Very comfortable and clean room, with large bathroom and very reasonable price. Room included fridge/toaster/microwave and everything for a continental breakfast! Owner was very kind to pick us up and drop us off at the village since we were traveling by public transport and I hadn’t checked the accessibility by foot very well beforehand.

Tip for future hikers: there is a way to avoid the main road (which I personally thought was too dangerous) by taking the red trail through the forest and then join up with the smaller roads that go accross (~40 mins).

Parking and greeting on arrival excellent, especially set of keys and invitation to come and go freely appreciated. The option for a cooked breakfast was used and a valuable start for the day of the wedding we were attending that day. The home was an excellent choice for our purpose, thank you very much.

Bath towels could be softer ( bicarbonate of soda to wash ) and dry, ( heated towel rail perhaps) Confusing end dates on continental breakfast yogurts and although not used a great refrigerator facility For privacy to the large front window a Roman blind might be a great addition.

The Room - It was very comfortable and there was a nice view from outside. The Breakfast was very nice, plenty of choice and we didn't need to leave the room. The bed was very comfortable too. There was a minor glitch with the TV but this was fixed quite quickly.

There was nothing we didn't like about this hotel. I guess the only negative thing to say was finding the hotel, it's off the main road slightly hidden. With assistance from satnav's you wont have much trouble finding it.

We were disappointed there was no guest area to sit or eat so we had to eat breakfast in our room. The “continental breakfast” provided was unimaginative- it was ok but could have been much better.

We didn’t like having to be confined to our room for food and not having anywhere to sit and chat. Especially as we had met up with friends who stayed there too. There is an offer for a cooked breakfast at an extra cost but you would have to have it in your bedroom- we didn’t fancy that!

Spacious, clean, comfortable and with everything you need and many homely touches! The owner has thought of everything. Cong village is about a 35 minute walk that can take you via the beautiful Cong woods, across the river that has the monks fishing house (and abbey nearby) and with a view to Ashford castle. We found five great bars in the small and picturesque village, live music in one, so had a very enjoyable Saturday night. Blakehill house was absolutely perfect for our short break to enjoy beautiful Cong.

The room was spacious. The breakfast view at the window was nice. Breakfast is served in your room and the condiments for coffee etc was more than enough. The host is not stingy at all, and that in itsself is very refreshing. The host is friendly and even though she was not there when we checked in, she knocked on our door later in the evening to introduce herself. She is really friendly and we had a great stay even though it was short.

Google maps takes you to a different house. Apparrently the host sent us the EIRE code, but due to signal problems I only got it that evening. We are also not fans of Halloween and the house was made up for that, but that is my own personal preference and I cannot reallt fault the host for it.

Excellent communication with Theresa and a warm welcome when we finally arrived on a very wet evening. Room has a continental stocked fridge microwave toaster and tea & coffee facilities. Very large comfortable bed with en-suite. Even got a complementary cooked breakfast on our last day, mum and I were very happy. Thank you we will be back 👍

The most comfortable bed of a 2 week vacation all around Ireland! The room was very large and the attached bathroom was SO spacious with a huge garden tub

Note that the breakfast is continental and not cooked by host. It is in the room with a mini fridge and kettle and microwave. You can pay extra for cooked breakfast. Also note it has a late check in time. However we arrived early and were able to checkin

Very clean, comfortable. Easy to find. Lovely room with bathroom. Quiet and warm. Everything I need! So much food available for breakfast and all available in the room!

Properties usually send a little message a welcome-info-direction message before I stay. Not here. I was given the wrong key of the room, I could not lock it. There were no other guests, so that was not too much trouble

The choice of having a cooked breakfast or a continental in our room was wonderful, the range of breakfast items provided in the room was beautifully laid out and catered to whatever you might be feeling like having. Couldn't fault the staff, very welcoming and warm and nothing was a bother. Very clean and comfortable room and in general, will be back again and definitely recommend this wonderful b&b.
