Conveniently located near the square, cute, homey, but somehow a little indifferent on some points which, with just a few touches, will make this place a terrific destination. For starters, greet guests warmly, explain where the stairs are located,who has what room(we had three), which floor, etc. and above all - smile! Show interest. Please don’t misunderstand this review, as no one was rude, it’s just that it all seemed …robotic. The morning breakfast girl was better, and breakfast itself was a very nice array of everything one would want. We all liked our rooms, all on different floors. Truly, this place is getting close to where I think it will be(better) and it’s just so important in those first few moments when one enters a hotel to create that lasting impression that a smile is often returned with a smile from the guests. So very easy, and makes for a happier place. I would stay again, but it’s an indifferent place at the moment. Very affordable.

Interesting hotel in an old dutch-style building. Location is very good. The bed was really comfortable, and both the room and bathrooms were spacious.

It's an old building, so be prepared for creaky floors, see-through doors with no soundproofing, etc. But it is all expected in such a place, so you know what you'll get. Attention: the steps (especially to the last floor) are REALLY steep, and REALLY short to step with your foot. I was fine and this didn't bother me (it was actually interesting to experience it :-) ), but if you have a big suitcase, or you're a bit older, or have some trouble with climbing, think twice.

The room was so spacious, location was wonderful for what we wanted to do. We were close to the village square and close to the train station. Breakfast was delicious with a large variety to choose from. The beds were very comfortable, pillows great!

Reception was a little less than friendly when we arrived in the afternoon. However, the receptionist in the morning was very pleasant and helpful to us. The couch in our room was so hard and uncomfortable. The online pictures showed that it would be a much larger couch, so we were surprised. But that didn't matter, as we didn't spend that much time in the room.

Location is the very center of Delft (not in the same building as the hotel itself, but just around 100 meter away), a separate studio with all amenities, spacious bathroom, smooth check in.

Soundproofing is typical for old canal buildings in historical city center - everything from the outside and the common hall is perfectly audible, but it was pretty quiet around - just people passing, and a couple of ambulances at night. A bunch of short stairs inside the studio: to the kitchen and bathroom, and to the sleeping area, - i think it's a charming way to see the authentic architecture inside, but someone might not be comfortable to climb 5-10 steps every time within the apartment.

The hotel is fantastic. The location is excellent... within 5 mins walking distance to the station and the city center

The behaviour of the staff was polite but not very cooperative. Our room was on the 2nd floor (without an elevator), my mom being senior citizen wanted to use the restroom on the ground floor near the reception after the breakfast. However she was not allowed to. We did not get toiletries everyday (even after they were finished). Also we wanted to keep the luggage at the reception after check out for which we were charged 5 euros.

Room was large and even had a little sitting area around a small table. Location was very central within close walking distance to the train station and all the main attractions. Royal Delft factory /museum was only 20mins walk. Staff were very helpful and welcoming.

I prefer showers not to be over a bath ..but that is just my preference. The room was in an annex ..across the canal from the main hotel but still annoying in the cold & rain if you needed to go for breakfast or speak with staff. A refrigerator was in the room but disconnected. Would have been useful.

We had a beautiful huge comfortable character-ful room in the eaves at the very top of this old building (third floor) overlooking a canal in the delightful old part of Delft. The manager who might have been the owner of this delightfull little hotel was welcoming and helpful, taking our cases up to the room and bringing them down on departure, much appreciated because the final flight of stairs was almost vertical. Lovely buffet breakfast, plenty of choice. Great view, great location in old quarter

Three flights of stairs would have been too much for less able guests and we didn't know about them in advance. One of us uses a walking stick. Cheapest parking in the area costs 30 Euros or more per 24 hours but Phoenix Car Park underground is only 5 minutes away.

Great value for money. I read some reviews, positive and negative to set expectations and I found it actually very good. It was just a night to avoid commuting for my job. Room was great, rate was fine, bed was ok, bathroom was fine. Breakfast was very good, nice warm croissants which I like to go with the coffee. Attentive staff. All in all, a good experience.

Maybe the room was a bit noisy. Building was old and the room directly at the ground floor close to the entry and sitting area. But it's an authentic old building so it's understandable. It didn't bother me.

The location is very closed to the train station. We stayed on the 3rd floor with 4 street front windows facing two canals. It is the largest room of the hotel. I would not recommend to book the smaller room as the building is old, build in 1798 or 1789, it might be too crumb and won't be comfortable. The hotel has got EXTREMELY steep stairs, it is not suitable for people with mobility issue. The good thing is they would take your luggage up to your room for you. The breakfast were all the same in our 4 nights stay, simple but the person who handled the breakfasts was very attentive. Generally I was happy with the hotel.

The steep , spiral stairways are too much for people with mobility issues.
