You get what you pay for, and the hotel's offerings reflect the price. That being said, the hotel is spotless! My well-sized en-suite room overlooked the beautiful Walensee, and I even had access to a spacious garden—perhaps they gave me this room because of my dog? The hotel restaurant was excellent—nice atmosphere, efficient service, well-sized tables, a great view of the lake, and a fantastic selection of Swiss food. Schifffahrt Hotel may not be one of the glamorous hotels you’d find in Dubai, New York, Berlin, Madrid, London, or Vitznau, but at a third of the cost, it ticks all the boxes! Perfect for a short stay!

I can only say good things about the accommodation – the staff were friendly, everything was clean, and breakfast was perfect. Very good value for money.

The only difficulty we encountered had to do with public transport. Just a note for future tourists: getting around meant using buses, but unfortunately, bank cards were not accepted – only cash. This caused some inconvenience for us as tourists, though of course, this wasn’t the accommodation’s fault.

Beautiful location on the Lake where we were able to put in our kayaks and go for a wonderful evening paddle. Lovely staff. Ate dinner here which I would recommend. We had pork schnitzel with mushroom and cream sauce. Quiet bedroom. Very clean. Sad to have only been able to stay one night. Balcony to the rear where you could listen to the cow bells tinkling away.

The hotel is easy to reach by public transport, the room was big enough for a family of 3, clean, they also added one more single bed as we requested,although we did not need it as we could all sleep on the big bed. The food at the restaurant was perfect and the buffet for breakfast had everything you expect to find on a breakfast.

The room did not feel warm and since the heating is central you cannot adjust the temperature manually. We asked to increase it, they said they did but Indi not feel big difference. To clarify, it was not cold but it was not the type of welcoming-warm. For one night it was fine for us.

Excellent location if you have a car. The view from the room window is just magnificent (attached photo). The room is spacious and clean, all wooden to fit the environment I believe, so do not expect a modern hotel. Both the room and the bathroom is clean. We only stayed for 1 night but I guess it can be a good option even for a longer stay if you are visiting Switzerland and Lichtenstein. Breakfast was okay.

Breakfast could have more egg options (only boiled eggs available). We asked for a double room that in fact had 2 single beds put together which was not the most comfortable option but it was okay. Nothing really bad to say about this place.

This is a nice Swiss feeling hotel in a very nice location on the lake with great food. You walk under the street in front of the hotel and you are on the lake with a nice walking path all along the lakefront. The scenery here is the most beautiful. The restaurant must be the best in town because you must make a reservation for dinner but it is worth it. The staff are the nicest and most helpful. This is a day's drive from our house but we are planning a trip just to come back here.

This is not the hotel's fault, just remember Switzerland is not cheap but I think this hotel and food are worth it in this location.

The hotel was charming and located across from the gorgeous lake, with a lovely restaurant on site.The hotel staff was very extremely friendly and helpful. We left a personal item in the room, hotel immediatley contacted us before we realized we had left it and made arrangements to have the item mailed back to us. The rooms were nice, containing comfortable beds, bedding and pillows.Our stay was just for the night on our travel throughs but we enjoyed the hotel and area very much we will come back to Mols very soon.

During our stay there was construction on the train tracks just outside the hotel that brought alot of train horns and noise that was not disclosed prior to our arrival. The hotel did provide earplugs but they did not help much. The breakfast was very limited and smaller than most hotels we stayed at. During our stay it was extremely hot and humid and were surprise it did not have a fan available.

Great views to the lake (from lakeside rooms)! Easy access to the public beach (only a 2min walk from the hotel). Decent breakfast buffet.

Facilities are dated although kept clean. The hotel is located next to a busy train track so it is never quiet. There are trains running even during the night. No AC in the rooms so during hot weather you have to keep the windows open which makes the noise problem even worse. When we left, the receptionist acknowledged they should do something about to the noise problem (presumably just provide ear plugs to each room)

Extremely warm welcome from very friendly helpful staff. The hotel is perfectly located with ample parking, the rooms are clean and well equipped. Beds are comfortable and the shower was powerful. Food was exceptional great choice perfectly cooked and a good portion when you’ve been riding a motorbike all day. The breakfast was fabulous!! So much choice, all good produce and very well presented. I would highly recommend a stay at this fantastic hotel. I know we will be back

Clean modern rooms with good internet and breakfast buffet. Beautiful location across from the Walensee. Perfect for public transportation as the bus stops next to the hotel. Half hourly connections to the train. Swim in the lake is possible! Tasty food in the restaurant.
