10 locals at the next table in the tavern. After volunteering to take a photo of their group celebrating an 80th birthday, they provided me with a few leads in my search for some information regarding my 2g-grandfather in the 1850s. That led me to the Puddleducks Café down the street and a chance to chat with the manager (who connected me to the owner - and his brother - at the Spar station).
It would have been better if we had arrived before the Tourist Office closed at the end of September.

A warm welcome and fabulous location. Straight forward to find, lots of parking and a delightful warm welcome from first arrival, in the bistro/bar and all the days that followed; all of the staff were delightful. Our room was clean and had everything we needed and looked out onto the river. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, with lots of choice to suit all tastes. Highly recommend Ryan’s Hotel for a stay in Cong
Not really a dislike; but if there could be a way to access the hotel from the car park rather than having to walk around to the front with luggage that would make it even better
