Our stay was comfortable and we felt safe. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and immaculate.

The following understandably cannot be helped, but last time I had a side north facing room away from the noisy road. Didn't realise the traffic and trucks were so loud in the front. The lovely suite we stayed in this time did not get much sun in its location like the north facing room. I'll be back, but will definitely prebook the side room in future.

Spacious unit, with a built in braai on stoep, access to swimming pool, safe parking, accessible staff, Generator till 22h00 during loadshedding. Large fridge in kitchen. A bath and shower in bathroom. Starter fire pack was a bonus. Good location. Can walk to restaurants and art/craft/antique shops.

Lack of blind or curtains in kitchen - at door, and length of kitchen blind, window facing street, in Unit 5 too short to allow for adequate privacy. Visitors must ensure torch /lamps for power outage after 22h00. Weather was fine in January and rained on 1 day, no airconditioning should it be very hot. Temperature however felt fine in unit during our stay. There is a free standing floor fan. Opening windows led to mosquitoes entering unit. Visitors to take Tabart with them. Unit has 1 mosquito plug in repellent and doom.

From our last venue....this was FANTASTIC !!!! The hostess was Awesome and EXTREMELY HELPFUL....Nothing she would not do to make your stay a happy one. Beautiful pool area with a sparkling cold pool to cool the Karoo heat 🥵 Clean and Very well Equipped 👏👏👏 And she even treated hubbies rashes on his arm. Dankie !!! Dankie Baie !!! This place is just lovely, the owners were so welcoming & helpful. The area also felt really safe so it was nice not to need high fences around us. Each apartment had everything we needed and more. This place is incredible value.

There really wasn't anything we didn't like. The decor is fairly dated but then that's probably the explanation why they charge such reasonable rates. If it was done up then we wouldn't have treated our kids to an apartment each!

Sandy’s place is in a great position in Barrydale. Easy to find and very safe. Everyone was incredibly helpful at the property, including help with my very first braai. The room was cleaned every day and sheets were changed regularly. The swimming pool came in very handy when it became hot.

Great place, although it was only a one night stop over for me. The unit/apartment was huge with all the facilities you might need and the bathroom alone was larger than rooms I've stayed in elsewhere. Great shower (but pay attention to the instructions). 5 mins walk to a couple of eating options up on the main road. Very nice gardens and pool area around the back too. Last but not least, Sandy herself, a delightful host!

There's no breakfast option but you have everything you need to be self sufficient in the unit.

Barrydale is a beautiful town, and Sandy's Place is well located within the town. It is within walking distance of all the restaurants. The unit was well equipped and comfortable. We had parking right outside our door, which made packing and unpacking easy.

Make sure you use the non-slip mats provided in the bathroom, otherwise it can get a bit slippery on the tiles when wet.

I loved the homey feel and hospitality. It truly felt like we were looked after, and that was super amazing 👏 I also like how everything was thought of. From mosquito plugs to safety railings in the bathroom.

The bed was like a dream! The location is in a quiet area, but close to everything. Even though the units are next to eachother it is still private.

The gas geyser often switched off mid shower and the water would run cold. It wasn't a big problem, you just have to close the water and open again for it to be hot
