Two adults and two teenage grand children. Price was right. Room was a bit smaller than in the pictures, but perfectly adequate for sleeping in. The bathroom was great. All was clean. The breakfast was tops, we all really enjoyed the variety and ate until we were stuffed. The location is within walking distance of the Kumamoto Castle, our reason fro staying in Kumamoto. Parking was included in the hotel price. The hotel is near the Shimotori covered shopping street where we went for supper and to observe local life. It is close to the streetcar stop so no problem getting here from Kumamoto train station or from the Kumamoto bus terminal. I had stayed here many years ago for business, and forgot that I had until I saw the place. It is a modern hotel. I was delighted to stay here again and would stay in the future, too.

The room was a bit cramped for four sleeping, but it was workable. Two beds folded up Japanese style.

The room has two single beds and two tatami beds. The room is not that big. There is basically no space to walk around after all the luggages are opened. The location is consider good. We can see Shirakawa River from the window.

Parking lot - The car can’t leave until the next day’s check-out, and it costs 1,200 yen. As a result, our self-driving tourists can only park the car in the nearby paid parking lot, because the parking lot provided by the hotel is on a first-come, first-served.

The room rate was very good given the size and level of service. The front desk was very good about storing our bags before check-in and after check-out. The location was not too far from the Karashimachou tram stop (with a food court and supermarket in the basement of Sakuramachi near there). Nagoya Castle was within walking distance, but more than a short stroll.

The bathrooms had a very high step to get into, and a ledge to get out. If one isn't careful, one could stub one's toes. And a desk light was lacking.

Very good price in convenient location near central shopping arcades and less than 10mins walk to bus station. The hotel is located on a small street with very nice independent shops and cafes leading to the riverside. We were lucky to have rooms overlooking the river.

Overall we had really nice stay, although the rooms are quite small for 2 people, we stayed for 2 weeks and managed very well.

Good sized room, convenient location (20 min walk to the castle; 5 min to the main shopping, entertainment district). Parking nearby (not free).

We paid 1200 yen for 24 hour parking, but when we checked out of our room early and decided to walk around for another hour (which we still had on our parking meter), the meter stopped, so we had to add more yen to leave. I wish the front desk staff had mentioned this when we were checking out.

The entrance was beautiful and its located close to the Town Centre. The room was clean, nicely decorated with all the little perks you usually would not find in other hotels ie room fresheners and shoe polish. The staff were all polite and friendly. I was given fresh towels, robes, slippers, and tea and green tea daily. Coffee machine is in the lobby, hot and fresh but I would have liked to have the option to have some milk with it, nevertheless, it was excellent for visitors especially.

I actually like everything but the bath was pretty high and deep, also the step up to the toilet room was high. It may not be much of a problem for others but I struggled with that due to my own personal issues. There's no parking on site but we were able to park briefly in front of the hotel for pick up and drop offs. There's no restaurant onside but there are local restaurants within reasonable walking distance. All in all, I would choose to visit this hotel again.

We like the location of the property, it is closed to the riverside and also walkable distance to Sakuramachi, Kumamoto Castle and some of major shopping street.

What we didn't like is that since the A/C is centralized, the room becomes super hot and dry during this winter season, but we can't really control the temperature from within the room. The hotel comes with a washing and dryer on the second floor, however, I think they need to maintain the machine well, or else, we ended up with a smelly laundry at the end.

We loved the location. It was a convenient walk to many things to do or see. The rooms were cozy and cute for the price. Toiletries are available 24/7 in case you forget or need something. The breakfast buffet at the restaurant offers so many foods. The staff was helpful. Our phones weren't getting proper service, and a staff member printed out a map/directions for us. We would recommend and return ourselves.

The room size is bigger than average Japanese hotel. Riverside view is terrific. Staff was super nice. Definitely a happy stay!

The location is somehow far away from city, which you need to walk a bit more. The room doesn't provide bottle water although there is a water fountain machine at the hall.

Parking lot is limited. You better have to park for overnight stay because the hotel will charge for every 30 min if you just come for check in and go out. The bathroom has high step, not convenient for seniors.
