Immaculate hotel next to the train & bus station. Very classy, very comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Although the restaurant closed early on the evening of our stay, they still prepared a meal for us. A Bolt taxi to the airport was €4.1 and the journey took around 5 mins. My father really liked this hotel.

Not a criticism, it was very quiet during our stay (although it was a Monday night).

We booked one of the suite rooms and it was brilliant! The room was absolutely huge and had a beautiful little Juliet balcony that faced out towards the Tatry Mountains. The location was directly outside the train station which was very convenient. It's also a short distance walk from the main shopping/restaurant area. The room was very well soundproofed so we didn't hear a thing from the trains or the station. We had tea and coffee making facilities in our room. We also had a fan. The staff were lovely and all accommodated our lack of local language and spoke English. The staff were incredibly helpful and printed out train time tables and maps of the area. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and it was delicious! Breakfast each morning was a great spread too! Highly recommend this hotel for those travelling by train and wanting to explore the Tatry Mountains area.

The room didn't have any air-conditioning and leaving the windows open broke the soundproofing so we were a bit toasty overnight. There's no streaming/casting/apps on the tv so if you don't speak the local language you'll be a bit stuck there. The spa bath had a hand held shower hose but no holder for the hose so it was quite awkward to shower, particularly with the sloped base of the spa bath. If you're happy with just having baths though, this won't be an issue. Don't let this stop you from booking it though because we really did have a great stay!

Clean and quiet hotel. Well preserved and thoughtfully designed. With a nice Cafe and a very good breakfast. The apple pie was delicious. Although the rooms do not have any air conditioning, we thought that that was actually a good thing. At beginning the room was hot but leaving the windows open for 30 min or so fixed that issue. Plus you do not have the constant noise of the AC and the unhealthy air produced by them. Further a AC unit in the room would not be very fitting. The furnishing was well selected. The staff was very friendly. You could really imagine the splendour of the past empire time.

Up to 11 pm there was loud ventilation noises from outside, but they stopped and it became quiet. The fuse box was loud too. Had to cut power. After that it became very quiet.

Location first and foremost as I arrived by train and after a long day I was overjoyed to find the hotel was literally just next to the railway station. The building is quite beautiful and spacious and I would be interested to know its history. Staff were courteous and the breakfasts were good. I particularly liked the availability of an evening meal and the choice offered although it should be noted that meal service finished at 20.00 on the evening that I dined. Poprad-Tatry is quite delightful and I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here 3 nights with my friend. The location couldn't be better. You will see this beautiful art deco styled historical building just after you exit the train station. The bus station is just about 100 m away, city center only 10 min by walk. Many thanks to all the helpful and kind staff. The room was spacious and very clean, so was all the hotel. The restaurant was great, all the food very tasty, I really recommend their cuisine, coffee etc. There is also a smoking room there. I would definitely come again. Many thanks

I would improve the breakfast buffet. The variety could be better for a 4* hotel. Even though this region of Slovakia is not particularly hot, the climate is changing even here, so someone would miss air con in the room during summer.

the hotel is opposite the train station, easy to travel to other cities on our trip but vital to get to all mountain villages that lead out to the popular hiking trails

This hotel is the only traditional building in a jungle of drab "socialist realist architecture" left by the Soviet Union all across eastern Europe.

I cannot critercize this hotel for anything , however, a coffee/tea making option would be nice in the room , and I'm wondering if the room will be cool during hot summer months as no AC , but heating was fine

Staff was excellent, pollite and attending. Room was large and nice, dinner was good and not expensive at all. Really nice.

I like to sleep window open but where my room was located there was some old diesel engine sound and smell coming in very early in the morning, some loading dock or something was there. I am sure no problem at all windows closed or in a room different side of the building. Just mentioning.

Hotel does not provide free transfer to the airport as described on booking.com The taxi called by the hotel reception makes the transfer to the airport for 15 eur one way, whereas the average rate is cca 7 eur and with BOLT TAXI cca 4-5 EUR.

The hotel provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The staff, particularly the kind and helpful receptionist from the Czech Republic, were exceptionally accommodating (and attractive). Their assistance in ensuring a pleasant experience was greatly appreciated.

The property is locted near the train station which and was alittle noisy at night.
