The whole estate was wonderful. Loved the building and grounds plus the parking was really good. Lots of space and had plenty of room for opening car doors etc. I also appreciated the dog bed and the treats. That was really great.

I didn't have any shampoo or shower soap so had to use the hand gel. I couldn't wash my hair. The Convive restaurant menu was a little disappointing as was more like a pub menu. There wasn't any fish fillet dishes so we ened up with sandwiches for our evening meal. My mum ordered a cranberry and brie toastie and it came untoasted. The chef said that's how it comes but nothing was toasted. It was very odd. The waiter was excellent though and went back to the chef and asked for a new toasted toastie to be made.

The Hotel far exceeded my expectations, it is a lovely building in a super setting. The Staff on arrival at Reception were friendly and helpful and polite, which is how it should be. You notice as soon as you enter the hotel, the decor is nice and fresh and you can see a lot of care has been taken to make its appearance pleasant. The room was also very good, a comfortable bed, decorated well and good facilities such as a coffee machine. The Food both in the evening and at breakfast was excellent and again the staff were attentive. The breakfast was one of the best I have experienced of late, everything was quality and cooked perfectly and was fresh.

Nothing to report in terms of what I didn't like.

I have previously stayed here a few years ago and the room I stayed in was lovely. However this time round was quite disappointing. Soon as you walk in you see the burn marks of an iron on the carpet. Not once not twice but three times! The kettle has seen better days. The shower was just a trickle no power at all. Otherwise the room was clean and bed comfy.The view was overlooking bins and the main road. So a little noisy not that is the hotels fault at all. The staff are all lovely which made the stay that much better. The outside of the hotel is still beautiful as ever. It just seems it needs a refurb in places.

After an initial problem with the room we had a wonderful stay. Some of the rooms have not been refurbished yet and we were put in one of these rooms. After speaking to hotel reception and an upgrade we were moved to a newly refurbished room that we were more than happy with. I didn’t get the receptionist name but she did a fabulous job of sorting it out for us. We loved it…room was great and the breakfast was delicious…they had a pancake maker, something I’ve never seen before. Food was hot, fresh & tasty.

I feel the rooms that haven’t been refurbished should be shut off now until they have been done as the one we initially had wasn’t worthy of a 2 star hotel. I would rather have stayed in a travelodge than that room. Please don’t use them until they are worthy of the 4 stars advertised or it will only get you bad reviews.

We stayed here for 3 nights when we were visiting family 21st- 24th dec 2024. We found the hotel to be very welcoming and the staff were very helpful to any enquiries. There was an excellent breakfast selection my particular favourite being the pancake making machine to make yourself fresh pancakes. There are two places within the hotel that you can have a drink and a top quality meal. These are the stables pub and the Convive restaurant. The rooms are clean and of a high standard with a nice selection of teas and coffees. We stayed in a deluxe room which was spacious bright and warm. We will definitely stay here again as we visit our family as often as we can (we live on the IOW) highly recommend this establishment to anyone visiting leeds as it is within easy distance of the many amenities that leeds has to offer.

The only thing we would have preferred would have been a walkin shower rather than a shower over the bath, but that is just our personal tastes.

Staff were helpful & friendly. Room was clean and on ground floor as requested. Very good breakfast with a good choice. Evening meals in main restaurant were good, choice could have been better but all food was of a high quality.

There was no designated disabled parking around the front entrance or in main parking which was a big shame. I used crutches and walk from car park was awkward. However I would say that across my Leeds visit I found disabled attitude lacking particularly at the First Direct Stadium.

Breakfast was splendid, I especially liked the honeycomb and freshly baked pastries. The fresh fruit bowl was the same on both days we stayed of berries which was not a favourite of mine but there was enough variety to have other fresh fruit options. The staff were all welcome and friendly, especially both head of service on breakfasts on the 23 & 24 November & the gentleman on reception of the evenings / nights of the same two days. Thank you

I was not aware that pets were welcome until I was at the property. This was not an issue for me but this could have been an issue with friends who have allergies. They were separated at breakfast and hopefully they have separate bed room policies for these. Our room was nearest the elevator and the corridor noise throughout the stay was noticeable.

Staff are helpful and friendly and try to fix problems. Room was compact, shower a little too compact, especially for my husband. Bar area is warm and comfortable to sit with laptop/book whether you have a drink or not

There was a big problem with the room heating, which also affected the heated towel rail in the bathroom. 3 out of our 5 days/nights we didn't have proper heating and it was a very cold few days. We were given a heater and on the last night extra bedding. Also recurrent internet connectivity problems

Room was very nice and comfy with good facilities. The coffee machine was a welcome bonus and very much appreciated. The dog bed, bowl and biscuits for the dog were wonderful - he had a fabulous time. Great location too. Lovely hotel with lovely staff.

Didn't like the soap/shower gel that was in the bathroom and I would of really liked a shower cap to be provided. The shower was fine but did not like the shower curtain - a glass screen would be preferable but appreciate it is just personal choice. There were not really any issues just a couple of minor things that did not spoil our weekend at all.

The bed was comfortable and I slept exceptionally well as the room was almost silent. I did not have any meals as I was out most of the time with friends. The bedroom and bathroom had everything needed. I particularly liked being able to choose not to have my room serviced and in return, received a £5 voucher per day to spend in the restaurant or bar - I shall use these on a future visit. There was plenty of surface space on which to put things. The room light was good enough to read in bed. I liked being able to open the bedroom windows as the weather was warm.

The chair to sit in the evening watching tv was adequate but not very comfortable over an extended period. The tea and coffee provisions were minimal - but I could have requested more.
