A magical little place. The gardens are breathtaking, with beautiful walks through the old woods and land. Staying in these lovingly maintained rooms with original furniture, each with their own history, is an experience in itself. The beds were so comfy, and the absolute quiet, far away from roads where the only sound is the wind in trees made for the deepest sleep in a long time. The hosting family are the friendliest and someone you’d definitely would like to have a pint with. Breakfast served by a cozy fire was outstanding. We hope to be back in the future for longer with all our family 😊

We loved the house, the grounds and the hospitality. I visited with my mum who has limited mobility and Carol-Anne and Richard were endlessly kind and accommodating. They made our stay very easy and comfortable. Clonalis House is a very special place.

It was an unique opportunity to spend time in a historic Irish country home. Original furniture lent authenticity to what this home was when first constructed. Dinner and breakfast was five star ⭐️

Staying more than one night! Having time to have booked the historical tour of this country home of the last High King of Ireland. Getting a brief look into the museum with O'Carolan's harp on display and Brehon translations by Ireland's first President, Douglas Hyde.

Richard and Carol Anne welcomed us into their home like we were friends. Clonalis house is a piece of living history. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It gave us a chance to experience slices of history in authentic surroundings.
