Beautiful inside and out, the half-timbered house has a large hall and wide staircase. The rooms are clean and nice

1. I don't like the smell of laundry detergent, which, unfortunately, the bedding smelled like. Although, perhaps, this is quite individual, and for someone it is, on the contrary, an additional plus 2. I did not like the reaction of the hostess when I asked to postpone or cancel the reservation due to sickness. I sent the request after the free cancellation period had expired. In this case, I expected two answers: yes or no. If it was "No", I would understand, because there are rules. But I didn't like the fact that the hostess started getting personal and accusing me of trying to cheat her.

Comfortable hotel

Wrong room allocated to us - without a mountain view as booked. Had to argue on the phone and was given a lovely apt, manager said 'at no extra charge' but we'd booked a mountain view anyway. Fire exits were locked and needed a key to open them, very dangerous. Outside paving stones on steps loose, uneven and dangerous

Villa Kunerad is a fantastic and peaceful accommodation, perfectly located in the heart of Stary Smokovec. The rooms are spacious and impeccably clean. The villa sits beside a gentle creek, creating a serene and calming atmosphere for the guests. The breakfast provided was excellent, offering a variety of savory and sweet dishes, as well as both cold and warm options. The villa boasts its own parking area, which is highly convenient. Moreover, it’s easy to reach the tram station and various restaurants from the villa’s central location. However, there were a few drawbacks during our stay. The rooms lacked darkening curtains, impacting our sleep quality, but it’s worth noting that most visitors come for the outdoor adventures rather than relaxation. Additionally, the bathrooms could use more storage space, including within the shower, and it would be beneficial to have full-length mirrors. We also experienced some noise disturbances from guests walking upstairs, which affected our ability to rest peacefully. On a positive note, there were plenty of amenities available downstairs, including a communal area with useful items for guests, such as information, an iron, and a hairdryer. It would be great to have some drying racks available to hang wet items. Furthermore, it was a bit inconvenient that there was no cleaning service throughout our entire stay. While this didn’t pose a major issue, I would suggest considering providing at least towel replacement at the accommodation. I happily recommend this for consideration in the future, as having fresh towels would always be appreciated by the guests Overall, Villa Kunerad provides a pleasant and quiet stay with a central location in Stary Smokovec. The villa’s cleanliness, breakfast selection, and thoughtful amenities add to the overall positive experience. However, some improvements in terms of sound insulation and bathroom facilities would enhance the comfort of guests even further.

Staff was very nice. The building was nice too. The balcony of the room was nice.

There were way too many stairs to climb: stairs to enter the building, stairs to get to the room and stairs inside the room! The room was very small. It was the last room as we booked last minute in peak season. The mattress of the bed was too soft.

Located in city center During winter the pension had good heating

Lovely spot, right next to supermarket. Town easy to get around. Property had everything we needed, large bathroom with a bathtub, good kitchen facilities, lounge space etc... very comfortable. Had a slight issue with being given the wrong room number, but they resolved it very quickly!

I stayed in Villa Kunerad only for short time but I was very impressed with it. Not only room was spacious , very comfortable of course clean and warm but also receptionist was super helpful and location is unbeatable. This place is centrally located in Stary Smokovec near the tram station near the bus station and there are useful facilities on your doorstep. You can also find nice restaurants and bars right outside Villa Kunerad.

Pension Villa Kunerad was the perfect place to stay for us as we were hiking around the stary smokovec area. It had everything we needed, was comfortable and clean.

The shower was a bit broken but we managed around it.

Perfect location in the heart of the Town. Beautiful building, comfortable rooms with everything you need. Helpful and nice owners.
