So I e always been taught that when reviewing or critiquing to end on a positive note, so let's start with the negative.... right that's the negative points finished with. Amazing hotel, staff were always smiling, room was perfect and soooo clean. Breakfast was .... perfect and if you enjoy a coffee, you'll be filling up on it! Location was stunning and convenient for lowestoft and great yarmouth. This will be our go to hotel when visiting family in the future. I genuinely can't fault anything about this hotel so if you want a beautiful, quiet place to stay, this hotel I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Nothing!

As stated, a family run hotel, with several members involved in the day to day running. Very welcoming and they accommodated all requests from guests. Very dog friendly, they were allowed in bar for breakfast and evening meal times, plenty of grounds to walk in and poo bin provided. No charge for their stay, which is getting rather these days. The room was spacious and clean, although neighbours could be heard, so soundproofing not great, but fortunately no-one was too noisy. Breakfast and evening meals were good, but beer choices on draught were limited.

The disappointment for me, was I was unable to do what I had planned, which was local walks directly from the hotel, as the road it's on, although a B road, is 40mph (of course people drive faster than that) and there is no footpath on either side. So, I had to drive out to go anywhere, which I hadn't intended to do. It might be an idea to mention the road restrictions in the hotel description. I was fortunate to stay at a weekend where no functions were on, as I would imagine it would be noisier then, but it does warn you that they have weddings etc there.

The staff were helpful and friendly. There was a lovely cooked breakfast and choice of cereal & yoghurt each morning.. The bar area was dog. friendly, so we could take our dog with us for breakfast etc.Our room was large and on the ground floor, with French doors onto a lawn ,so was ideal for us to sit outside with our dog..The grounds are lovely for a walk .Plenty of parking spaces. No extra charge for bringing a dog.

The water pressure in the shower was not great. However, it was really powerful if you ran a bath.! An electric car charging point would be an asset.

Have stayed at park hill before. Just off main road but feels like you're more rural with lovely surroundings.About 5/10 mon drive from Oulton Broads. Easy access to main A47 road. When I stayed before, my husband & I were in annexe. This time, staying with my daughter, we were in main building. Room on ground floor with access to french doors that opened to grass area with tables & chairs. Room was comfortable and fine for an overnight stay. We had breakfast included and it is cooked to order & you can have cereals/fruit/yoghurts/toast on request- not buffet style. Breakfast was lovely & hot. Staff all very frjendly. Would stay again.

Room could be a bit cleaner, lots of dust on light fittings, like room isn't used often. You are given a paper bag on arrival with remote, tea/coffee, in plastic bags- feels like still being in covid a bit. I take a hairdryer, as you have to ask for one- not in room. Table & chairs outside french doors could do with some TLC. Just minor faults on what was a lovely stay overnight.

Perfect location as we were in the area for a family gathering. Staff very friendly & helpful. Room a good size & bed very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, hot & filling & cooked to order.

We did have a problem in our room but once bought to the attention of a member of staff it was dealt with immediately. A couple of other points, we did find the bathroom mirror to be positioned very high & only being 5ft 3in tall my husband was unable to use it to shave in. Also the water pressure in the shower was not very strong. .

We travel to Lowestoft every year mainly to visit the nearby Redwings horse sanctuary. The hotel is situated in a fairly rural location, set well back from the road with lovely grounds and ample parking. It's an easy 10 minute drive to the seafront. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and the cooked breakfast is excellent. They are very dog-friendly too which was the main reason we first picked them but it's a great place to stay even without a pet. The rooms bear no signs of previous canine guests.

There is really nothing to fault. It's not a luxury hotel but then it doesn't claim to be and isn't priced as such.

Lovely quiet place in a pretty surroundings.Members of staff were very friendly and very attentive! we visited with a big dog and the hotel was very accommodating - thank you again to the lovely staff! I've got to mention that the cooked breakfast was fantastic! A bonus was that we had a bath in the bathroom for a nice long soak! Great place with definitely value for money!

There was nothing that we didn't like 😊 all 👍 (This is just an observation and not a complaint- There's a sign in the bathroom, but please just be careful as the running water is extremely hot! so don't let your kids run a bath 🛁)

The location is beautiful. The staff were really friendly and accommodating especially at breakfast. Loved the little jams, marmalade and Nutella on the table for breakfast, all the breakfast tasted great, just wish there was more.

The water pressure for the shower is shocking, it dribbled out and isn't fit for use. The amount of food for a cooked breakfast, 1 sausage 5cm long and no baked beans. It would be good to show a menu so you can decide before being approached.

We liked the staff, friendly and helpful. We liked the food excellent breakfast and evening meal. Limited menu but food cooked to perfection. We liked the hotel being dog friendly and no extra charge for our furry friends. Some hotels are charging exhorbatent fees up to £25 a night per dog. Our dogs enjoyed their stay and were made welcome. The hotel is ideally situated between Lowestoft and Yarmouth and within minutes of the lovely dog friendly beach at Gorleston. This was our third visit and we will be back.

The grounds are beautiful, the room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was tasty and well catered whatever your age. My girls are 15 and 17 and we were all well fed every morning. I didn’t take any photos of our food as it didn’t last long enough! The staff are all very lovely and helpful. I have never seen a bathroom so gleaming white and clean :) We will definitely be back.
