the lobby is absolutely wonderful, from it you step into the dining area, from which a beautiful view of the bay opens up. I was very satisfied with the room, it was clean and tastefully furnished, view from 6 floor is just wow. About breakfast, all you can wish for.

I don't know why the bad reviews for this hotel, how much agen? 7.8? I forgot, in short, I decided to give it a chance, well, next time I’m in Portorož i’ll stay here.

Had the best experience. Room was excellent, facilities excellent, views excellent, indoor pool excellent, staff excellent, Portoroz was the best place I have been to in Europe.

Hotel has extremely spacious rooms. Staff was very communicative and helpful in every situation. Location is just as you can wish to access any part of Portorož in couple of minutes by foot. And the view from the room and restaurant terrase is astonishing. Pool is large, not overcrowded and with sea water, very good in period when sea is not ideal for swimming.

The food was very good - anyone does not each better than this at home. But more variety of choices is expected for 5* hotel.

Starting from the moment we arrived, we enjoyed everything about the hotel. The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful with information about our stay and the area. The welcoming feeling extended to all staff as any staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful. Additionally, we received an upgrade so the room was phenomenal. The area around the hotel was nice for our dog as there's a lot of grass and places to walk him. Finally, the great breakfast extensive and had so much to choose from!

All the staff were truly kind and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of choices. The free access to the seaside pool was very convenient, although it's also open to non-hotel guests. The room was nice, not very big, but super comfy king size bed, with a lovely balcony and an amazing sea view. Overall, it was a good experience, but there are a few aspects that could be improved to truly meet 5-star standards, especially considering the room price.

The hotel does show some signs of age, especially in the outdoor areas near the spa, which was rather disappointing. The bathroom in the room was very small, with the shower inside the bathtub — a solution that feels impractical and in my opinion, not really suitable for a hotel of this category.

Loved my stay at Metropol. The location is excellent- set in lovely grounds back from the street. The outdoor pool directly across the road is fabulous. The sea is also a quick walk away. The breakfast was plentiful and very varied. The staff were all lovely.

I couldn’t quite work out the beach towel policy. It seemed perhaps you only got one which didn’t really work for a 4 day stay. I had my own so it worked fine for me but I thought there was probably something I was missing in terms of instructions!

Our stay at this hotel was everything we hoped for and more. An amazing stay from start to finish! The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a great variety to choose from. This is our second stay at this hotel and it is excellent value for money. The hotel is clean and beautiful, the staff friendly and attentive, the hotel braekfast buffet better than most I've had and I cannot recommend it enough. Also, there waa a pillow menu in case you don't like sleeping on the puffy hotel pilloes and it meant EVERYTHING! Will surely stay again.

It would have been a bit more convenient if the pool working hours were a bit longer as the salt water pool is one of the main reasons we chose this hotel.

Very clean, great location, stylish hotel with a nice sea water indoor pool and spa access. The view was great! Fantastic big balcony. Comfortable bed. Beautiful restaurant and terraces.

Breakfast is not a 5 star. There is an illusion of variety but in fact it’s not much to choose from. Tomatoes were cheap and hard to chew, no cakes, chemical cheap orange juice, poor variety of cheese, bread. Some staff doesn’t know how to smile. The shower didn’t have any door or curtain so after taking it we had to wipe all the water from the floor.

Rooms with the sea view are exquisite and this is the best view of Piran bay that one can expect. The location is a short pleasant walk from the centre, while all that you want (for example extraordinary dinner at the Marina Portoroz) is also in a short walking distance in the other direction. The terrace lounge is beautiful, some fans outside might be useful in the heat of the day. Exceptional stay!

I would love the bed to be a tiny bit softer (but I have special taste on that). The restaurant could be available in evenings (duty service!) for room service and that is the only (minor) missing part. I have difficulties in calling the reception after leaving the hotel (cant find an appropriate telephone) to check on an item I forgot but I hope it will be retrieved as I sent an email.
