The hotel is clean, breakfast is perfect. Location of the hotel is also very good. The stuff are very friendly. Rooms are clean and spaceous.

Although our stay was at the beginning of June, nothing was ready nor the season started. Bar in the pool area was not working even though there were a lot of people. They gave us beach towels day before leaving but no sunbeads nor umbrellas were on the beach. The pool should be renovated because it doesn't look like a five-star hotel pool.

Excellent hotel in a prime location on the Portoroz beachfront with free access to a private beach. The room was very modern, well equipped.

The bathroom was very small. No hanging space for towels and wet bathing suits. Breakfast, while offering a good variety of foods, had no good bread variety and for a five star hotel, should have offered quality coffee by staff on the tables instead of out of machines.

Great Location. Contemporary design. Indoor and outdoor pools, private beach across the street and private parking. Decent and spacious room (we had the suite), comfy beds. Staff was extremely forthcoming. Great experience overall. Very good value for money.

There were just a few minor things that should be addressed: Room cleaning a bit on the sloppy side, breakfast terrace area severely understaffed, and the indoor pool area might be in need of a touch-up soon. Did not take away from the great overall experience though.

Breakfast was quite OK. Plenty of choices with excellent food quality. Two sets of pools, clean, water was warm enough. Several bars/cafe in 5 min walk from the hotel. Nice staff. Outdoor car parking available in 2 min walk from the hotel. Nice 4 km walking route to Piran.

This is my 7th or 8th visit to this hotel (summer/winter visits), I started the same year when the hotel refurbished, so I am in position to compare quality. I noticed 2-3 greasy spots on rooms carpet. Swimming pool coats should be changed with new ones. Pool towels in the past were changed after singe use, now you get one towel for few days.

This is a lovely five star hotel, with a salt water pool and access to additional salt pools a couple of hotels away, which can be accessed through internal corridors. There are 6 Life Class hotels that all share access to the pools. We preferred the pool in Hotel Slovenia itself, although the Terme & Wellness centre did have a few additional features and was still available to access after checkout. The beds were super comfy and beach/pool towels were changed daily. Breakfast had a great choice of foods. I have an allergy to cows milk and there was a lot more available to eat than most hotels I've stayed in. We ate dinner in the hotel on one evening and it didn't disappoint. There are plenty of other restaurants and cafes nearby.

Lots of conference guests during the week, which made the stay feel a bit more business orientated than leisure.

Breakfast was great, I especially liked the pancake machine :) Staff was friendly and helpful, it was probably the swiftest checkin-in I had ever experienced.

We were there in early May and the first two nights the AC did not work at all (no air coming in the room whatsoever). I complained, they said that the AC season is not here yet... The air gets stuffy in these rooms when there is no air circulation. We had to sleep with the balcony room open, which was a problem due to street noise. For some reason people with sporty cars love to go up and down the street, below your window, revving their engines late at night... Another minor thing: they give you soap in little tubes, which is very awkward to use when you are just trying to wash your hands.

All of the staff (reception, bell boy, restaurant/waiters, room maid) are very friendly and helpful. This is unique and has been perfect during both our stays (last year, this year). The location of the hotel with direct view of the sea is great and invites to long and relaxing walks along the sea shore to Piran. Also of note, there is a very good fitness gym and great sea spa and sauna area, which make this the perfect relaxing and enjoyable place , even when the weather is not as hot as in summer. Breakfast buffet and evening buffect is also great (even for people with dietary challenges).

The room is nice and well equipped with everything we need. However, as one minor thing, the bathroom/shower does not have a door, but a big window into the room (Toilet is of course separate with a door). But there is not a full privacy, when you are showering. We see this trend generally at many modern hotels, but we don´t like it much. Nevertheless, this will not keep us from coming back. We´re already looking forward to next time.

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at the hotel. Our room was spotless, our bathroom was very spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Each morning, we looked forward to breakfast, which offered a wide variety of options to suit all tastes, but I wasn’t sure about the coffee from their coffee machine. One of the highlights of our stay was the dinner we had at the tapas restaurant attached to the hotel. The every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented. We also made use of the spa facilities, which were clean, well-maintained, and very relaxing. But I avoided using the strange corridors connecting the facilities and preferred to use a quick and easy to navigate on the street route. Another major plus was getting a spot in the hotel’s private garage. It made coming and going incredibly convenient. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would gladly return for another visit.

This is really the best hotel on Adriatic coast of Slovenia. If you want to see friendly people around, convenience, comfort and relaxation, this place and the hotel itself provides you with all what you need for pleasant vacation at fair price. The reception, room, breakfast (food, drinks and atmosphere), Therme wellness center, Meduza beach and Corso food koisk, Istrian bistro & Tapas bar, Café Central are just amazing. Worth to stay at Hotel Slovenija Portorož again and again.

Well maintained, clean, and extremely well-located hotel, with an incredible attached spa terme, an outstanding breakfast buffet and eggs to order, and a good Istrian restuarant on the ground floor. Easy walking area to the entire Portoroz / Piran area. Excellent seaside beach area, incredibly good customer service at all levels -- from our arrival with the bellman and front desk, to the restaurant and terme / spa staff to the cleaning crew. Easy walk to and from Piran along the water - and Piran is just a charming town and the perfect place for sundown cocktails! All around INCREDIBLE hotel and Slovenian Istrian Adriatic experience!

The only minor irritant is the wet bathroom concept but this is just so common in modern hotels - just meant shower splashing into the sink area. Such a minor and trivial point as to be meaningless...!
