Everything. The hotel is truly exceptional. We stayed in an attic room ( lots of stairs) but well worth it. The view from our window showed the rooftops of houses and the tower of the Nieuwe Kerk. I doubt there is a view in Deft as stunning as this one. Breakfast was exceptional. Fresh healthy food, including eggs, yoghurt, a variety of very fresh bread and toppings, a make-your-own little pancakes machine and best of all, a squeeze-your-own orange juice machine. I would like to especially commend Dorottya, as she helped us with a few requests with enthusiasm and graciousness. I cannot recommend this beautiful hotel highly enough.

Not a thing!

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Johannes Vermeer in Delft. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the old town and within walking distance of all the main attractions, cafes, and shops. The hotel itself has lots of character, with a charming, historic feel and tasteful decor. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. One thing to note is that, for the price, it felt a bit stingy that breakfast wasn’t included. Also, the soundproofing between rooms could definitely be improved—you can hear your neighbours quite clearly. Thankfully, during our stay, the other guests were respectful and quiet at night, but it could be an issue if you’re unlucky enough to be next to less considerate people. Overall though, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return for the location, atmosphere, and service. A great base for exploring beautiful Delft!

This is a beautifully preserved older building full of character and charm — don’t expect modern amenities like lifts, as it was built well before they were standard. What it lacks in modernity, it more than makes up for in atmosphere and location. Conveniently situated near the canal and just a short walk from the city square, it’s ideal for those who appreciate heritage architecture and want to be close to the heart of the city. A unique stay with plenty of old-world appeal!

A great cappuccino at breakfast - you are free to have another - and it is made with a lovely attitude. The hotel has their own bikes (even if at extra cost). This is a great option to get to TU Delft without walking for ages. The fact that the bike can be used from the hotel means you do not have the open/closing hours of a bike rental. The hairdryer, iron, lamps etc. all work and a re good quality. These details are not neglected at Vermeer.

Despite the less modern finishes of this hotel, the many positive aspects completely dominated my actual, very enjoyable experience here.

The Hotel was a very nice place to stay in Delft, with an exceptionally beautiful view over the city (as we were on one of the top floors). The building is charming, down to the traditional winding staircase, which was quite alright for us as we were able to carry our bags up it. It was a very comfortable place, and the bathroom was exceptionally nice, clean, and spacious. Delft is a quiet and peaceful place to stay, and it feels very nice to walk around the town, full of lots of trees and beautiful buildings. Thank you for a very nice stay.

I let the hotel know I will arrive early. Easy early check-in, which went so smoothly. Felt very welcome. I asked for an ironing board in the pre-check-in requests ... everything was there, ready when I arrived. The Vermeer hotel has its own bikes to rent, so there are no logistics to wait until rental shops open. Cosy place for breakfast and very good coffee from the bar. Every interaction with the staff is very friendly and helpful.

It is possible to hear people in the next room.

Hotel made a real effort as it was my Birthday, decorated our room. Lovely staff. Bar prices very reasonable. Out of season, so we had the run of the lounge.

Good job we are agile, the stairs to our rooms were very steep. Breakfast was a little of the pricey side. Misunderstanding with housekeeping, as I wanted our room tided and my Sister didn't, so hotel went with her request. Was sorted.

The common areas are pretty and the theme of Vermeer's pictures was really everywhere, which what we wanted. The location is great!

Our room didn't have a window which we could open, so no air except through ventilation of the bathroom and actually very little light went through the vitrage we had. It felt quite claustrophobic and we were supposed to have a better category room.

The hotel is lovely and in the perfect location in the centre of Delft but not too far from the station as well. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was also large. The patio is nice with a great view. The wifi is great.

The bathroom could have had more shelves and a shower door but that is a minor complaint. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The location is wonderful. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom very good. The stairs to room 15, 16, and 17 are steep and winding. We were in 17. Even without any baggage the stairs would challenge many people and with baggage be impassable for many more. However, the staff is congenial and does offer to assist with bags. Once up the stairs, the room is very comfortable. The breakfast included in our reservation was quite good, with a very pleasant restaurant space.
