As stated, a family run hotel, with several members involved in the day to day running. Very welcoming and they accommodated all requests from guests. Very dog friendly, they were allowed in bar for breakfast and evening meal times, plenty of grounds to walk in and poo bin provided. No charge for their stay, which is getting rather these days. The room was spacious and clean, although neighbours could be heard, so soundproofing not great, but fortunately no-one was too noisy. Breakfast and evening meals were good, but beer choices on draught were limited.
The disappointment for me, was I was unable to do what I had planned, which was local walks directly from the hotel, as the road it's on, although a B road, is 40mph (of course people drive faster than that) and there is no footpath on either side. So, I had to drive out to go anywhere, which I hadn't intended to do. It might be an idea to mention the road restrictions in the hotel description. I was fortunate to stay at a weekend where no functions were on, as I would imagine it would be noisier then, but it does warn you that they have weddings etc there.

Have stayed at park hill before. Just off main road but feels like you're more rural with lovely surroundings.About 5/10 mon drive from Oulton Broads. Easy access to main A47 road. When I stayed before, my husband & I were in annexe. This time, staying with my daughter, we were in main building. Room on ground floor with access to french doors that opened to grass area with tables & chairs. Room was comfortable and fine for an overnight stay. We had breakfast included and it is cooked to order & you can have cereals/fruit/yoghurts/toast on request- not buffet style. Breakfast was lovely & hot. Staff all very frjendly. Would stay again.
Room could be a bit cleaner, lots of dust on light fittings, like room isn't used often. You are given a paper bag on arrival with remote, tea/coffee, in plastic bags- feels like still being in covid a bit. I take a hairdryer, as you have to ask for one- not in room. Table & chairs outside french doors could do with some TLC. Just minor faults on what was a lovely stay overnight.

We travel to Lowestoft every year mainly to visit the nearby Redwings horse sanctuary. The hotel is situated in a fairly rural location, set well back from the road with lovely grounds and ample parking. It's an easy 10 minute drive to the seafront. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and the cooked breakfast is excellent. They are very dog-friendly too which was the main reason we first picked them but it's a great place to stay even without a pet. The rooms bear no signs of previous canine guests.
There is really nothing to fault. It's not a luxury hotel but then it doesn't claim to be and isn't priced as such.

Lovely quiet place in a pretty surroundings.Members of staff were very friendly and very attentive! we visited with a big dog and the hotel was very accommodating - thank you again to the lovely staff! I've got to mention that the cooked breakfast was fantastic! A bonus was that we had a bath in the bathroom for a nice long soak! Great place with definitely value for money!
There was nothing that we didn't like 😊 all 👍 (This is just an observation and not a complaint- There's a sign in the bathroom, but please just be careful as the running water is extremely hot! so don't let your kids run a bath 🛁)

We liked the staff, friendly and helpful. We liked the food excellent breakfast and evening meal. Limited menu but food cooked to perfection. We liked the hotel being dog friendly and no extra charge for our furry friends. Some hotels are charging exhorbatent fees up to £25 a night per dog. Our dogs enjoyed their stay and were made welcome. The hotel is ideally situated between Lowestoft and Yarmouth and within minutes of the lovely dog friendly beach at Gorleston. This was our third visit and we will be back.

An excellent hotel especially for those travelling with their furry friends. Extensive grounds in which to walk your dog and close to the dog friendly beach at Gorleston. The hotel is also within easy reach of Yarmouth, Lowestoft and Olton Broad to name a few. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is something to be looked forward to delicious and sustaining The evening menu is a bit limited but the food was expertly cooked, by the owner I think, and beautifully presented. The other thing I liked was there was no change for dogs whereas the majority of hotels are now charging between £10 and £25 a night per dog and this can add a lot to a holiday. This was our second visit and we have booked another holiday later in the year. I can recommend this hotel without reservation book now and enjoy your holiday.
Nothing!

Everything was absolutely perfect! The room was a great size, as was the bathroom, a very comfortable bed, and being on the ground floor with doors opening out to the lawn was great as we had a dog. It was peaceful and chilled atmosphere. The breakfast and evening food was fantastic. Really can't recommend enough and we will return
Erm.. if I was being picky.. some background music in the dining room. But other than that tiny detail it was perfect

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Breakfast was great, very tasty, good quality produce. Good choice of evening meals, we ate in the restaurant twice and had a bar meal the other two evenings.
Nothing that we didn't like. Just a note: like any older building, especially one on a hill ( our room was in the main house) the water pressure may not be to what you have at home but this didn't mar our stay at all. Lots of hot water, you just have to find a happy medium.

It's an old hotel with lot's of history some quirky furniture. Great very well priced bar food. Lovely grounds. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Not being a dog owner I could occasionally smell dog. It is a pet friendly hotel. Sadly the bathroom was fresh and new but very poor water pressure from the shower. However I managed. Shame everything else was very good.

We arrived at Park Hill Hotel just before 7pm for a quiet, and isolated break for 2 nights. The Hotel is set in some really nice grounds, with adequate parking. The Hotel has 17 rooms, 7 inside the main building, and 10 external. We stay inside the main building. In room 3 The room was very generous in side, and was family room with 1 king-size bed, and 2 singles. The bed were comfortable and clean. We initially thought we had no TV, then walked into a door which we expected to be the bathroom, which in fact opened into a small lounge area, with a reasonable sized smart TV, sofa, coffee table and tea making facilities. Next that was the bathroom with shower. The room itself, was a little dated, and bare. This may have been contributed, by the sheer size. However, for the price, it was very generous. The Hotel facilities within the main building, what we could see was dining room, a lounge room, where should could read, or play board games, with lovely bay doors/windows to the garden. There is a small village less than half a mile down the road, and Tesco’s around a 5min drive. The hotel also provided a small, but comfortable bar area, which also sold food, and several selections of popular common pub lagers on tap. We spent a number of hours throughout the weekend in the bar area. The food we had was very reasonably priced, and really good quality. Everything appeared to be home made, and to order. What was surprising, was with the premium ingredients, such the smoked salmon, and was not skimped on at all. Really nice, fresh, and in abundance. However, what made the experience for me and my partner, was the staff. The staff where amazing. It was like they we all cut from the same cloth, so helpful polite, and accommodating for any request. We didn’t make absurd requests, but anything asked for like Ice etc., was provided without question. We would both like to say a big thank you to the staff member who work the evening shift (Carol).
The hotel just needs a little updating to decor. But, it still holds it charm.
