The cooked breakfast was fantastic! It took quite a while to cook, but there was so much of it, we didn't need to eat again till that evening! The b&b owners are Northerners and the only thing that beats a Northern breakfast is an Ulster Fry!! 😊 I loved the size of the bathroom sink. I'm used to struggling with tiny sinks, so this was a real pleasure. One surprising little touch that I've not seen anywhere else... the provision of earplugs! 😊

It's not the proprietors fault, but the main road is incredibly busy until quite late at night. Directly opposite there's a large petrol station and fast food place. The light coming from them was extremely bright. Again, not Holbrook's fault, but definitely something to be aware of... and probably why they provide earplugs! 🤣 The TV signal was intermittent to the point of being unwatchable. However, we arrived in the middle of Storm 'Bert', so I expect that that was the reason.

The owners were very good hosts and gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble. The room was large, with everything you could need for a short stay. The bed was very comfortable with good pillows, although this is obviously a personal preference thing. Earplugs were provided as the building is on a main road, however they were not needed as the traffic was light and not too intrusive. The B & B had a large sign in the front making it easy to find as it was just off a large roundabout. Breakfast was excellent with a very large choice of options including the full English which was very well cooked.

The en-suite looked a bit dated although the shower itself was excellent.

full english breakfast very good and a nice selection of cereals and fruit. Lovely pot of tea. I was with mother; wife and son and daughter and all enjoyed their breakfast.

I am a decorator so couldn't help notice water stains etc in some of the rooms. This did not effect my enjoyment but might others. Bed sheet had cat or dog hair in it and looked as if muddy cat footprints. If i had mentioned this i know it would have been changed however

Ian and Diane were so friendly and very welcoming. As soon as we arrived Ian kindly locked our bicycles away safely and Diane showed us to our room offering to carry our luggage up the stairs,very kind. The room had tea,coffee and so grateful after a long cycle BUSCUITS:) Breakfast was excellent,Greek yogurt as well as other flavours,fresh fruits and cereals. A great full English with toast followed all cooked perfectly. Thank you both for a lovely experience. From Tim and Klaudi.

Had a great choice of breakfasts. Had the cooked breakfast on our first morning which was delicious. Second morning had the continental which was good. We were able to chat with other guests and gained some useful info.about events going on locally. Our bed was very comfortable. Our hosts were very friendly

We prefer to stay in B&Bs rather than chain hotels and the Holbrook didn't disappoint :-) we were made to feel welcome, nice room, good car park, great location and an excellent breakfast, definitely recommend and we will go back

Nothing really, it would be nit picking

Location was excellent, short walk to town, and a couple of pubs/restaurants. Hosts very welcoming. They stored our bikes for us in their garage. Lovely breakfast and hot shower.

Room was a bit tired and could do with blackout blinds or curtains.

Friendly owners who deliver a superb breakfast. All fresh excellent quality produce & the best coffee. Very close to the lovely town, & within easy walking distance. Room was comfy & very clean. Plenty of tea, coffee, milk & biscuits on hospitality tray & the room had a lovely big window to open for fresh air. Nice toiletries & good quality towels provided.

The décor & furniture is a little dated but the bed was very comfortable.

Chatting with Ian and Diane whilst tucking in to a hearty breakfast (the full English was excellent, as was the kippers) - really set the day off well. Conveniently located quite close to the town made it easy to find somewhere to get an evening meal.

Easy to get to location, Diane and Ian are lovely and make you feel very welcome. The breakfast are fantastic and set you up for the day. Would definately use again and look forward to our next trip down to Somerset.

Nothing to report, I'm very happy we stayed there. Would recommend the B&B to anyone travelling to somerset or through it. Lovely People and Lovely location. Great place to stay.
