Firstly, BIG thank you to ALL the amazing people at Gelsomina, you all truly made us welcome & serviced our every need. The restaurant is renowned across Italy & it didn’t disappoint. The staff have family roots to this magnificent place & it shows. Capri is an incredible place & Anacapri is amazing! We recommend getting custom sandals from Luca & Vincenzo in Anacapri (La Capri Chic) these guys are fantastic! The chair lift to Monte Solari is a must, cold beer & lunch at the top along with incredible views/photos. Our hike from Gelsomina up along the view points was amazing, we walked through Anacapri each morning. Sunset at the lighthouse (faro) is a must! Get there before 6:15pm so you don’t miss it! We see many beautiful sunsets in Australia but this one was just stunning. Da Gelsomina = AAA+++

We wish we could have stayed longer!

This is the most beautiful BnB imaginable! The view was incredible. The restaurant had the best food that I had in the entire 5 weeks that I spent in Italy. The ravioli is a must! The breakfast was impeccable and so many homemade pastries, cakes, and fresh farm eggs. The walking trails behind the Bnb were the perfect way to see Capri without any crowds or tourists. Staying here made me feel like I had all the beauty of Capri to myself. It's a dream and an experience that I will never forget. The staff was so kind and helpful. This place is perfection!!

It was a little confusing to figure out how to get there from Grande Marina and directions should be posted on the Directions page. Once the place was found, everything was heavenly! Posting exact directions in the direction section would be great. For example, when you leave the ferry, take a right to the bus platform. Tickets are 2.20 Euro each and large baggage cost an additional 2.20 per luggage. Tickets can be purchased at the Bus Ticket stand beside the bus platform. Take the bus that is labeled to go to o AniCapri. When you get to AniCapri, exit the bus and call the hotel and their shuttle car will pick you right up from a location that they share with you that is just by the bus stop. This would have been perfect to have these exact directions.

The restaurant at Da Gelsomina serves wonderful dishes – delicate, perfectly prepared, and deeply rooted in local tradition while feeling light and nourishing. Each plate is crafted with care, using fresh ingredients that carry the sun and flavors of Capri, leaving you satisfied without heaviness.

We loved the room, its size and decor plus colour scheme, also the balcony/terrace with its privacy and views were lovely, even the entrance to our room and the communal area were welcoming and very pleasant. The restaurant was really incredible, the food, wine, staff/service (thank you), with the views and surroundings being absolutely amazing. We were lucky enough to be given a front row in the restaurant with its fabulous sunset - we really appreciated this. The hotels own taxi service to and from Anacapri were invaluable and made our stay stress-free, the pool area and views were more than we expected; we loved it. The lunches served here deserve a mention too, and the atmosphere also. Every single one of the staff at Da Gelsomina were so kind and helpful to us, the restaurant staff on evenings and at breakfast, we were even greeted upon arrival at the hotel in their own taxi, also staff in the pool area, the taxi drivers and domestic. What a great team - well done! Thank You.

This family-owned hotel is actually a hidden gem. Every room has a terrace with a view of the vineyard and the sea, and the view is spectacular. They have a restaurant, which is manned by the family members with "Mama Gelsomina" in the kitchen doing all the cooking, and her food is exquisite. They utilize all the fresh ingredients that they grow in their gardens, and also make their own wine, which we loved. We never went anywhere else for dinner because you could not beat "Mama's" cooking, plus the view from the restaurant was extraordinary. They also have a beautiful built-in swimming pool, which we unfortunately were unable to utilize because they were just getting it ready for the season by the time we were leaving. There is also a wonderful road behind the restaurant that went all the way down to the town of Anacapri past villas and gardens. We spent 25 minutes walking down to town one day, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. They have their own shuttle to bring their residents back to the hotel from Anacapri. Do not be surprised upon your arrival to the island when your taxi driver from the port of Capri will not go to Da Gelsomina. They will only drive to the town of Anacapri because the road up to Da Gelsomina is very narrow. But they are very happy to contact Da Gelsomina and have their shuttle come down to Anacapri and pick you up with your luggage. It was not a problem for us.

The hotel is family run, they offer a shuttle service to the center of Anna-capri. From the first encounter every member of staff was super friendly and attentive but also just genuinely nice people trying to ensure you have a good stay. The hotel is set in a beautiful vineyard with amazing views out over the sea. particularly great for sunset. the restaurant deserves a special mention, exceptional local food, much grown in the grounds pf the hotel, beautifully cooked and in a great setting. Loved the wine too!

The air conditioning unit was quite loud especially at night

The location is fantastic. Our room had a little terrace over the vineyard and then the sea behind. There is also a breathtaking viewpoint next to the restaurant and a nice path to walk all the way to Anacapri. The pool is also great although we didn't use it as we did not have enough time. They also offer a free shuttle service to Anacapri all day back and forwards, which is nice and very useful because of the location. Restaurant nice and romantic.

I think the room, but specifically the bathroom, could do with a bit of an update. Just looks a bit old and tired, but it worked fine.

Beautiful view from the terrace, lovely pool. The restaurant food and staff were great. Understandably a very popular place with locals.

Mini bar in room was not cold at all, we would have liked to consume some items from there to enjoy on the terrace watching the sunset, but everything was room temperature, so an opportunity missed! The shower was not great either. Breakfast was a little underwhelming, especially considering how amazing the restaurant is when open to the public! The pool area was very busy with local families, obviously this is one of the main income streams, but it wasn’t as relaxing for hotel guests as we’d have expected.

The views, the space in the room, and the shuttle service to Anacapri were great. The staff were friendly, and the whole experience was so relaxing!! The restaurant is amazing for breakfast and dinner - definitely highly recommend checking it out.

It would be great if there was a way to contact the shuttle without needing a local phone number - we got lucky and found the shuttle the one time we hadn't planned ahead, but it would be great to have an option.

Wonderfull rooms with own terrace with sea view. Restaurant experience was also amazing. Food and service was the best we have had. Pool area beautiful and the service there also fantastic. And their own shuttle bus system worked very well and was experience itself!

It came a little bit surprise that the pool area is public also. As a hotel guest living in a beautiful peaceful room, I would love that same feeling in the pool area. Maybe we just had busy day full of people and kids at the pool. Didint bother that much, the area was still beautiful and would recommend.
