Good choice for breakfast, great location.
Disappointingly our room looked worn, on returning to the room at midnight on the second evening there was a puddle of water on the floor just inside the door with water coming through the ceiling. The night staff quickly gave us another room to sleep, that room also looked in need of re-furbishing. We enjoyed a great stay in this hotel last year, with our expectations more than met as to quality of the room, sadly this was not the case this year. The hotel did give some compensation by not charging for breakfasts.

The New Hotel of Marseille - Vieux Port is located perfectly in the city; within a stone’s throw of the Vieux Port, but not directly over it where noise could be a problem. Upon my check in, the kindness, courtesy, and professionalism with which Chloe and Mario greeted me were unrivaled (and during my stay they helped me with restaurant recommendations and anything other questions I had), and this set the tone for what was a most wonderful stay at the hotel. The breakfasts were excellent with abundant selections. The pool looked beautiful and inviting, but I didn’t have time to take advantage of it. My only other regret is that I couldn’t stay there longer than I did. Should I return to Marseille, I’d gladly book a room at New Hotel Marseille - Vieux Port, and I’m happy to recommend this hotel most enthusiastically.

We had a beautiful corner room on the top floor with a large L-shaped balcony that overlooked the port and the city. The room was modern, clean and efficiently laid out. The breakfast was good, with lots of fresh fruits, the service excellent and the dining room looked out over the pool area. The location was fine but it was not as close to the city center as I had thought. A taxi was required for any excursion.
All European hotels seem to have installed those TERRIBLE make-your-own-coffee machines at the breakfast buffet. The coffee, if you can call it that, is really terrible and all the guests comment on how bad it is. Those same terrible machines were installed in every hotel we visited.

Location was fantastic, easy 10 min walk back into main area of Vieux Port but meant during the olympic football we were in a quieter area. Very easy to walk the other way to the beach and bus went from road outside into the town and along the coast. Room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Definitely needed aircon in France this summer. Reception staff spoke good English and were the most helpful and friendliest on our trip Pool was lovely, loungers and towels provided. Decent selection for breakfast. Very accommodating over keeping our luggage after check out until we left for the airport
The pool was open for 12 hours - depends who you spoke to if from 0800 or 0900. Logistically if it was possible to swim a bit earlier or later would have been even better. Pastries never as good from hotels as the local boulangerie / patisserie so you might want to skip breakfast and go to one of the local cafes.

Excellent option in Marseille. We used the pool lots which was needed in the hot weather. Loved the watermelon slices in the afternoon. Reception and concierge very friendly and helpful. Rooms spacious and air con magical for summer months. Supermarket close by as well as a few really good bakeries. City beach in walking distance too.
There’s not much to mention that needs addressing. Personally I would like a nespresso machine in the room as instant coffee doesn’t work for me. But I appreciate that’s a big ask.

Everything went well, in particular the hotel desk staff were super friendly. The hotel was in a great location with public parking literally underneath. The parking garage was exceptionally clean.
The breakfast wasn't at the height of the hotel. For example the boiled eggs were not good, there were no bananas and the cereal was meh and the bread knife was really dull. Also the pigeons were super aggressive when we were seated outside and the hotel just didn't deal with it well enough.

Breakfast was good with both hot and cold options. Stayed in room with huge balcony looking out on back by the fort. Refrigerator was helpful for storing beverages to enjoy on balcony. Cool artwork throughout. Moderate sized pool for my daughter to enjoy. Good sized bathrooms. Bus stop around block 2 mins walk. Probably closer to 15 min walk to Vieux Port. Very close to beach for beautiful sunset.
Room was smaller than expected. Couldn't open closet door to use full length mirror. Not enough room to store two rollerboard suitcases easily. Had to use chair for one bag.

Staff were very polite and helpful. Good decor. It’s a nice walk by the port to get into the city centre centre and there’s a bus stop right outside.
If you have a room at the front it’s a very busy, noisy main road, it’s fine if you’re used to that - but rooms at the back are much quieter. We had to change rooms due to a very noisy air duct in the first room which woke us at 6am! Staff v helpful about changing rooms.

An absolute delight, this weird hotel near one of the most fantastic places of Marseille: Catalan Beach. The staff is fantastic, friendly and helpful. There's super weird art and design pieces everywhere and while the interior design isn't very tasteful, the vibe is amazing. Mainly because of a big patio where one can lounge like a boss and the hotel pool that has a super chill vibe. Very hip and happening.

The hotel is in an excellent location, very close to the Vieux Port and right across Palace du Pharo. I loved the art pieces displayed around the hotel. It was very stylish and comfortable. The room was also very clean, comfortable and welcoming. The staff was also pretty helpful to fulfill all the questions. We could park the car at the Parking Pharo right next to the hotel, and the reception gave us a discounted rate at the park.
