unexpected free breakfast which was lovely surprise, good size room and lovely huge bed, nice to have a fridge in the room as well as microwave so we could self cater

room quite dark and dated, few cracks in the shower and around the room, could do with an uplift, aircon old and noisy but working, hot tub not working and pool area and loungers quite dated as well

It is a nice location for Sequoia National Park. A short drive down the road offers a handful of different restaurants and shops. The pool was closed, but the river is just behind the hotel and probably better for a dip anyway. The room was spacious and clean. The AC unit seemed a bit old (and loud) but did the job well enough. The walls, or maybe just the ceiling, are a bit thin; we could hear folks upstairs walking about and turning their AC on and off. However, it wasn't a big deal, and I still slept fine.

The hotel is located close to the entry for the Sequoia National Park which made it an excellent location for us. The room is very good with comfortable bed and all necessities inside. The receptionists were friendly.

There is no opportunity to get breakfast on the premises.

Location wise it’s a further drive into the park but it is near 2 restaurants and few shops and market. The bathroom was clean, as was the rest of the room. The refrigerator was an excellent size. Blankets on the bed were very comfortable and kept us warm. Also the heater worked excellent on the cold nights.

I’m not sure if it was due to wind, but I was on the 2nd floor and there was a lot of creaking or tapping sounds throughout the time in the room. I assume the refrigerator was making noises when it would start up. The TV only got 8 channels max.

They were able to accommodate a last minute booking and were very easy to work with. The room was clean. The property needs some updating as the bathroom window didn't lock, but overall we were very a happy with our stay there.

We loved the large pool and sun loungers. Breakfast was waffles and toast and fruit which was basic but ok. An hours drive up the Generals Highway to the Sherman Tree hiking area.

Walls too thin, in common with a lot of American motels.

Hot tub not heated. Checkout procedures not explained so when I left before office opened, I didn't know what to do with key. $240 a night seems high for what I got granted yes, it was close to a California national park.

I stayed one night and the check in and out was easy, and parking was plentiful and right next to room. I was upgraded and the room was clean and had everything I needed with a nice view of the sunset.

It was the first motel on your way to the park and still in cell service radius, but was still a good distance from the entrance.

The central location and proximity to the lake and recreation areas. Room was comfortable and AC worked wonderfully especially during the extreme heat! A dip in the pool before bedtime was relaxing. Restaurants and general stores are a short drive.

The room decor could be updated to provide a modern look (desk, curtains, and linens). The playground area, pool area, and landscaping areas around the property could be more maintained. There were several pieces of garbage left behind in those particular areas (of course all us visitors need to do our part by placing our trash in the garbage cans provided throughout the property).

I know there are other bad reviews...maybe we got an updated room? But it isn't as bad as some made it out. Now it isn't luxury. You are staying for the location near the park. Our room was clean. Pool was clean and functional. Hot tub was out of order.
