Late Check-in was easy and the front desk was super helpful. As not in high season yet, we were upgraded to a bigger room which made our stay very comfortable. New room was quiet, spacious, clean and very cozy. Access to indoor garage is a must on winter. Nice sauna and hot tub for after skiing. Free shuttle to ski resorts is great for those not driving there.

More closet space / hangers are needed. Hot tub is a bit crowded, so rotation/time-limits should be enforced. Rooms may be loud if on the first floor. Warm breakfast could have alternate options - we were there for a week and the exact same options were served every day (scrambled eggs, potatoes, and sausages). Maybe they should have a rotation like potatoes<>tomatoes<>peppers or sausages<>bacon<>patties - so the breakfast for those staying longer than 2 days doesnt get boring.

The location was perfect!!! You were the first stop on the bus to banff sunshine so always a seat guaranteed (a lot of people got left due to no room in the mornings to go skiing!!). Also first one off when coming home! So that was amazing for us!! Perfect walking distance to the village shops! Breakfast was pretty good! Had eggs with a meat option, yogurt with fixings, and some pancakes and other bread options!!! Our room was great! Had a balcony which we could see mountains off of!

Only bad thing I could say is our shower was out of body wash and we had to ask a couple different workers to fill it but it eventually got done! But it wasn’t a biggie for us because we all brought stuff in case!

Nice no frills lodge, located at the top end of Banff Avenue, 10 minute walk from the centre. Rooms were clean and a reasonable size. Beds were comfy and the shower was decent with good water pressure. Communal areas were well maintained with a well stocked bar and snacks available. Breakfast was okay, but the options were limited and the same every morning. What wasn’t so great, our key card stopped working on our last night. Reported this to reception so I could get back in and the attitude of the member of staff made it out to be my fault! No apology, I felt like an inconvenience to her! Towels were way too small, bath sheets would have been better.

We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel and its amenities for the price that we paid. Being that it is located conveniently on Banff Avenue we weren't expecting such a nice, comfortable place that came with Nespresso in the room and a free breakfast for under $200 a night! The afternoon S'mores roast was a very cool and unique idea! The outside hot tub, cold pool and sauna were a nice touch; albeit we didn't get a chance to use them. The front staff were hugely helpful in booking us another day for the same rate we had secured on booking.com Would stay here again.

Breakfast staff Aaron was quite rude and uncommunicative, could have used without his attitude for sure!

We really enjoyed the dry cedar sauna, the courtyard area is lovely. They have a great hot breakfast and a nice lounging area. The front staff was so helpful, especially a gentleman named Kieran. He was knowledgeable and so friendly, the best customer service we have ever received at a hotel.

The hot tubs in the afternoon/evening were always full. Groups would stay in for long periods not allowing others to enjoy it. We experienced this the last time we stayed here, it's frustrating. There should maybe be a sign up sheet? The hot tubs only allow 4 people at a time and every guest should be able to enjoy them during these peak hours.

The hotel is beautiful and very well allocated, they are in the Main Street, the rooms are comfortable, everything is very well organized to leave your sky things, they have a very good parking space, they have a small bar where you can buy food and drinks. It’s great you have everything you need.

Is not very clear when they are going to clean your room and also in our case the day that they clean our room it was at afternoon not at morning so it was wear. Also we always left the towels hanging so they wouldn't wash them and changed them every day (to be eco friendly ) and they still changed them.

Wonderful hotel! Quiet and comfortable, lovely room with a balcony-and spectacular view! Breakfast is great. Beautiful outdoor area with seating, firepits and 3 soaking pools: 104F, 102F, and 48F cold plunge. Staff is super helpful! Underground parking was worth the CAD $19/night, as parking in Banff is challenging.

Mostly great. Room and bathroom have terrible lighting - very dark even with all of the lights on. Nearly left a vital item! Also, I was at a loss about the hot tub area: no idea if or where there are changing rooms/showers and where to get the towels.

A great place to stay. Very pleasant & helpful staff. A short walk to shops, restaurants, cafes etc. Bus stops nearly outside. My room was superb, with small balcony, cooking facilities, microwave, dishwasher, cutlery, utensils etc. Bath & shower, with two double beds. The hot & cold complimentary breakfast was a great bonus. Dinner on site. Also, hot, cold small tubs for 4 people outside & sauna. Staff helped me with some copying. I would highly recommend Canalta Lodge. It exceeded my expectations. One of the best in touring around British Columbia & Alberta.

Nothing.

The hotel is very well laid out, has a very new feel, and the staff were excellent. Our room was very clean, bright, was a good size and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The hot tubs and sauna get top marks - we enjoyed them every day!! I liked the breakfast - lots of options and good food: toast, potatoes, eggs, sausage/bacon, yogurt, cereal, pancakes, banana bread, vanishes, fruit. The main eating area is nice, spacious and comfy. Surprisingly, there is an excellent coffee/bar in the lobby area that has good food! We tried the Rosso latte, generous nachos and the flatbreads and it was all very good! There are board games to use for the family. Heated underground parking was very convenient. The hotel is located walking distance to the main streets in downtown Banff. In a pinch, there are some decent restaurants within 3-4 minutes walk and an A&W half a block away.

The staff was so friendly— From John who helped give us recommendations of viewpoints to Phoebe who was helpful with checkin. The hot tubs were very nice and we enjoyed our room with a view of the Main Street of Banff. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. We enjoyed the the afternoon s’mores, the breakfast, coffee, and water filling station. There was also ample parking on the street as we were visiting during a slower time. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again for sure.

The only thing I could say is maybe a rotation on breakfast as we stayed 4 nights and it was the same each day.
