Our stay at Gili Matiki was perfect from start to finish. A true slice of island heaven. Would (and hopefully will) comeback in a heartbeat.

More holiday time to spend here!

We loved staying at Matiki, the rooms were beautiful, clean, with air con and fan. Also with an outdoor bathroom/ shower with hot water. It's a quiet and relaxed vibe, beautiful gardens and nice, clean pool. The staff were friendly and cooked the best breakfast every morning. The staff are also able to help with ordering in food for delivery and organizing laundry. Matiki are also very eco friendly with a water bottle refil station and bamboo straws. From the harbor Gili matiki is a 15-20min walk but you can take a horse & cart from around 150,000rp. It's about a 5 minute walk to the beach on the sunset side of the island and the best scuba diving company is gili island diving centre. The island itself is gorgeous with its dirt and sand roads, easy to walk around but you can also rent a bicycle for around 45k.

We had a lovely stay at Gili Matiki, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is delicious and also served with fresh fruit. The pool was good and surrounded by lovely plants. The rooms are a good size, beds are comfy and rooms are cleaned, beds made everyday. The outdoor bathroom was nice. Our toiletries did become very warm when left in the outside bathroom which made some of ours dry up, so maybe best to bring them inside.

We wore earplugs every night but still we were woken up every morning, due to banging, shouting etc. I'm not sure if it is just where our room was situated (opposite the sun loungers). The walls are thin and the noise did affect our stay, that is the only thing if not it would have been perfect.

Whether you're looking to relax by the pool, explore the underwater world with some snorkeling, or simply unwind in a hammock with a good book, Gili Matiki has something for everyone. Overall, my stay at Gili Matiki was nothing short of perfect. It's a hidden gem on Gili Air, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and unforgettable island getaway. I can't wait to return!

The Bungalow we stay in was really clean, stylish and well made, with no gaps for bugs to crawl in. Also loved the outdoor loo! The whole property was really pretty and full of plants/flowers, with a lovely pool. Loved the hand made little information booklets to read about the island when chilling. The staff were really nice and gave us ideas for what to do around the island! Also really handy being able to casually hire bikes every day (which was really cheap too) to get to places (everything is walkable, but hiring a bike definetly made it’s more fun). Breakfast was amazing, with a freshly made smoothie made for us everyday! Loved that there’s a really good focus on being environmentally friendly and sustainable!

Incredible place, very friendly staff. The best breakfast in 3 months. Nice pool and details are just perfect. The room have all details you may need and the really will help you in anything. I was able to work from there and internet speed is quite good. It’s away from the main spots which can be too busy and easy to reach any place walking in 10 min max.

Not their fault really, but the hut does not have isolation. The island vibrates early morning with a Dolby surround mosque. You can’t do nothing about it.

Beautifully decorated, peaceful gardens, lovely pool, thoughtful touches everywhere, sarongs and hats to take to the beach, a tap outside each room to wash feet, delightful and helpful staff, easy bike hire, helpful recommendations and interesting info booklets in the room.

Not a big deal but was surprised we had to pay 5k IDR for 700ml water bottle refills - it’s not much, but didn’t expect to pay for drinking water at a place in this price range. We also stayed at a place half the price on Gili that had the same cold/hot water machine in every room for free.

From the moment we arrived we loved our stay at Gili Matiki! We were welcomed (after a long taxi ride, bumpy boat journey, and the horse and cart) by Uli who provided us with glasses of fresh watermelon juice, cold flannels, and smiles. We loved all of the little attention to details (like the straw bags with complimentary use of sarongs etc) throughout the property. We also forgot that the booking included breakfast... which went again above and beyond with fresh french toast/waffles/eggs any ways each morning with homemade pineapple jam and chocolate sauce, a bowl of fresh fruits, and more fresh watermelon juice. We looked forward to it each morning... sat by the pool, talking with fellow travellers. The location of Matiki was perfect - we hired bikes which made for much more enjoyable way of getting around as it was so hot when walking - as it's central location made for a quick, easy bike ride to anywhere on the island. We decided to extend our stay at Matiki from 4 nights to 6 and would choose Matiki over any other accommodation on the island when we return. The staff always welcomed us "home" whenever we returned with warm smiles and enquiries about where we had explored. They were also amazing with our little boy (2.5 years old)! We miss Matiki - it's energy, beauty, and abundance - and will be back one day for sure. Thank you to all of the team there for making our stay so perfect!

Nothing

First impression immediately: beautiful! A lot of eye for detail. We asked for a babycot and we get some toys, sleeping bag and some teddy bears included, wow! Next to that: super friendly staff, super good breakfast, clean rooms, amazing bathroom outside, goof swimming pool. If we had the change to stay longer we definitely did!

A quiet oasis in Uluwatu. The huts are beautiful and unique . My hut had 2 stories and lots of space. I did not use the pool since it rained during my stay but it was suprisingly quiet despite the pool being right in front of my hut . The staff is very friendly and helpful ! I felt welcome .

Only disadvantage was , that the accomadation was a little bit far away from the main area and Restaurants. Grab is available but at brunch times or when it rains it could take a while to get a Grab driver to take your ride . But this isnt really the hotels fault .
