Marie was a wonderful host who gave us a map and suggestions to make the most of our time in the Coonemara. The Irish breakfast set us up for the day. And a parting word of advice that we should not let the weather interrupt any of our plans in Ireland is something we will take with us wherever we go, beyond the shores Ireland. This stay was an unexpected gem for us on our 3 week trip in Ireland

The outlook was amazing. Mary was very attentive and provided an exceptional Breakfast, above our expectations. I have added a photo of the bread that was provided with our cooked breakfast, this was alongside bacon, sausages and egg and tomato. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Our beds were not as comfortable as we like and the pillows were quite firm and flat.

The room was clean and comfortable. The host was very accommodating and served an excellent breakfast each morning. She also was very willing to provide information about the surrounding area and where to go and what to see. The location was lovely and very quiet. She allowed the use of the sitting room and was very comfortable. It was nice to have another place to sit and read or just enjoy the view.

Mary is a dote, she's very welcoming, warm and open to helping in every way. She set the tone for a very relaxing stay. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the towels and linens we needed. The calming view was also very welcome. The cooked breakfast was tasty, and although no gluten-free options were available she adjusted it to include only the gluten-free products and had no problem with my wife bringing her own food, having suggested it herself. Location was very peaceful and quiet, a short drive from the village.

Tea, coffee & snacks (cookies, biscuits, etc) are laid out in the dining room, so plan your trips for a cuppa to boil the kettle there as there are no facilities in the room. We didn't mind it too much. On the plus, kettle always full, loads of mugs, generous selection of snacks. Slow fill toilet was quite loud over several minutes, so were careful when we flushed in consideration of other guests.

Nice staff and beautiful location. Warm welcome and excellent indications of the surroundings. Good breakfast! We arrived late and the lady prepared a rood for the dinner we brought.

This is not a negative comment: just to consider that there is not 24 hrs reception and that you have to arrange arrive with the owners. I think it is normal having into account the familiar spirit of the place.

Nice room with a great view over the lake. A five minute drive from the village and very quite. A great breakfast that was traditional Irish but not too large. The host was very helpful.

shower entry was tight and would be challenging for a larger person but otherwise great.

The owner / host is a very nice lady. She showed us everything, Gave us recommendations for restaurants in Oughterad and regarding activities in the region. The house is located directly at the lake, with a lake view from the rooms or the front terrace. You can use the living room if you like. The breakfast is really good. You need a car to get from the Waterfront House to the village. Walking along the Main Street is no fun. It is very quiet there and great to disconnect from every days work.

The host was very nice and the breakfast was also really good. The area around the B&B was very quiet and really beautiful. On one side of the house is a lake, on the other side grazes with sheep's.

The house is not reachable without a car. If you have a rental car it's no problem with the parking. But without you cannot reach it. The wall to the other rooms were quite thin, so you could hear steps from other residents

It was like stepping in another world of quiet and calm environment. Great price ,clean room, great view,options to walk near the lake , to have a quiet time in the room or to enjoy a glass of wine and a game in Mary's sitting room. Lovely breakfast, Mary ,the host is wonderful.

This is a magical part of Ireland, the B&B is right on the lake after a 2K drive from the Main Road. Great place to walk, fish or just relax. Mary was a wonderful host with suggestions on where to go and where to eat. I wish I had stayed longer than 3 nights
