The breakfast (at the nearby restaurant which owns the hotel) was good. The seemingly endless stairs to our bedroom were a challenge for my wife who walks with a stick. The bedroom is small and the bed occupies every square centimetre, so opening the window involved some creative gymnastics. Parking is a problem which we solved by parking near the Grote Kerk, about 15 minutes’ walk from the hotel. Overall, however, we enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful experience at Harbour Suites in Monnickendam! The location is absolutely perfect—right by the charming harbor, offering beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. The suites are modern, spacious, and tastefully decorated, blending comfort with style. Monnickendam is a lovely, picturesque town, and staying at Harbour Suites made our visit even more special. It’s a great base to explore the region, and we look forward to returning!

A minimum of 2 water bottles at room for a couple stay would have been good.

The room was really clean and spacious and equipped with a nespresso coffee machine and a fridge with free drinks. There are also a bath tub and a shower in the room. The bed was really comfortable and the hotel is located in a very quiet and magical area. There are restaurants and a bakery just around the corner. Walks around the water canals are spectacular... if you are looking for a magical ,relaxing and quiet place off the jazz of busy Amsterdam ... this is the place for you. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. But the check in is in the restaurant on the otherside of the canal.

There wasn't really something to dislike, tho some people might dislike having a bathtub right in the room. It can be a bit confusing to find too, as you have to check in at a restaurant across the canal and then stay in the Building with 'HOTEL' written on it.

A great surprise in our trip round the Netherlands, Wonderful location the town is extraordinary for a short stop off season; we loved everything about the place. I do not know why people are complaining about the tunes played by the near church it is the wonderful part of the visit. The rooms are about the average in Holland- that is why I also do not get the low marks given particularly by the Dutch. Comfort, quality, design, free snacks and drinks, very comfortable beds, high quality of cosmetics, bed-linen, pillows, towels, etc. Just only positive experience. Also the supper and breakfast bought at the owner's restaurant nearby- just great experience, the food so tasty and affordable. The room upstairs for three people brought just sheer happiness among our daughters screaming with joy seeing the luxury and space.

read the instructions how to get to the restaurants where you pick up the keys, I did not and spent some time running around:) and it is across the bridge over the small stream just 5 minutes away. We were lucky to park the car in front of the hotel.

beautiful location in a small town on the North Sea Channel just 40 minutes from Amsterdam… great walking, few cars… wonderful restaurants, charming homes, a very clean and welcoming town

a little confusion as to where to check in… you need to go across the street to the restaurant and check in there, once we figured it out it was great all around!

Staff was very nice and available. The hotel is located in a nice city near Amsterdam which is perfect. There’s also a lot of places near the hotel to have a good time. The room was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed and fresh beverages in the fridge. I would totally go back.

The hotel is a bit hard to find the first time.

10/10, the location was just superb! Such beautiful, unique town! The clock tower you get used too, adds a charm whilst staying in the hotel. The room is tidy & shower was huge! Very generous hosts, wishing them the best of luck!

Good location The rooms are comfortable Mini bar for free and a welcome drink at the bar.

You have to do the check-in at the bar which is in the street in front. Not a big problem but uncomfortable when you have to carry luggage. Rooms are a bit noisy. But the hotel is aware of that and provide ear plugs.

We really enjoyed our stay! The hotel is located in the city center, everything was clean and tidy, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant was delicious. Highly recommended!
