It's called a "capsule hotel," but it's a real hotel with private rooms and your own bathroom with a shower. It's got all the usual hotel stuff but with a cool, modern, and simple look, and it's super cheap. The staff are awesome – from all over the world, super friendly, and really good at their jobs. They made my stay so great that I stayed for four nights instead of two! The only thing is the location, which is about an hour from Amsterdam's city center.

The metal design chair in the room is questionable 🪑🤨 . The interior designer who put it there belongs to Jail, because it's really uncomfortable and completely impractical for guests.

I liked that it was really bright to cover the fact that there was no windows, everything was new, good ventilation, hot water all the time. BEST MATTRESS OF MY LIFE. There was hair dryer, kettle, etc. to borrow. Staff and cleaners were super!

It was too far away from the tram station, it didn't have windows (we knew that before booking, but still pretty shocking), you could hear everyone in the hallway. They didn't have any carpet, floor was freezing. It took too long for ac to start heating. When showering there paddle was made in front of toilet and it didn't dry off. Plus, when I payed for noodles in vending machine, they charged me 25€ instead of 5€, they gave me back money but it was all I had left at the time...

Clean, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, very novel and efficient use of space. My room was very lucky to have a window where I could see the canal outside, but the prismatic decor made the room so bright and cheerful for me. I will rent here again if the price stays as low as it is (~€87 EURO or $140 CAD / night)

The rooms are sectioned off in pods (good), but still have almost no sound proofing (bad). You will hear almost everything in your pod hallway and neighbours room. Stuffing a towel at the base of the door helped a bit. The upper bunk bed is surely more than 6’ off the ground… in hindsight, I’m much too short and old now (40s) for trying to climb a vertical ladder more than once in a night — and there is no shelf along the bed, so keeping water or your phone with you meant they had to sit beside your pillow. The shower is not separated from the sink/toilet… so you have to plan ahead to keep towels and toilet paper dry… I had flip flops with me that saved me on the wet floor.

We had a great stay at this capsule hotel in the Netherlands! The location is perfect, especially if you're renting a car, with ample parking space that made it easy to come and go. The capsules themselves were surprisingly comfortable and private, providing everything I needed for a good night’s rest. For quick snacks, the vending machine in the lobby was a lifesaver, offering a variety of food and drinks for when I needed a fast bite. The rental bikes were also an excellent bonus—affordable and easy to use, allowing me to explore the area at my own pace. Overall, this capsule hotel offers great value for the price, with a convenient location, comfortable rooms, and useful amenities. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a modern, budget-friendly stay in the Netherlands.

Me and my friend stayed here for 2 nights, on request we asked for a room with a window that was accommodated straight away. The reception staff were lovely and friendly, I loved that the downstairs toilets had big mirrors and plug sockets so as we were waiting to check in I curled my hair. The rooms were clean and more spacious than I thought, there was no WiFi card, kettle or any facilities in the room but it wasn’t a problem. The higher beds are very difficult to get up and down from and very high which I didn’t like so next time I will get a lower beds. The hotel is next to an abandoned building which was a bit scary but it didn’t matter, the location is quite far out but there is a supermarket 15 minutes from it. Overall it was very good value for money as I think we only paid a couple of hundred, it’s a budget hotel and I would recommend for tourists who are on a budget. Thanks guys!

Room is clean and very functional, although tiny. It's actually an interesting place to stay in, kinda futuristic. Location not the best ever, but you can easily get there by tram + 10-15 min walk,

Access to the bed (I booked single upper bed room) is kinda clumsy and not very pleasant. I ve had better experiences with ladders in hostels and wastewater treatment plants lol. The upper bed room definetely not recommended if you have any sorta of physical limitation. The room is tiny, and the provided chairs way too big and heavy. Its legs are spread too wide at the bottom and I tripped over them several times during the one night I stayed there. A more compact chair would fit the purpose much better

It's hard to write a fair review because Amsterdam is just ridiculously overpriced. I only stayed one evening, so I decided to take the capsule hotel. It is exactly what it is described as, so I cannot really complain. The room is big enough to sleep there, the bathroom is nice, the staff is friendly. Would I stay there for much more than a night? Probably not, but if you don't mind to stay a bit farther away from the centre and don't plan on spending too much time at the hotel, this is a good choice.

The location is just a bit too far away for my taste. It's easy enough to reach, and as an airport hotel it's also a good choice, but if you plan on going into the centre, it's a bit of a way to get there.

We had a great stay at Diamond Capsule in Amsterdam! Staff were lovely and very welcoming, you are provided with complementary coffee, juice, and croissants in the morning which we appreciated, and although the rooms are small, they are cosy and kept exceptionally clean. Keep in mind when booking that this is a fair distance from the centre of Amsterdam - it is a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest tram station, and from there you will need to catch a tram and a train to reach the centre, which ended up being around 50 minutes of travel in total, but this did not bother us too much! All in all, I would recommend Diamond Capsule if you are looking for more affordable (but still very nice) accommodation around Amsterdam.

This was the first capsule hotel I have ever been to. And if you also have not yet been to such hotels, definitely do not be afraid to book this one. Once you book, the hotel sends all the instructions you need and answers all your questions right away. On the whole we liked everything very much. The hotel is clean everywhere, friendly staff, has a convenient check-in and check-out system. There is a tram stop 5-7 minutes away, there are shops and a launderette nearby. The neighbourhood of the hotel is very quiet, peaceful and close to canals where you can see different birds. Maybe the hotel is a bit far away, but definitely worth the money. And there is an opportunity to see non-touristy places of the city, which is also important. We were satisfied with both the hotel and the trip. And I would definitely recommend this place to my friends. And I would like to say thank you to all the staff for their care and love for all their guests 🙌🏻.

The bathroom has a rain shower system, which is not convenient for women. It would be cool to add a regular shower head. We also didn't figure out the air conditioning system. In our room, the modes switched independently and it was impossible to set the desired mode. So it would be great to add a little instruction on how to use this system.
