The room had good linen, comfortable bed, a nice large window with a good view of the neat street. Lighting was good to access stairs and for same level toilet and shower nearby and a handbasin was convenient in our room The hotel was busy at night into early am but we didn't find noise was disruptive in our room for sleeping and the atmosphere created was a happy and welcoming one. The staff provided information on how to get to Amsterdam central on a short bus ride from a bus stop about 8 minutes easy walk away. There were few restaurants and takeaways close by but the hotel ran a restaurant and you could pay for breakfast there. A supermarket was just across the street, too.
The stairs to the second floor were steep and had narrow treads. The door hinges squeaked (needed oil). There was just enough room to walk around the end of the bed and the wardrobe could have had better hangers. Two pillows are good for sitting up in bed but we managed with the one provided. There was only one glass provided in the room, no kettle or cups to make tea or coffee and no small fridge if you planned to buy milk etc. during the stay. The toilet seat was very loose and the shower ran cold a long time before being luke warm, with just the right side tap working, it seemed. These were the only issues with the shared toilet and bathroom which otherwise were clean with soap provided and good access from the few rooms sharing.

The hotel was a 15-20 minute taxi journey from the Airport and cost in the region of £40 for a party of 6. The food in the restaurant was lovely and reasonably priced (the ribs were delicious!), and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in the pub and restaurant at the weekend was very vibrant and its clearly a regular haunt for locals in the area. The pub closed promptly at night time and there were no issues with people leaving the premises. The area was really nice too and had some lovely surrounding shops, and the bus stop into Amsterdam was only a 10-15 minute walk away.
Though we knew there would be some noise, the music from the pub below was extremely loud on the Friday night (until 2am) for those of us in the first floor rooms, though those located on the second floor weren't affected. The noise was slightly quieter on the Saturday, again until 2am, and thankfully quiet on the Sunday, therefore I wouldn't recommend this hotel for anyone with young families visiting on a weekend. The stairs up to the rooms were quite steep so wouldn't be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The breakfast was quite basic but reasonable for the price.

Very friendly staff, comfortable beds, wifi worked fine, nice quiet location, possibility to have breakfast. Very good price to amenities ratio The fact that supermarket Lidl is across the street was very convenient.
I liked everything. If you make a reservation in this hotel have in mind that, in order to go to the centre of Amsterdam, a vehicle is needed. You cannot go on foot. With the bicycle it took me a nice 30 minutes ride.

If you are looking for a modern hotel, better pay three times the price and stay at the airport. If you feel that a real Dutch Hotel run by very nice Dutch people and frequented by local people is for you, stay at the Abina. The bedroom, old style, came with clean cotton sheets and a comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet had a good range of cereals, bread, cheeses, cooked meats and coffee that was regularly refreshed with fresh hot coffee. Google maps is not a big help for arriving on foot, the 300 bus from the airport to Amstelveen bus station about once every 10-20 minutes for €3.00 shows up but not the bus that will drop you off close to the hotel on weekdays. The hotel staff has a useful information sheet in English, telling you how to go to Amsterdam by bus from the Kruiskerk bus stop about 10 minutes walk away. The route takes you past the Concert Hall, Museum area etc.
For what the hotel is, everything was OK for me.

Even though the hotel is on top of a pub, we couldn't hear the noise from the pub when in our room. The room was nice and clean, so was the bathroom and we had a nice night.
Arriving a bit later than we would have wanted, we had a bit of difficulty to find someone to help us to our room, because the entrance of the hotel is from the inside of the pub, that on that day was quite full, also making a bit hard to get in with our bags. But other than that, the place was great. The pub itself was also really nice. The stairs were a bit hard to climb with the bags, but nothing impossible. We later notice most stairs in older buildings in the Netherlands are like that, so I wouldn't say that was a big problem. More like something to keep in mind.

It was situated in a nice area next to transportation and the area was quite safe. A lot of cute houses, small town with lots of flowers. It had a restaurant and a bar.
The headboard of the room we stayed in had scratches like nail scratches, that was kinda weird and it freaked me out a little bit. The showers are also commun but there was only one shower so when you took a shower you weren’t next to other people so it wasn’t that unpleasant.

Very easy to check-in and check out. Easy access to public transport and grocery store. Very nice location. Very comfy beds. Although it didn't have a separate toilet, the room had a faucet.
Overall room space was enough, but almost entirely occupied by the bed, so the room is only suitable to sleep overnight. It was fine for me alone, but for two people might be too tight. No table, no fridge in the room.

Close to public transport, shops and nice breakfast. The 2 host ladies in the morning were excellent and friendly. Lesley let us feel at home. Rooms 7 and 8 were good for 9 nights 3 people to explore the Netherlands. Well done to the cleaning lady as the share bathrooms were always clean and smelled fresh. Bar noise on Friday and Saturday nights could not hear in our rooms and also enjoyed the vibe.

If you are looking for a place to party until 2am Hotel Abina is perfect. It was very loud between 10-2am but when it hit 2am it was super silent and you can get very good sleep. The staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is great! With Dutch music other hits and great area to stay in. T
Sadly we got the room right above the speakers so our bed was shaking and it was very loud until 2am. The room looked basic but that’s okay. Otherwise it was amazing, definitely a place to visit to experience a local Amsterdam bar party.

I stayed gor one night in the hotel. The employees were very smart and very welcoming. Room and bed were small and clean, convenient for one person. The toilets and bathroom are shared but a sink is available in the room. The service-price ratio was excellent, I will happily come back if I have the opportunity
A pleasantly decorated bar is located on the ground floor. Music and especially bass sounds can sometimes be heard even in the bedroom, which bothered me a little until I fell asleep
